Lysander Spooner was right. “To say that an unconstitutional law must be obeyed until it is repealed, is saying that an unconstitutional law is just as obligatory as a constitutional one,” giving to the government unlimited power.

The federal government will never limit its own power. That’s why the founders told us that it’s ultimately up to us to get the job done, whether the feds like it - or not.

What most people try as a strategy to stop federal power has nothing to do what the founders told us needed to be done. Here’s a hint - it’s not about trying to convince the federal government to stop doing what the federal government wasn’t supposed to be doing in the first place. Path to Liberty: March 13, 2023

The people have always had the final say - they just need to use it in support of the constitution and liberty.

Compliance guarantees tyranny. So if we truly want liberty, we have to be willing to stand up for it and exercise our rights - whether the government wants us to, or not.

An act not warranted by the Constitution is void. And it should be treated that way, too. This is exactly what Thomas Jefferson - and even Alexander Hamilton - said the people and states should do.

When you think about it, letting federal judges determine the extent of federal power just doesn’t make sense. After all, federal courts are part of the federal government. They aren’t exactly unbiased observers.

We are supposed to resist government when it goes beyond its legitimate powers. Not wait for government to stop doing the things it wasn’t supposed to be doing in the first place.

“That which is not just, is not Law; and that which is not law, ought not to be obeyed.” That’s what the founders and old revolutionaries said about government acts that go beyond the limits of the constitution. They are merely acts of usurpation - an overreach of power. And should be treated that way, too.

Ultimately, it’s up to the people to protect and defend their right to keep and bear arms whether the government wants them to or not

Rights are not a gift from government. If they were, they wouldn’t really be rights. It’s not really liberty if you first need to get a government-issued permission slip

Waiting on government to stop doing the things they weren’t supposed to do in the first place is not a good strategy for protecting the #constitution and #liberty. Instead, the people are supposed to “resist if the government usurps power not delegated to it.”

Most people get the supremacy clause of the constitution almost completely backward. They think anything the feds do is “supreme.” Here’s a surprise: Most people are wrong.
