Cats Know Their Given Names
Researchers Say Cats Respond to Their Given Names A new study from Sophia University in Japan says felines will recognize their names out of a group of words. Cat owners were instructed to read off
a list of nouns until they reached their pets name. According to researchers, out of all the words, cats reacted the strongest
when their name was called. The study's authors add that the cats also responded to people other than their owners. Researchers believe cats may associate their names with things they consider rewards. Such as getting food
or being pet. The themed-establishments are where people can sit around and hang out with cats while enjoying a coffee.
