The call came in: "I just bought a house and there is a Pit Bull chained up in the basement. I'm not sure how long it's been down there." A man purchased a house in St. Louis, Missouri and when he went to check out the basement, what he found was heartbreaking on multiple levels. A female <a href="https://rumble.com/v47vkt-dog-left-chained-to-table-in-sub-zero-temperatures-left-to-die.html" target="_blank">Pit Bull dog</a> was down there, <a href="https://rumble.com/v34hwe-this-dogs-been-chained-to-this-wall-for-8-years.-now-watch-as-rescuers-appr.html" target="_blank">chained</a> by the throat. Of course, the new owner’s first reaction was to call Stray Rescue, an organization dedicated to make St. Louis a compassionate city towards animals. They were quick to respond, carrying crates, treats and leashes, because they had no idea what they will find down there. When the rescuers opened the door leading to the basement, the dog’s reaction said it all. Boy, was she happy to see these kind people! She wagged her tail and nearly choked herself on the chain, trying to climb up and into freedom. She didn’t bark, she didn’t bite, but she sure did provide the rescuers a challenge to free her of her restraints. As soon as she felt released, she started jumping up and down, kissing and hugging those who set her free. Later it turned out that a squatter was occupying the property, leaving tons of garbage behind and this poor soul. Nobody knew who this person was or why they decided to leave in such a hurry and leave behind this precious pup. They named her Jumping bean, for obvious reasons. The entire freedom trip to the shelter, she literally jumped all over the rescuers, wagging her tail like there’s no tomorrow and offering her belly for scratches. Even though dogs are not asking for help it doesn’t mean that they don’t need it. It was the first bitter cold day in <a href="https://rumble.com/v3eiee-treyas-new-beginning-stray-rescue-of-st.louis.html" target="_blank">St. Louis</a>. A woman named Donna was tracking a mama dog full of milk in North City that was spotted on a block of abandoned houses. "I thought that she may be with her puppies on this freezing morning, so we pulled up in the alley behind the abandoned houses where she had last been spotted. The first house had broken boards covering the missing back wall, and it was a perfect spot for a mom to go in to keep her puppies safe. All the windows on the second floor were also missing, so we could actually see piles of trash inside." says Donna. They hadn’t even made their way in before they heard a dog barking. They climbed through the holes in the boards to get inside. To say that this house was disgusting would be a gross understatement. There was trash, broken boards, blackened peeling paint, rusty nails, and a strong, foul smell that made the rescuers stop breathing. The scared mom was shivering from the freezing breeze. Donna threw her some food to gain her confidence and it worked. Once she was safe in the jeep, they went back for her puppies. Hearing the puppies’ winning made it easy to find them in the garbage. A litter of small and completely helpless baby dogs were looking for their mom. The litter of seven <a href="https://rumble.com/v3h52t-baby-tries-chunky-food-for-the-first-time-and-isnt-convinced.html" target="_blank">chunky</a> puppies were then reunited with their mom and brought to a shelter where they received the care they needed. This is a story so hard, it will haunt you almost as much as it did the people at Stray Rescue. This pup's nightmare is over and her new life is just beginning. This is Treya. A firefighter noticed that she was living alone and secluded under a deck and went back for her. The firefighter's girlfriend Donna is a rescuer that managed to capture the poor frightened dog and pull her out of her misery. Treya's story is devastating at best. Left alone for five years after her owner was killed, she was chained and left to lay under the deck of a house. Close neighbors were able to provide her with warmth and food enough to keep her alive, but they couldn't get her out of the chains that held her. As she grew, the chains got tighter against her paw, so in desperation she had to chew it off. Treya was wary of human interaction and just couldn't relax around her rescuers, so the shelter decided to introduce her to another rescued soul, Little Pinky. The moment Treya meets her new friend warmed our hearts over, watching her wag her tail. This rescue was incredibly stressful as the abandoned house was literally crumbling around the rescuers. The mama dog was not happy they were taking her puppies, but it all worked out in the end! This is a video that should not be missed by pet owners and viewers alike! This heartbreaking video shows that heroes do exist in this world and come in different forms. Heroic rescuers from Stray Rescue of St. Louis arrived at a crumbling, abandoned home and put themselves in danger to rescue this family of dogs. It would be a very stressful rescue, but wait for the <a href="https://rumble.com/v327y4-ten-years-chained-a-dogs-happy-ending-rescue-story.html" target="_blank">happy ending</a>. They first befriended and captured the male dog and loaded him into the car, then they needed to find the female dog and the puppies, which weren’t as cooperative as the male. The conditions in the pitch-black basement were disgusting. They used a board to protect themselves from mama dog, who was upset by the fact that rescuers are not giving up, and try to take her puppies. After two hours they had the male and the two puppies safe in the car and the mama dog was exhausted, and they eventually managed to capture her as well. They were named after the Home improvement family and they are all doing great. The playful puppies Brad and Randy are in a foster home. Tim the Toolman Taylor is a big goofy boy who loves to play, and Jill just loves to cuddle. Tim the Toolman Taylor is already adopted.
