81-Year-Old Guitarist Stuns Shop Staff

Move over, Rolling Stones – there’s a new senior guitarist in town! Mick and the band might be in their 70s and rocking solid, but Bob Wood here is 81 years old and still going strong on the guitar. The senior citizen from Nashville, Tennessee blew the minds of the employees at a local guitar shop and subsequently the minds of everyone who has access to the World Wide Web, when the shop, confusingly named British Audio Service uploaded a video of Bob playing an impressive version of the standard “B same Mucho” in their salon. The video racked over 2 million views and the Internet can’t keep its mouth shut about the frail musician. They wanted to know everything about him, and Wood’s immediate family and friends were more than happy to oblige in the comments. Wood grew up playing music in the Shenandoah Valley, and was signed on as a regular performer at Jamboree USA in Wheeling, West Virginia, in 1970, where he performed for 10 years. He was named Entertainer of the Year by Eastern States Country Music Inc., and in 2007, he was inducted into the Southern Legends Country Music Hall of Fame. Wood cut several albums during his career, including this ice-cold piece of ’70s-era cool, Bob Wood Plays It Cool. Keep on rocking, Bob!

Man Pops Giant Lawn Bubble In His Backyard2m17s

Man Pops Giant Lawn Bubble In His Backyard

There is nothing more satisfying than watching this man burst the water bed which created a giant bubble underneath his lawn, in Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania. According to James Callender, the man in this video, the cause of the giant bubble had been from torrential rain in the area. "That's what you call an old-fashioned mud puddle", comments his wife. Watch James in his quest to pop up this gigantic bubble, by poking holes into it. He is having fun with his new yard bubble and keeps the neighbors entertained. After poking several holes in it, and nothing happened, he decided to stands on it. As he climbs on it, the water inside starts moving around, making it look like a real waterbed or a gigantic balloon that is about to pop up. Brave James doesn't give up and he climbs on it again, and puts pressure on the water bubble with his feet, to help release the water from beneath. Finally, the water started pouring out and that is very pleasing to watch. The muddy water started falling down like a waterfall, and to everyone's disbelief, James didn't sink entirely into the underground bubble and that was the moment of truth. You don't see this phenomenon everyday that is for sure. If you have trouble popping up bubbles, this is the right thing for you. Credit: James Callender via Storyful

Great White Shark Leaps From Water, Steals Fishermen's Catch2m27s

Great White Shark Leaps From Water, Steals Fishermen's Catch

This is an impressive footage of a great white shark chasing bait in front of a diving cage off the coast of Gansbaai in South Africa. The video, captured on October 2, shows the huge shark breaching after brushing the cage. The great white shark has no known natural predators other than, on very rare occasion, the killer whale. The great white shark is arguably the world's largest known extant macro-predatory fish, and is one of the primary predators of marine mammals. Watch this incredible moment when the terrifying great white shark bursts through the water to snatch a bait right next to a dive cage. The activity of being lowered into the sea in a protective steel cage in order to view sharks or other dangerous sea creatures at close range is called shark tourism, which is a form of eco-tourism rooted in having communities appreciate that local shark species are more valuable alive than dead. Instead of opting for a one time economic benefit of harvesting sharks for their body parts, communities are made to assist interested tourists who may want to see live sharks. This amazing video shows the shark up-close as it tears the bait set up by spotters. This is about as up-close and personal anyone without a death wish should get to a great white shark. A group of charter boat fishermen aboard the Stunmai II in Cape Cod Bay, Massachusetts, hooked a bit more than they bargained for on August 12, as a great white shark leap from the water, snapping up their catch. Fishermen on two of the Stunmai’s charters dropped lines in the water hoping to reel in striped bass, but were surprised to see two great white sharks get to their catches before they could. Shark sightings are not unusual in this region, according to a post the uploader made to Facebook where they claimed that sightings often happen at least once per day, if not more.

'Glory Hole' Spillway Overflows At Lake Berryessa 2m14s

'Glory Hole' Spillway Overflows At Lake Berryessa

The Morning Glory Spillway, called the 'Glory Hole' by locals, spilled over for the first time in 10 years this week. The overflow is a result of a month of recent rains filling the river in formerly drought-stricken California. Drone operator Evan Kilkus told Storyful that the latest rains in California are topping the lake off at over 3.5 feet above the World Famous Glory Hole Spillway at Lake Berryessa. His latest drone video shows Lake Berryessa, Putah Creek, and the Monticello Dam. What a spectacular phenomenon this is. Locals around this lake were not expecting such substantial rainfall, as it was supposed to be a La Nina year, meaning that the surface temperatures of the sea were below-average. The result tends to be reduced precipitation, or can even result in a drought. That is what caught everyone by surprise. Planet Earth still contains many mysteries that sometimes science can't understand, but isn't it just awesome? Take some time out of the day to observe the beauty that this world has to offer. This mysterious hole in Lake Berryessa in California is not a supernatural whirlpool, a demon’s mouth, or a portal into hell or a fourth dimension. Also, the creepy thing probably won’t suck you into it either because it is just a really big drain called a spillway. Once you set your eyes on the spiraling water, it is hard to take them off of it. Footage shows the World Famous Glory Hole Spillway at Lake Berryessa overflowing for the first time ever. Recent rainfalls not only brought the lake up, but they also brought lots of rocks and mud down onto the highway. After a drought-ridden 10-year period, water finally spilled on its own into Lake Berryessa’s Glory Hole, bringing an end to the longest gap between spills in the lake’s history. Mere inches away from the water at Lake Berryessa’s Monticello Dam reaching the Glory Hole spillway for the first time since 2006, locals flocked to the site this past week for the opportunity to witness the momentous occasion. This phenomenon is truly something you don’t want to miss! Check out this crazy 'Glory Hole' or if your interested in buying a Drone to do your own filming, you can buy one of the top selling drones on Amazon!

Great White Shark Attacks Kayaker In Monterey Bay, California

A kayaker carelessly cruising the waters in Monterey Bay, California got the scare of a lifetime, when he had the saour pleasure to watch another kayaker get repeatedly attached by a great white shark. Gene Mace captured the moment a kayaker was attacked by a great white shark in Monterey Bay, California, on March 18. Gene Mace and his wife were out in Monterey Bay when he noticed a man had been flipped from his kayak. Mace took out his camera and saw that the man was under attack by a great white shark. Mace continues to capture the attack as he tells his wife to call for help. His wife can be heard speaking to authorities over the phone. The couple watches helplessly as the kayaker tries to swim away from the great white. After a few minutes, a boat approaches the kayaker and a man, Lt. Cmdr. Kyle Franklin, can be seen trying to help the kayaker up to the small sailboat. “Suddenly, I heard a loud Bang as my kayak and I flew into the air. I landed outside my boat, look back to it and to my horror saw a large great white shark no more than three feet away had my kayak in its mouth. I could clearly see its 2-inch teeth and it’s black eye that looked lifeless,” said Mace. Franklin was out sailing with his wife and daughter when he saw the kayaker frantically swimming away from the shark. The video cuts off when Franklin approaches the kayaker, but a 29-foot Coast Guard Response Boat, stationed in Monterey Harbor, later arrived to rescue the kayaker, who was too tired and cold to get on the vessel on his own. What an insane moment.

Man Captures Incredible Footage Of Mountain Collapse

Lloyd Cotsen was in Zuma Beach in Malibu, California when he inadvertently filmed a quite extraordinary mountain collapse at Point Dume that extended into an adjacent parking lot. No injuries were reported from the March 25 incident. Lloyd, who had actually intended to film whales that day, described the scene to Storyful: “I was just waiting with my friends who were loading up their paddle boards and noticed the “dirt waterfall”. So, I turned my camera on it just while I was talking to my friends. If they had left sooner, I would have missed it." Nicole Mooradian of the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors, which owns and manages the parking lot adjacent to where the slope failure occurred, told Storyful that, “after the slope failed, we closed a portion of the parking lot to ensure the safety of our beach patrons. We have since reopened the parking lot.” A similar incident was recorded in Qianxinan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province in China on July 10, when a huge chunk of clay and rock breaks away and crashes off the side of the mountain, after a season of heavy rain has hit the country.

Irish Guys Impersonating Conor McGregor Get Interrupted By Conor McGregor

It seems that this UFC star doesn’t just exchange fists with faces. While taking a stroll through Dublin, the 27-year-old fighter managed to “break up” a fight between two blokes who were trying to impersonate him. The two guys were staging a mock fight and impersonating Conor McGregor on the street and got startled when their Christmas party shenanigans were interrupted by none other than McGregor himself. Mark and Patrick, employees at Human Centred Movement, a fledgling Dublin startup that teaches people how to achieve pain-free mobility through movement, were shouting an often-quoted McGregor phrase, “You’ll do nothing,” as they pretended to fight on the evening on December 23. Dublin native McGregor then rolled up in his black Cadillac Escalade with a friend and stopped near where the two friends were mock-fighting. Hearing his famous shout, he called them from the inside of the car to the surprise and delight of Mark and Patrick, who fist-bumped with the UFC icon. Mark, seeing McGregor as a shining example of what their business promotes, said they “were only chuffed to get to meet one of their idols.” Viewers of the clip are still convinced that the entire meet was just an elaborate PR set up, but Dublin locals claim that the location is on a route that leads to McGregor’s home, so he often passes this street, which is also where all the nightclubs in Dublin are.

Pilot Shows Amazing Maneuvering Skills As He Lands Plane Avoiding Accident1m31s

Pilot Shows Amazing Maneuvering Skills As He Lands Plane Avoiding Accident

High winds test pilots' skills and sometimes obliges pilots to land in extreme weather conditions that often sways planes and frightens passengers. Some landing and take-off highlights in awkward wind conditions often note frequent flexing of the planes' wings in response to the turbulence. Just twenty meters before landing this Boeing plane came close to a rough landing. The B777 stumbled under the windy weather conditions at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol resulting in a rocky approach to the runway. The plane made a second attempt at the runway ten minutes later and landed safely on the ground. Footage of planes landing in gale force winds, swaying left and right and appearing to approach the runway sideways, are unlikely to fortify the courage of nervous fliers. But what are the risks posed by high winds? The wonky touchdowns shouldn’t alarm anyone. In fact, pilots are trained to perform exactly this type of landing in the event of strong crosswinds. Pilots want to land into the wind and in the center of the runway. If there's a tricky cross wind, they will approach with the nose of the plane facing the wind. Just as the pilot performs the “flare”, he or she will bring the plane’s nose in line with the runway. It this maneuver is performed too early, the plane won’t land in the center of the runway, or on the runway at all. If the pilot isn’t happy with their first effort, he or she will abort the landing, and try again. In what is known as a “baulked landing”, the plane might even touch the runway. Pilots always have a plan B in mind if the intended approach is not safe or if the airport closes because of high winds. Updates on wind and weather conditions are communicated to crew throughout a journey to help with decision making. Credit: Schipholhotspot via Storyful

Watching the World's Largest Plane Take Off Is Incredible

In November 2016, Gerd Valdeig visited Leipzig/Halle Airport in Germany to film the Antonov An-225 Mriya, otherwise known as the world’s largest airplane, taking off. Despite the freezing temperatures and the near-24 hour delay in departure time, huge crowds gathered to watch this fascinating moment. The Antonov An-225 Mriya (dream or inspiration) is a strategic airlift cargo aircraft that was designed by the Antonov Design Bureau in the Ukrainian SSR within the Soviet Union during the 1980s. It is powered by six turbofan engines and is the longest and heaviest airplane ever built, with a maximum takeoff weight of 710 tons. It also has the largest wingspan of any aircraft in operational service. The single example built has the Ukrainian civil registration UR-82060. A second airframe with a slightly different configuration was partially built. Its construction was halted in 1994 because of lack of funding and interest, but revived briefly in 2009, bringing it to 60%-70% completion. The first and only An-225 was completed in 1988. After successfully fulfilling its Soviet military missions, it was mothballed for eight years. It was then refurbished and re-introduced, and is in commercial operation with Antonov Airlines carrying oversized payloads. The airlifter holds the absolute world records for an airlifted single-item payload of 418,830 pounds, and an airlifted total payload of 559,580 lb. It has also transported a payload of 545,000 lb on a commercial flight.

Truck Falls Through Frozen Ice On Lake Winnipeg

Driving over a frozen lake can be an interesting experience, though it’s only possible in some northern parts. Lake Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada, is used as a road to travel from one point to another. However, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police usually warns people to stay off the ice in this area, as a rapid current running under the frozen water makes it unsafe for crossing. In mid-March it’s suggested that only ice farther north would be suitable to drive on. Unfortunately, Ms Ko'ona Cochrane and her husband decided not to listen to the officials, so they took their tour over the frozen lake. As the clip starts, Ms Cochrane can be heard joking about how they are going to cross the lake. This woman admires the winter beauty this place has to offer. She ominously says, “Oh it looks frightening”. Before even being able to ask her companion why is he slowing down, the ice gives way and the truck plunges into the waters below. The camera films something unclear, but Ms. Cochrane can be heard screaming, while her husband yells, “bail, bail.” As Global News reported, the two luckily were uninjured and refused emergency medical services. News media reported the truck was not salvageable and is currently submerged under the ice. Next time you try to fool around and take your life under risk, have in mind that there might be a good reason why authorities tell you not to do something. It’s for your own good.

Mommy Sings A Song, And Her Baby Is Melting At The Sound Of Her Voice

What a priceless video. Nothing is stronger than the bond between mother and child. This certainly rings true at the Leroux household in Ontario, Canada. Their daughter, Mary-Lynne Leroux, loves one of her mom's songs so much, it send her into floods of tears, every time she hears it. Mother Amanda told Storyful:“No one can explain why, not even I. I can sing any other song and do not get the same reaction from her. It’s too adorable to keep all to ourselves.” This little girl must feel a really special connection with this song, who knows why this is the most emotional song for her. All we know is that this baby girl is so adorable. You can't take your eyes off of her and her mothers singing is just so beautiful! We wonder if this little girl will continue to find this emotional as she continues to get older. Only time will tell! The love from a mother is so special and you can tell this mother loves her little girl very much, family is so important. And it's probably just a natural reflex, but babies do have a way of letting their moms know that they enjoy the sound of their voice. You can't help but say "awwww, how cute" at the baby's reaction, because it truly shows the unique bond that children share with their mothers, even if they're too young to remember.

Oxotic is a Colorado-based business which offers rental “supercars” to brave customers. When one customer scheduled a surprise tour for his girlfriend’s birthday in a Ferrari worth $300,000, his overconfidence proved to be his undoing. Things do not go his way and he takes the sharp turns of the road with way too much speed, ultimately causing this incident. Fortunately, his insurance company ended up paying the entire amount of the vehicle’s replacement value. That would have been one expensive fix if he had to pay for it all himself. Then again maybe he should have payed it so he can learn his lesson. We hope that he still learned his lesson after this frightening incident. What made this clip even more worse was the fact that he was intentionally driving fast around those corners because of his overconfidence. It is OK to be confident when driving as there is some situations where you cannot hesitate, but overconfidence is not a good thing as it can lead to incidents such as this one here. Just be safe and aware when driving. Driving is a privilege and not a right, remember that. Please share this clip with your family and friends to show them the importance of driving safe!

Adorable Moose Family Cause An Alaskan 'Traffic Jam'

Adventure Photographer Laura Lyn caught footage of an adorable moose family causing a “traffic jam” in the Denali National Park and Preserve in Alaska. Laura posted the video to Instagram showing the mother moose and her two calves walking down the center line of a road through the Park. Speaking to Storyful about the family, Laura explained: “These moose calves were a little less than a week old following mom. In the springtime, the moose drop their calves and only about 10% of these calves make it to be an adult in Denali National Park”. Laura is currently completing her project 100 days in Denali National Park in celebration of the parks centennial anniversary. The Alaska moose, also known as giant moose or Alaskan moose, is a subspecies of moose that ranges from Alaska to western Yukon. The Alaska moose is the largest North American subspecies of moose. Alaska moose inhabit boreal forests and mixed deciduous forests throughout most of Alaska and most of Western Yukon. Like all moose species, the Alaska moose is usually solitary but sometimes will form small herds. Typically, they only come into contact with other moose for mating or competition for mates. During mating season, in autumn and winter, male Alaska moose become very aggressive and prone to attacking when startled. Credit: lauralynphotography via Storyful

Humpback Whale Seen Jumping Clear Out Of The Water2m53s

Humpback Whale Seen Jumping Clear Out Of The Water

Check out these whales as they are obviously having a whale of a time (pun intended). Scuba diver Craig Capehart and three of his scuba diving fellows were hunting for sardines along the coast of Pondoland, South Africa, on July 8 when they saw a large humpback whale breaching several times before it jumped completely out of the water. The whale, estimated at around 40 tons, can be seen seen breaching clear out of the waters south of Mbotyi in Southeastern Africa. Craig shared this video on his YouTube and it has been climbing the viral ladder ever since. The footage contains dozens of instances when a school of whales was breaching the ocean. There are even some cheerful moments, like a mother and her calf swimming by Craig’s inflatable motorboat, or one adult whale swimming on his back and slapping his fins of the surface. The breaching out of the water completely is common among dolphins and even great white sharks, but this was the first time that Craig has seen a humpback whale do it; he described what he saw as “a very rare event indeed.” Scientists are still uncertain as to the reason behind whales breaching. It could be a mating call, if a female is close by, or as a means to intimidate others from invading his territory. Credit: Craig Capehart via Storyful

Pilot Shows Incredible Maneuvering Skills As He Lands A Boeing In Challenging Conditions

Landing a plane is one of the most critical phases of a flight and that’s why it’s the second thing pilots learn during their training after basic flight controls and recovery techniques. There is no such thing as "perfect" landing, but a good safe landing is something we are used to see in most of the cases. However, some people think that it’s at least 99% luck. As planes glide on air currents and since this currents are not always a smooth mass, turbulence makes the plane sway, even if it’s so close to the ground. That is why pilots receive detailed training about landing procedures and use their skills to perform the safe landing. High winds may be inconvenient, but they are not dangerous, even when they come across the runway. From time to time, pretty fierce crosswinds appear on the Manchester Airport which is known for its windy weather, that makes it difficult for pilots to land their "flying machines". When weather reports state that winds have reached 50 miles per hour, it means that landing of course is pretty tricky. As we can see in this video, the Virgin Atlantic plane is not landing according to its regular procedure. Instead of landing horizontally, the pilot of the Boeing-747 lands vertically, which is known as crosswind landing, trying to calm the aircraft and touch the ground on all his wheels. Luckily this landing ended up good for everybody. As soon as the plane touched the runway, everyone was relieved. Next time you wonder why people clap when the plane touches ground safely, remember this video!

Mama Python Protects Her Eggs From Keeper1m09s

Mama Python Protects Her Eggs From Keeper

In an Instagram video posted on September 15, a snake keeper proved why stealing snake eggs requires expertise. Jay Brewer is the founder of Prehistoric Pets, a store specializing in snakes, lizards and other reptiles. For healthy breeding purposes, Brewer moves the snake eggs away from the mother and into a separate crate, but when he tried to do this with one of the larger snakes, she tried to attack him. The reason why the experts at Prehistoric Pets remove the clutches of eggs from under the mothers is because of breeding purposes. In the wild, perfect eggs don’t always mean that they will all hatch, because they need constant temperatures and humidity in order to hatch perfect, healthy baby snakes. Those conditions are maintained artificially in incubators, but those eggs need to get there somewhere and these reptilian mothers have no idea they are in captivity; they still think they are in the wild, where their eggs would be stolen for food, instead of preserving their species. This particular female has a long strike range, meaning that she won’t hesitate to stretch nice and long to protect her babies. So Jay uses a hook to gently nudge her head away and reach that clutch of eggs from underneath her. It is her first clutch and she is already an excellent mother. Check out the full video of Jay relocating the eggs and the mom defending them. Educational and entertaining!

Dachshund Puppy Demands Attention By Throwing The Cutest Tantrum45s

Dachshund Puppy Demands Attention By Throwing The Cutest Tantrum

Sometimes it’s tough being a cute puppy. You have your wants and needs, but you are tiny and don't know your human's language. Still, it’s important to let your owner know how you feel. Watch as this adorable three-month-old Dachshund named Napoleon as he decides to throw a tantrum, because he was not happy that he's allowed on his owner’s lap. So what if she is driving? Sitting next to her in the car, he makes several attempts to jump in her lap and fails to do so. Looking at her with those adorable puppy eyes and crying his heart out, he is unable to reach her heart and win her approval. His owner is resilient to his pleas, even shuns his cries, saying "You are so bad." It seems that giving someone the wide puppy eyes when you have a demand doesn’t always work. Napoleon may not have gotten his heart’s desire, but that made him even more endearing! How can you say no to that face? How can you not melt when those eyes look at you so longingly? And that mouth, barely moving but producing such a sad, sad sound… Give him to us! Dachshunds are known as loyal and lively dogs, but they crave attention and are among the most popular breeds in the world. These adorable pups are described as clever, lively, and courageous to the point of rashness. They have been bred for perseverance, which is just a nice way of saying that they can be very stubborn. Napoleon seems to be the perfect specimen of his breed, but we can't be angry with him. How can we be with a face like that?

NYPD Officer, Famous for Twerking at Gay Pride Parade, Dies of Cancer

A New York police officer whose dancing exploits at the city’s Gay Pride parade went viral in 2015 has died of cancer. Officer Michael Hance shot to fame after a video showing him dancing at the parade was watched millions of times. The video, posted by Paige Ponzeka in June 2015, shows Hance dancing with one of the participants in the parade. Ponzeka, who was marching with Big Apple Softball League, said one of the others in the group was having some fun dancing near the officer, who was standing along the parade route. The officer ignored him at first, but eventually he started dancing. The officer gets a sticker and a peck on the cheek after his dance. Cities across the United States celebrated Gay Pride Day on June 28, 2015, with rallies and parades. It was just two days after the US Supreme Court ruled in favor of same-sex marriage. It also marked the anniversary of the Stonewall Inn riots in 1969 in New York City, which marked the modern-day gay pride movement. The Stonewall Inn was recently declared a historic landmark and played host to a same-sex marriage performed by Governor Andrew Cuomo on Sunday.
