I finally took my Tamiya DF-03 Avante MK.2 outside for some fun. I'm using this Tamiya DF-03 Avante MK.2 as an on-road version which turns out to be a lot of fun! I took my HSP 94123 RC rally car build out for a spin to see how it performs, on road and off road! It jumps around quite a bit because the shock absorbers are a bit to stiff. Also the front left drive shaft popped out now and then and in the end I lost the front wheel drive! So I have some work to do! But overall its a fun rc car! In a previous video I took my HSP 94111 to the beach for some fun but the ESC kept overheating, so I upgraded it with an 120A ESC and it worked perfectly this time. it's actually quit fast. The HSP 94111 is quit heavy so you definitely need an bigger ESC. I don't know if a 80A or 100A will be sufficient though! I'm sorry for the noise of the wind, vert windy day again. In this video I took my HBX Protector (12815) with a brushless upgrade outside for some fun on a 3S Lipo. I can totally recommend the upgrade. It has enough speed on 3S and it becomes more fun! But... The stress on the spur gear is a lot higher, and it's plastic, so the spur gear wears off quickly!! I'm hoping to find a metal spur gear for the HBX Protector (12815) but.... Out of the box I really do like the HBX Protector (12815)! This is my second HBX and both of them are above expectation! They are reasonable cheap and amazingly strong! So far I only broke the servo arm after I hit a wall. It’s not the fastest car, but it’s also not needed that much I guess. BUT…. I like a bit more power, so I’m upgrading it with an brush-less motor. I’m using an 2845 3930KV Sensor-less Brushless Motor with an 35A ESC. I think this is the maximum motor size that fits. The servo is not a standard size servo, it’s a bit smaller. Therefor i used the Feiyue FY-S3 2.8KG Servo which has metal gears! After driving the ZD Racing Thunder ZMT-10 (10427-S/9106) on the beach, the motor, of course, had some sand in it! In this video I take the 3650 motor apart, clean it and put it together! it's actually quit easy to fix a 3650 brushless motor! But I will close the holes in the motor with some tape! This is part 2 of the ZD Racing Thunder ZMT-10 (10427S/9106) Rebuild. I'm still not sure what the problem is but I kind of think it could be the spur gear! It's a plastic gear and it's a bit damaged.
