My conure loves a head scratch. He doesn't hesitate to let me know when it's not done correctly. When he wants one he come up and puts his head down.

Today I looked out our window to see this cute cottontail digging a burrow for over an hour in our front lawn. The burrow is near the sidewalk. We are now trying to figure how to protect the nest from predators as it’s so open. Any ideas?

I was shocked to see how smart this little conure is. She took one of her tail feathers that had naturally fallen off and turned it into a tool for scratching.

He chooses the limb he wants then snaps it off and climbs home.

My little conure is a fiesta little one. I could not believe she allowed me to do this and she actually wanted more :-)

This is the peaceful Lake Ontario, Toronto.

Robins, chickadees, sparrows, juncos, cardinals and more frequent our feeders and drink from our heated birdbath in winter. Today we even had starlings bathing in the snow and in the bath. We put some branches to prevent birds from bathing when it’s too cold but these went under.

My conure gets excited by the strangest things. Here she is wanting to play with the laundry tub drain.

I had my little conure by the door looking outside when he decided to climb up the mesh door.

This is his third chip. He knows when there is food around and finds it. See how defensive he is over his treats. It's not when I think he has had enough. It's when he is done.

This baby is peeping at Grandma. I dropped her off at Grandma and Grandpa and she was hiding and peepeing at them.

This white swan is at the same spot cleaning itself every morning.
