The man who brought them said he found them on his property and wasn't able to catch the mom. He handed the four furry bundles inside a beer box. Foster mom, Andrea from 2nd Chances Rescue took the scared and shaking pups home with her. The pups were fed, given a warm bed and a safe place to sleep but even with all that, something was missing. At Andrea's home, she also rescued a sulcata tortoise named Goliath. For the most part, Goliath was alone. The other dogs and puppies that went through Andrea's home largely ignored the eighty pound, lumbering giant. One day when Andrea came home to care for the pups, she found one of them missing. She look all over her house and backyard fearing one of them may have gotten out or lost or picked up. What she found instead were the puppies inside his hutch, snuggling with the Goliath. Since that day, the pups and their great big friend have gone everywhere together. The pups were happier knowing they were safe with Goliath - and Goliath? Well, he came out of his shell.

10 Good Samaritans Refuse to Let 300 Homeless Dogs Starve and Freeze to Death

These 10 animal rescuers may have saved hundreds of street dogs but they also inspired villagers, businesses and the municipality to make a difference too. That's what I call true heroes! #adoptdontshop #rescue ✿ Please subscribe to our channel so you don't miss a single PAWsitive story! ➔ http://bit.ly/PAWsitiveSubscribe Full Story: In Ankara, Turkey adoption rates are low. People prefer to buy dogs instead of adopting them. (Çiğdemin Patileri is a Facebook page that posts about street animals in the Çiğdem neighborhood.) The make shift rescue, created by a group of people with a shared passion for animals is only 10 people. But these 10 people take care of 300 dogs and cats on a daily basis. They are feeding them, providing medical attention, sterilization, trying to find homes, even going to schools to educate students about animal rescue and welfare. They are working to make a difference in the community. They are fighting to be heard. And they have been heard. Their work has received attention as local businesses and the municipality have donated their time and efforts in creating shelters for dogs and cats. Locals are taking to helping with feeding the strays too but the group is committed to making sure every last dog in Turkey finds a home. Burcu, one of the rescuers, believes their greatest need is for a clear infrastructure when it comes to strays that just end up on the streets or in the overcrowded shelters. They also more assistance, especially with regards to spaying or neutering in their neighborhood. ✿ Follow PAWsitive on our socials: Subscribe ➔ http://bit.ly/PAWsitiveSubscribe Facebook ➔ http://bit.ly/PawsitiveFacebook Twitter ➔ http://bit.ly/PAWsitiveTwitter Instagram ➔ https://www.instagram.com/pawsitivechannel/ ✿ See how you can help Burcu save more cats like Leo by emailing her here: bh.burcu@gmail.com ✿ Follow Burcu and her rescue Facebook ➔ https://www.facebook.com/CigdeminPatileri/ ✿ Crew http://www.memetics.tv/ ✿ Music Purchased through Premium Beat - https://www.premiumbeat.com/

Everyone Thought This Great Dane Was Neglected, The Truth Will Shock You.3m00s

Everyone Thought This Great Dane Was Neglected, The Truth Will Shock You.

When Darla, a large Great Dane, came to Adoptadane Rescue Queensland, nearly her entire body was bleeding and covered in seemingly open sores. Everyone thought it was neglect, but the truth was even worse. ✿ Support Adoptadane Rescue Queensland ➔ https://www.paypal.me/adoptadanerescue ✿ Please subscribe to our channel so you don't miss a single PAWsitive story! ➔ http://bit.ly/PAWsitiveSubscribe ✿ Follow PAWsitive on our socials: Subscribe ➔ http://bit.ly/PAWsitiveSubscribe Facebook ➔ http://bit.ly/PawsitiveFacebook Twitter ➔ http://bit.ly/PAWsitiveTwitter Instagram ➔ https://www.instagram.com/pawsitivechannel/ ✿ Crew http://www.memetics.tv/ ✿ Music Purchased through Premium Beat - https://www.premiumbeat.com/ "Prelude No.6" by Chris Zabriskie Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License The song was not modified in any way. Full Story: Darla was only 2yrs old when she was brought to Adoptadane Rescue Queensland. She was suffering from a common, highly treatable skin condition called demodectic mange, which had covered a large percentage of her body. In what looked like a severe case of neglect, was actually unfounded. Darla's previous owners loved her very much, this was not a case of neglect, more misdiagnoses from the vets she had attended. In fact, Darla's family had gone to multiple vets for a second opinion. Unable to get the right diagnosis and treatment, Darla's health worsened. Eventually, veterinarians told her family that she would need to be "put down." Loving her too much, they reached out to Adoptadane for help. Feeling responsible and guilty for her condition, they relinquished her to the rescue asking them to save her. They did. For 6 months, Darla went without proper treatment, her health deteriorating. Within 2 months of treatment of salves, baths, medications, Darla had fully recovered and was adoptable. In fact, soon after she was deemed healthy, she was adopted by Terri who loved her until Darla's recent passing in late 2016.
