The epic snake mongoose fight in the middle of the road regales people stranded in traffic jam
A nail-biting fight between a snake and a mongoose in the middle of a busy road brought traffic to a halt in Alam Muradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India, on Sunday.
In this minute-long the snake seems to be playing defensive, while the mongoose could be seen chasing the reptile chasing down the street.
Though the famous snake-mongoose fight brought the traffic on Agra-Aligarh road to stop, the stranded motorists seemed little perturbed by the delay.
They seem to be enjoying every bit of it. Every time the mongoose pounced on the snake, the crowd cheered.
Intimidated and humiliated, the snake did put up a great fight. After scoring a few brawny points over the reptile by giving it several wounds, the mongoose left the ring.
But the snake seemed to be seeking a rematch. It sat pretty in the middle of the road hissing every now and then.
After a long wait when the mongoose didn't turn up, people intervened and chased the snake into the bushes by the road.

India's magnet man can now stick 10kg iron on his skin
India's magnet man is becoming more attractive by the day! Earlier, he could attract spoons and nails, but now iron press weighing 5.5kg each clings onto Arun Raikar's body effortlessly.
On Thursday, the 50-year-old man demonstrated his magnetic skills in front of a crowd. He walked around in a field with two heavy iron press stuck to his chest. Intrigued by his feat, now authorities at the Limca Book of Records, the Indian version of Guiness Book of World Record, have asked Raikar to submit video footages of the event to consider his case.
Women might not find this balding man magnetic enough, but his attraction is so much among spoons, nails and small iron articles that whenever he passes by they cling onto his body.
Interesting Raikar holds the "magnetic powers" particular sections of his body -- chest, stomach and back.
Raikar discovered his mangentic properties some five months ago. Little kids were playing around and one of them flung a spoon that clung onto the electrician's back.
Initially, Raikar wrote it off saying "the spoon might have stuck on me because of sweat." But when his family members got curious and stuck more spoons on him, the spoons would just cling onto his body.
Sensing trouble, the Raikars consulted doctors to figure out why such bazarre thing was happneing to him. None of them had a concrete answer for the strange condition.
With days passing by, it seems the "magnetic field" in Raikar's body is become stronger. Now, manual iron press have started stick to his body. When he confided this in family members and friends, they dubbed that he had developed some mental problem. To allay their fear, the man was taken to a doctor. "I have done a through check on him. There is no problem with his mental health. He is completely fine," said Dr O.P. Choubey.
"Earlier, I thought it was a curse of the god. But now I know it a gift of the almighty," said Raikar, who hopes to make it to Limca Book of Records soon.

Python bites off more than it can chew, goat horn gets stuck puts life at risk
A python was seen battling for its life after the horn of the goat it had swallowed in entirety started piercing into its stomach.
For hours the slithering beast struggled to digest its prey, but when the pain (due to piercing by the goat's horn) increased further, the python had no option but to spit it out.
In the process, however, the python suffered injuries in the inner walls of its stomach and in its mouth. Later, it was rescued by forest official.
The incident happened around 3pm on Monday when a shepard was herding his cattle in Gothda Mohabatabad of Faridabad, he found one of his cattle was missing.
"When he started searching for the goat, the shepard saw a python had swallowed half of the goat's body,” said Deepak Bhadana, a village council member.
Despite the goat's horn piercing the inner walls of its stomach, the python continued trying to swallow the animal in entirety.
Shellshocked by the sight, the Shepard ran into the village to inform the fellow villagers who eventually intimated the forest department officials.
When the shepard returned with others, he saw the python was struggling to spit out the carcass of the goat but its horn remained stuck in the python's mouth.
After a lot of efforts from villagers and forest officials, the python finally managed to vomit out the goat.
“After 4 hour's of effort, we rescued the python and released deep in the forest of the Aravali hills the same night,” said wildlife inspector Delchan Sagar.

Lions paid visit to Indian town twice in a week, causing panic among people
A week after a pride of eight lions were spotted taking a stroll along the highway passing through an Indian town, another pride of lions was spotted roaming the stretch of the highway at Bhavnath in Junagadh district of western Indian state of Gujarat.
During the day, a lone lions was filmed roaming around, but at night a pride of four lions were spotted at the same stretch of the highway at Bhavnath.
The recurring spottings of lions in the town has caused panic among the people living in and around Junagarh area.
The pride of lions spotted last week included two cubs was spotted roaming around near a residential area of Junagadh town, some 300 km from Ahmedabad.
In a separate incident, a man was severely injured when three lions attacked him in the Amreli in the Gir region known for its Asiatic lion population the same day.
Forests officials said the man was attacked while he was grazing goats near his village.
Three persons were killed in attacks by lions in the same area between March and May this year. A woman was also killed in the Gir Somnath district.
IS THE CELEBRATED MAN-LION CO-EXISTENCE IN INDIA'S GIR FOREST GOING TO END SOON?
The villages around Gir forest have long lived with the big cat. However, while in 23 years, there have been 18 fatal lion attacks here, six have been reported in five months of 2016 alone.
While Jayraj (14) was killed on May 20, Labhu Solanki (60) was attacked on April 10. The death of Zeena Makwana (54), killed in Ambardi on March 19, has worried experts, as reports indicate he had been eaten by the lions, which is extremely rare. Following the incidents, for the first time in Gir’s history, a pride of lions, including 13 members, was caged. A number of labourers have fled the farms surrounding Gir. Former state agriculture minister and senior BJP leader Dilip Sanghani, a native of Amreli, has written to the state forest minister demanding that farmers be allowed to shoot lions and leopards in self-defence.
As the lion population increases over the year, more such attacks are bound to happen. Now, even Maldharis, a community that lives inside the forest with their cattle, are scared about the change of behaviors of lions. These people have been living in palm leave-made huts and raising cattle in the core area of the jungle for centuries. But there has rarely any occasion when the lions have attacked them.
