Woo Hoo.... Fall has fallen into Florida!!! We woke up to a temperature of 59 F / 15 C. We are all thrilled with the cooler temperatures & decided to cuddle up together before getting our day started. Though she does sleep on the bed at night (and strolls across the headboard much to Dad's chagrin ) Ally Cat wasn't in the bedroom for this morning's photo. Watch & laugh as Maddie & Jack & Allie & cuddle up at the end of the bed together, while Ellie who is channeling her inner Uncle Radar is quite happy with the cooler weather cuddled up in the jumbo bed cuddled up under the housecoat.

Ellie & Mikey the Great Danes love their Halloween costumes. Watch as laugh as Beauty aka Ellie & The Beautiful Beast aka Mikey have a great time running & wrestling in their costumes....which surprisingly mostly stay on with minimal wardrobe malfunctions. I think Maddie & Ellie will have a remake of beauty & the beast for this Halloween season.

We are all fans of Culver's burgers & fries & Mom thought a corn dog might be a fun experience for Maddie & Ellie. Ellie had no interest in a corn covered hotdog on a stick, but Maddie thought is was rather interesting & took a few polite bites & then the Corn Dog Cam captured Maddie's big shock as to everyone's surprise the corn dog slide off the stick & right into Maddie's mouth!

Maddie and Ellie the Great Danes love going out for lunch! Watch & laugh as Maddie checks out the line at the Burger King drive thru window before Maddie & Ellie enjoy a cup & cone of vanilla ice cream. Ellie is definitely an ice cream girl, which is ok by Maddie as she scores two junior cheeseburgers!

Funny Maddie the Great Dane loves her toys & loves to play upside down. Watch & laugh as Maddie engages in a hilarious game of twister with Mr Octupus, who is now a quadropus on his way to becoming a tripus. Maddie's funny paw moves & facial expressions will make you laugh.

Maddie and Ellie the Great Danes are glad that the wicked weather that included two tornado warnings, is back to Florida sunshine. Unfortunately one umbrella was a victim of the wind gusts. Thankfully, it flew away from the screened lanai, rather than into it. Watch & laugh as Maddie literally points out the that there is a problem with the umbrella as she stands on top of it. Ellie is more interested in enjoying a rain water drink from the table top.

Maddie the Weather Dane & Mom have been doing a lot of weather watching after two separate tornado warnings in the last 12 hours! Thankfully we rarely see tornados in Florida. Our big weather comes in the form of Hurricanes which have days of notice. Only 10 minutes notice with the Emergency Alert warning blaring from the phone is rather scary. Mom & Maddie decided to check out the wind & rain & both scurried back under cover after a big thunder boomer. Thankfully the storm passed through with no big wind, though sadly there were a few tornado touch downs south of us near Clearwater.

Ellie the Great Dane loves to relax on her back. Watch & laugh as funny Ellie smiles at Mom, yawns & hides her face with her paws while Maddie stretches out on the loveseat. Such happy relaxed girls.

Maddie & Ellie the Great Danes love holiday dinners. Watch & laugh as a Maddie & Ellie enjoy a taste of Turkey as they celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving aka Thanksgiving 1.0. Maddie & Ellie love turkey & gravy. Sadly, full size fresh turkeys aren't easily available in October in Florida, so Mom opted for a turkey breast & tried a new acorn squash recipe, stuffing the squash with chopped pears, apples & maple syrup.

Like all Floridians, Maddie & Ellie are loving the cooler fall temperatures. Watch & enjoy as Maddie & Ellie relax before a fall chicken pot pie & corn on the cob dinner as Mom checks out the wonderful weather that allows for the pocket doors to be open to bring the outside inside from the screened lanai. We are are loving our Florida open door temperatures.

Ellie the Great Dane is a great big sister who loves to pass on her knowledge to 4 month old baby Mikey. Watch & laugh as Ellie teaches Mikey how to open the Amazon box & then remove the spider costume from the package. Funny Ellie takes off running & claims the costume for her own with Mikey in hot pursuit.

Maddie & Ellie the Great Danes are honourary Canadians, especially on holidays that involve food & of course, hats. Watch & laugh as Maddie & Ellie pose so nicely in their turkey hats; Ellie for the duration of the video & Maddie for 7.2 seconds, before deciding that she wanted to forget about the hat & check out the decorator pear that Mom was holding. Mom had a blonde moment, forgetting that usually when she picks something up off a bowl on the table, it ends up in Maddie's mouth. Ellie happily watched Maddie's Kangaroo bouncing as she & Mom negotiated ownership of the pear. Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends & family!

Maddie & Ellie the Great Dane love their toys & love to toss them around as a warm up for Squirrel Patrolling. Watch & laugh as Maddie has great fun tossing Mr Gorilla as a warm up before bouncing in anticipation to go check for Mr Squirrel. Ellie is quite happy to take Mr Quardrapus...formerly Mr Octopus outside to play. Safety First Mom always bangs of the lanai frame to give Mr Squirrel advance warning of Release The Hounds!

Chef Maddie is always checking out new foodie ideas. Watch & laugh as Maddie & Ellie give two paws up to the new Kranch Dip described by Taylor Swift as "Ketchup & Seemingly Ranch". Maddie & Ellie find the dip is seemingly delicious on both burgers & fries.

Two year old Maddie the Great Dane still has a rather short attention span. Watch & laugh as Mom's attempt to capture a photo Fraulein Maddie posing in the Oktoberfest costume is doomed for failure as Maddie decides she would rather carry the braids & then spies the lawn guy & decides to race him up & down the fence line. Mom is convinced the lawn guy thinks she is a Crazy Dane Lady...lol

Jack the Cat has never met a little person, but curiosity got the better of Jack when Grandson Will was over for another playdate with Grandpa . Watch & laugh as Jack leads Grandpa & Will on a tour of the undersides of the tables. Jack is rather shocked when Will discovers he can crawl under the coffee table. Jack isn't used to some one following him under. His Great Dane siblings are too tall to crawl.

Maddie the Great Dane takes her lifeguarding job very seriously. Watch & enjoy as Maddie is very concerned about safety first with Grandpa & Wee Will in the pool & jumps in to check out that Will's float coat will keep him safe in the water as he enjoys his first float in the pool. Maddie learned to swim wearing her own float coat with swimming lessons at Scooby School.

Two year old Ellie & 4 month old Mikey loved playing in the Halloween costumes. Watch & laugh as Mikey tries to remove the arm from Patient Ellie's costume & then decides his hat is easier to remove & turn into a toy.

Lederhosen clad Maddie the Great Dane, apparently thought that sister Ellie had the premier Oktoberfest outfit with her Dirndl & braids. Watch & laugh as Maddie takes off with Ellie's dress, which Ellie didn't seem to really mind, but Ellie is rather fond of her hat & braids & didn't want the hat to get swiped in a Maddie Mugging.

Maddie the Great Dane isn't too sure about the new guy in the cage. Watch & laugh as Maddie has a chat with the very opinionated & animated talking crow!

Maddie loves running zoomies outside but when Maddie starts indoor zoomie laps, Maddie & Mom know to stay well out of the way. Watch & laugh was after a few warm up laps, Maddie demands to go outside to check out Mr Squirrel, slurp up some pool water & chat with the neighbor dog. Ellie with her beautiful heart shaped ears, cautiously joins Maddie outside after Tornado Maddie blows through.

Maddie and Ellie the Great Danes look so fetching in their traditional dirndl & lederhosen outfits as they welcome Oktoberfest....Ok Technically Oktoberfest celebrations are mid October, but for Mom...October first ...Oktoberfest...both are a great reason so celebrate with costumes. Watch & laugh as Ellie patiently & Maddie a little less patiently ( it is still early in costume season - Maddie will learn to go with it) pose for Prost! to Oktoberfest. Given that Great Danes (Deutsche Dogge ) are originally from Germany, not Denmark, Oktoberfest is in the girl's heritage.

Chef Maddie the Great Dane loves to sit like the people do awaiting a taste test of Mom's lovely steak dinner. Watch & laugh as Maddie is really into sampling the steak, but isn't so big on the breadsticks. Seriously Mom? Steak vs breadsticks?

Maddie the Great Dane loves water & water is so much more fun when it is spraying out of a hose. Watch & laugh as Maddie "helps" Mom water the new Mum plants. There is more watering of Maddie than the plants before Maddie gets a water fueled case of the zoomies & runs around Ellie who is quite happy to stand back & stay dry.

Maddie & Ellie the Great Danes are always interested in Mom's decorating projects. Watch & laugh as Maddie "helps" to spread out the drop cloth for the repainting of the almost Great Dane size planter urns, checks out the before & after paint color & then is very interesting in helping to water the new Mum plants.
