Eric’s grandfather served in the 7th Army during World War II and saw major combat as an infantryman. After the war, he returned to Missouri to start a small butcher shop, where Eric’s father would later work. His father worked through night school to provide for his family while earning a diploma. On November 8, 2022, the citizens of Missouri elected Eric Schmitt as the state’s next United States Senator. Since 2019, Eric has served as Missouri’s 43rd Attorney General.
Eric also led the fight to secure the border and make America energy independent. Working with a broad coalition of attorneys general, Eric ensured successful border policies were continued while fighting for domestic energy exploration to lower the price at the gas pump.
Eric attended DeSmet Jesuit High School and went on to graduate cum laude from Truman State University, where he founded a Habitat for Humanity chapter. After graduation, he attended law school at Saint Louis University, where he received his J.D. and served as an editor of the Law Review.

Drew Wrigley is a fourth generation North Dakotan with family roots in Walsh County and Burke County, where Wrigley Brothers Farm still thrives. Wrigley was born in Bismarck and grew up in Fargo. After graduating from Fargo South High School in 1984, Wrigley attended the University of North Dakota, graduating in 1988 with honors in economics and philosophy. He graduated from the American University, Washington College of Law, in 1991, followed by a year-long judicial clerkship in Delaware. Wrigley then worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office, prosecuting every variety of crime in one of our nation’s most violent cities.
Wrigley and his wife Kathleen married in 1998 and moved home to North Dakota. In 2001, Wrigley was nominated by President George W. Bush and confirmed by the United States Senate as North Dakota’s 17th United States Attorney. Wrigley led his office’s successful efforts to combat violent crime, large-scale narcotics trafficking, illegal immigration, financial fraud and ground-breaking investigations focused on Internet crimes against children. Under Wrigley’s leadership, the office’s Civil Division worked diligently to promote and protect legal and contractual interests of the United States, while battling to ensure the protection of civil rights and the promise of landmark legal protections such as the Americans with Disabilities Act. Even while serving as United States Attorney, Wrigley personally tried several noteworthy cases, including North Dakota’s first federal Internet child-luring case, and the successful death penalty prosecution of Alfonso Rodriguez, Jr., who kidnapped, assaulted, and viciously murdered University of North Dakota student Dru Sjodin. That was North Dakota’s first and only federal death penalty case, for which Wrigley served as lead trial and appellate counsel. From 2004 to 2009, Wrigley was appointed by three successive Attorney Generals of the United States to serve on the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee, a select group of United States Attorneys tasked with advising the Attorney General of the United States and other Department of Justice leaders.
After stepping down as United States Attorney in 2009, Wrigley served as vice-president of a national Medicare and Medicaid contractor based in Fargo. He subsequently served as North Dakota’s 37th Lieutenant Governor, from December 2010 through December 2016. Wrigley served as the President of the State Senate, chaired the State Investment Board and its oversight of then-$11 billion in pension and other state assets, chaired the state’s International Trade Office Board, chaired the Governor’s Cybersecurity Task Force, and led the economic development efforts and oversight authority for North Dakota’s FAA-sanctioned unmanned flight systems testing facility. In 2016, Wrigley and Governor Jack Dalrymple chose to not seek re-election, and in early 2017 Wrigley once again returned to the private sector, serving in a senior advisory role for a regional healthcare, insurance, research and philanthropy enterprise, Sanford Health. In 2019, Wrigley was nominated by President Donald J. Trump and confirmed by the United States Senate as North Dakota’s 19th United States Attorney, becoming the first North Dakotan to twice serve as our state’s chief federal law enforcement officer. Wrigley stepped down in February of 2021 and worked as counsel with his family’s industrial/mechanical/commercial contracting firms, Wrigley Mechanical, Inc. and BDT Mechanical LLC, both located in Fargo. Wrigley maintains an ownership interest in both companies.
Drew and Kathleen Wrigley live in Bismarck and have three children, Quinn (college junior), Patrick (college freshman), and Harper (middle school student.) Kathleen is a school guidance counselor at Shiloh Christian School, in Bismarck. The Wrigley family attends Grace Point Church in Bismarck and Olivet Lutheran Church in Fargo. The Wrigley’s have served on a variety of charitable boards and committees across the years.

Daniel Cameron, Kentucky Attorney General, joins Liberty & Justice episode 43
Daniel Cameron, Kentucky Attorney General, joins Liberty & Justice episode 43. Matt and Daniel discuss the rule of law, the Kentucky Governor race in 2023 and life on the campaign trail. Learn more about AG Cameron at https://cameronforkentucky.com/
Watch every episode of Liberty & Justice at www.whitaker.tv
Daniel Cameron serves as the 51st Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Kentucky after winning nearly 58 percent of the vote and 113 of 120 counties. Daniel is the first African American elected to a standalone statewide office in Kentucky’s history. He is the first Republican to hold the office of Attorney General since 1948.
Daniel grew up in Elizabethtown. His parents owned a coffee shop, and Daniel was active in youth sports and his local church. He graduated from John Hardin High School, and he attended the University of Louisville, where he played football for the Cardinals – though Daniel likes to remind everyone that he had the best seat in the house, which was on the bench.
After graduating from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, he clerked for a federal judge. A few years after clerking, Daniel served in Washington, D.C. as legal counsel to United States Senator Mitch McConnell. There, he helped with the confirmation processes for President Trump’s conservative federal judges, including Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch.
As Attorney General, Daniel is committed to defending the laws of the Commonwealth and protecting all Kentuckians. To address Kentucky’s drug epidemic, Daniel helped secure legislation that ensures Kentucky receives the maximum amount of money available to it as part of the national settlement with opioid manufacturers and distributors.
Daniel is an advocate for the unborn and continues to defend Kentucky’s pro-life laws in court. He also led the effort to keep churches and houses of worship open during the pandemic. And he has vigorously opposed and won challenges to the Biden Administration’s unconstitutional vaccine mandates for private businesses.
As Governor, Daniel will fight hard to support law enforcement. A Cameron Administration means that victims – not criminals – get our priority. Daniel was honored to be endorsed during his 2019 campaign for Attorney General by the Kentucky Fraternal Order of Police.
Daniel and his wife, Makenze, live in the Louisville area. They welcomed their first child, Theodore, into the world a few months ago, and he has been a wonderful gift from God. The Camerons believe that Kentucky can be the best place in America to live, work, worship, and raise a family.
