How to Freeze Okra
I like to freeze okra because my favorite way of eating okra is breaded in cornmeal and fried. Many foods need to be blanched before freezing including okra.
Blanching before freezing to preserve its freshness and nutrition. Here's why blanching is important and how to do it to freeze okra.

Tropical Carrot Cake
A delicious reimagining of carrot cake featuring crushed pineapple, shredded coconut, and macadamia nuts, frosted with cream cheese frosting.
A couple of notes: I have to use 4 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla in the video because my son took my teaspoon to use at work and I didn't know it. So the recipe calls for 2 teaspoons of vanilla, not four.
Also, I don't keep buttermilk on hand. I make buttermilk by adding a splash of white vinegar to regular milk and letting it sit for a few minutes. No need to go to the store just for buttermilk.

Pink Champagne Syrup
What a unique and delicious way to use up leftover champagne or wine!
I got this idea when I had vanilla ice cream topped with a wine syrup at a steakhouse. It was wonderful! So when I had some leftover pink champagne, I decided to make a syrup and try it on ice cream.
Again - WONDERFUL. And so pretty garnished with dried rose petals (of course, the rose petals are for decoration only).
I'm going to have to try this syrup on white chocolate raspberry ice cream...

Perfect Prime Rib
Prime Rib is actually very simple to make!
The key is getting a good sear on the roast and sealing in all the juices and flavor before slowly roasting to medium rare.
I love Traeger's Prime Rib Rub mixed with ghee and rubbed all over the roast the night before.
