This is the story of an 90-year old lady that is closing in on her 100th year of life, but she has the spirit of a teenager. You don’t need your age to define you, and that is the best lesson she is giving the world. A 90 year-old women started skating at a very young age but as she got older she decided to slow down. However she is now back on the ice and making a comeback. And now she is very famous after she started skating due to the fact that such thing has not been seen before. We guess it’s never too late to get back on the horse. This lady is 90 years young and she still has an immense amount of spring in her step. She’s a pro ice skater and her moves will take your breath away! Her name is Yvonne and she has an elegant style of skating that combines her passion for classical music and dance. Her moves are smooth, effortless and beautiful and she has the ability to wow any crowd. Yvonne Dowlen learned to skate when her parents took her to Evergreen as a little girl. She fell in love with the sport and followed her dream to ultimately become an international performer in the Ice Capades in the 1930s. Never officially retiring, she was a longtime <a href="https://rumble.com/viral/v1234412-3-year-old-figure-skater-russia.html" target="_blank">figure skating</a> teacher in Denver, and was still skating five times a week at the age of 90. A couple of Boulder-based filmmakers were fascinated by her story, and decided to follow her on her journey to become the world’s oldest competing <a href="https://rumble.com/v4boh6-ice-skater-performs-emotional-performance-of-hallelujah.html" target="_blank">ice skater</a> in their 9-minute documentary “Edges.” Figure skating is a sport in which individuals, duos, or groups perform on figure skates on ice. It was the first winter sport included in the Olympics, in 1908. The four Olympic disciplines are men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating and ice dancing. Non-Olympic disciplines include synchronized skating and four skating. From novice through senior-level competition, skaters generally perform two programs (short and long) which, depending on the discipline, may include spins, jumps, moves in the field, lifts, throw jumps, death spirals and other elements or moves. The sport is also associated with show business. Major competitions generally conclude with exhibition galas, in which the top skaters from each discipline perform non-competitive programs. Many skaters, both during and after their competitive careers, also skate in ice shows which run during the competitive season and the off-season. What do you think about this video?
