Michigan nature very young and up close! It's spring and eggs are hatching. Newly hatched Robin is barely out of its egg. Now that it can stretch, it's trying to find a comfortable position in all this t flopping around. So cute. Eyes still closed. It was rescued after being found on ground starting to hatch. No nest could be located to return it. My children took care of it overnight and took to a Wildlife Rehab Center (bird rescue) the next morning.

The Lowell Showboat began in 1932 & hosted acts like Louis Armstrong, Bob Newhart, Milton Berle, Pearl Bailey and Dinah Shore. Future President Gerald R. Ford visited many times as a Congressman and Vice-President. It's held graduations, weddings, and Santa visits for decades. Due to rotting, it was no longer safe and had to be demolished. The city is working on building a replacement.
