Turning Down The Heatwaves
In this "Fact Check" video from the Climate Discussion Nexus, Dr. John Robson rebuts claims that heat waves are getting more frequent or more severe due to climate change... or even that climate models predict that they will, with particular emphasis on the Pacific northwest of North America heat wave in 2021.

Nothing To Sea Here Folks
In this "Fact Check" video from the Climate Discussion Nexus, Dr. John Robson expands on our Sea Level Check series to rebut claims of dangerous, accelerating, man-made sea level rise by examining the actual history and current state of melting land ice, changes in the land and other complex factors that contribute to this non-crisis.

Eco-Colonialism: The Green Man's Burden
When comfortable people in rich countries with abundant energy tell hungry people in poor countries they must do without electricity to save the planet, it's just a new and even more arrogant form of colonialism. In this Climate Discussion Nexus "Backgrounder" video John Robson analyses the real-world damage done by this particular type of conceited do-gooding.

Stop Them If You've Heard It Before
In this "Fact Check" video from the Climate Discussion Nexus, Dr. John Robson examines and rebuts the clichés that make up virtually every alarmist speech on climate you've ever heard, from the supposed scientific consensus to the alleged increase in extreme weather to the panicky call to take drastic action without thinking.

Looking At The Sun
Climate alarmists downplay or dismiss the role of the sun in climate change, attributing most or all of it to CO2 and to man-made CO2 at that. But in this Climate Discussion Nexus "Backgrounder" video Dr. John Robson explains that a technical dispute about satellite readings of solar output since 1979 is of enormous importance here because if one side is right, temperature fluctuations over the last four decades correlate very closely with cycles in the sun's activity and if the other is, they're almost entirely unrelated. And once again, the refusal of one side to admit there's a dispute, and to try to suppress evidence of it, tells you a lot about who's doing real climate "science".

The 2000 National Climate Misassessment
In the year 2000, the U.S. government's Global Change Research Program produced the first in a series of National Climate Assessments that made a number of projections based on computer models it insisted were ready for prime time. But as Dr. John Robson explains in this Climate Discussion Nexus "Crystal Ball" video, including an interview with Dr. Pat Michaels, the models were already known to be worse than random when they examined past temperatures and their predictions, predictably, were worse than a coin toss. Which didn't stand in the way of their bureaucratic empire-building.

Big Trouble in the Tropical Troposphere
For nearly half a century the climate computer models have said that if you want to see warming, look at the "Tropical Troposphere," the portion of the atmosphere above the very bottom but below the stratosphere, and the part of it over the tropics. But as Dr. John Robson explains in this Climate Discussion Nexus "Crystal Ball" video, actual measurements, by balloons and satellites, consistently show there's far less warming there than predicted. And while activist scientists say never mind the data, the theory must be right, we say if the facts don't fit the prediction, the hypothesis is refuted.

IPCC pressure tactics exposed: A Climategate Backgrounder
Dr. John Robson looks back on the 10th anniversary of the exposure of the scandalous "Climategate" decision to delete awkward data that contradicted the idea that settled science said we face a man-made global warming crisis.
