How Close is the Return of Jesus?
In Matthew 25:1-13, Jesus shares the parable of the ten virgins, emphasizing readiness for His return. As the bridegroom's arrival is delayed, five virgins, unprepared without oil, miss the celebration. This sermon delves into the urgency of spiritual preparedness and vigilance, echoing Luke 21:36 and 1 Thessalonians 1:10, reassuring believers that they are not destined for wrath but for salvation. Moreover, Revelation vividly portrays the tribulations preceding Christ's return, urging believers to stand firm (Revelation 6:8, 9:18).
Drawing from Joel's prophecy and Christ's teachings (Matthew 24:34, Mark 13:3, Luke 21:28), we recognize the signs heralding His imminent return. Additional Scriptures like Revelation 11:5-10 and 13:11-18 provide insights into end-time events, challenging believers to discern the times and remain faithful amidst tribulations.
This sermon aims to ignite a sense of urgency and expectancy, urging believers to be spiritually alert and prepared as we await the glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Easter Resurrection
In this sermon, we delve into the foundational truth of Christianity: the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 15, we are reminded of the core of the gospel message: Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. Through the eyewitness accounts of Matthew and John, we witness the tangible reality of Jesus' resurrection, which transformed the lives of His disciples and continues to impact believers today.
The resurrection isn't just a historical event; it's a powerful demonstration of God's victory over sin and death, as highlighted in Matthew 28 and Luke 24. As we reflect on the implications of Christ's resurrection, we're called to respond with faith and submission. Just as Jesus commissioned His disciples to spread the gospel to all nations, we are urged to embrace the truth of His resurrection and surrender our lives to Him, as outlined in John 3:16, James 4:7, and 1 Peter 5:7-10.
Join us as we explore the “TRUE” Easter story of the transformative power of Jesus's resurrection and its significance for our lives today!

Cut The Bull
In the biblical narrative of 1 Kings, we encounter the boldness of the prophet Elijah confronting the waywardness of King Ahab and the people of Israel. Ahab's reign was marked by idolatry and disobedience, epitomized by his marriage to Jezebel and his worship of Baal. Elijah's challenge on Mount Carmel serves as a powerful illustration of the need to confront compromise and stand firm in faith.
Firstly, Elijah's presence unsettled Ahab, highlighting the discomfort that God's truth often brings to those living in disobedience (1 Kings 18:17-19). Similarly, believers today may face opposition when they boldly live out their faith in a world at odds with God's principles.
Secondly, Elijah's question to the people of Israel echoes through the ages, urging us to choose whom we will serve (1 Kings 18:21). In a culture of moral relativism, God calls us to unwavering commitment and allegiance to Him.
Lastly, Elijah's prayer demonstrates the power of persistent faith in God's intervention (1 Kings 18:36-38). Just as God answered Elijah with fire from heaven, He invites us to call upon Him in our times of need, trusting in His provision and sovereignty. In this sermon, we are challenged to cut through the bull of compromise and half-hearted devotion, embracing a faith that is bold, unwavering, and reliant on the power of God to bring about transformation and revival.

Removing The Rubble
"Removing The Rubble" delves into the spiritual landscape of our lives, echoing the journey of Gideon and Josiah as depicted in the scriptures. Judges 6:12-13 portrays Gideon's questioning in the face of adversity, echoing our own doubts amidst trials. Similarly, 2 Chronicles 33:21-23 and 2 Kings 23:4-15 showcase the removal of idols and the purification of worship, urging us to evaluate our allegiances. Just as Gideon and Josiah sought the Lord in Judges 7:2-3 and 2 Chronicles 34:3-7, we are prompted to introspect and seek divine guidance. God's impartiality, exemplified in Judges 7:11, 13-15 and 2 Chronicles 35:20-22, reinforces the sermon's message of reliance on Him alone. Proverbs 3:5-6 and Romans 12:2 serve as guiding principles, urging trust and transformation. "Removing The Rubble" invites us to confront the idols in our lives, seek God's will, and allow Him to lead us to victory over adversity.

Standing Strong - Part 3
Join us for the third installment of our series, "Standing Strong," as we delve into the reassuring truths of Romans 8:34-35. Are you feeling condemned? Let the words of Scripture remind you: Christ Jesus, who died and rose again, now intercedes for us, and nothing can separate us from His love. Even in suffering, we are called to rejoice (Romans 8:36-39), knowing that we are conquerors through Him who loves us. Take refuge in Christ, as proclaimed in Psalm 91:2-6, finding safety and protection in His faithful promises. Drawing from Ephesians 4:12-16 and 2 Timothy 2:1-2, we are reminded of our role in building up the body of Christ and passing on the truths we've received. Let us stand strong in the grace of Christ, equipped to share His love and truth with others.

Standing Strong - Part 2
"Standing Strong - Part 2" explores the essence of resilience and victory in Christ, drawing from a rich tapestry of biblical passages. Emphasizing five indispensable keys to overcoming, the sermon delves into the power of Restoration, echoing the endurance of saints in 2 Corinthians 6:3-7 and the transformative rebirth in 2 Corinthians 5:17-20. Faith, illuminated through Hebrews 11:1-6 and Romans 4:3-5, emerges as an unwavering anchor. The Word, as our guiding light according to 1 Peter 3:15, intertwines with the cultivation of Character (1 Timothy 4:7) and the potency of Prayer (James 5:16). Amidst trials, the message resonates with the reassurance from Romans 8:34-35 and 36-39, urging believers to rejoice even in suffering, echoing Psalm 91:2-6's profound promise of divine protection and refuge.

Standing Strong Part - 1
In the face of life's challenges, Romans 8:31 reminds us: "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" This assurance prompts reflection: What are we lacking? Romans 8:32-33 assures that God, who gave His Son for us, will graciously provide all we need. Dwelling in His shelter (Psalms 91:1) brings restoration. Our faith (Hebrews 11:6) and adherence to His Word (1 Peter 3:15) shape our character (1 Timothy 4:7). Through prayer (James 5:16), condemnation fades (Romans 8:34-35), and even suffering is met with rejoicing (Romans 8:36-39).

Restoring Family Relationships

Restoring Family Relationships
Speaker - Jeff Hartwig
Sermon Notes
Acts 15:36-41 NLT "After some time Paul said to Barnabas, "Let's go back and visit each city where we previously preached the word of the Lord, to see how the new believers are doing." But Paul disagreed strongly, since John Mark had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not continued with them in their work. Barnabas agreed and wanted to take along John Mark. Their disagreement was so sharp that they separated. Barnabas took John Mark with him and sailed for Cyprus. Then he traveled throughout Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches there Paul chose Silas, and as he left, the believers entrusted him to the Lord’s gracious care.”
1. Satan has no new gimmicks, or methods. Divide and conquer is his primary plan to destroy relationships!
2. As believers, we have a huge advantage!
Romans 12:18, "If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.”
3. Living selfishly kills family relationships! Putting others first, promotes healing!
The 3 C’s
- Cover an offense
Proverbs 19:11 Amp. "Good sense makes a man restrain his anger, and it is his glory to overlook a transgression or an offense.”
- Confront an offense
Gal. 6:1 NLT "Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path.
- But never let it Cook
Heb. 12:15 NLT "Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.”
4. When conflict occurs in a family, it can either be a point of growth, or a point of breakdown and sometimes breakdown.
1 John 5:14-15 NIV "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us — whatever we ask— we know that we have what we asked of him.”
5. Dress for success not failure!
Colossians 3:12-15. NLT "Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with
tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.”
Matthew 5:23-25 NLT So if you are presenting a sacrifice at the altar in the Temple and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you, leave your sacrifice there at the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God. “When you are on the way to court with your adversary, settle your differences quickly. Otherwise, your accuser may hand you over to the judge, who will hand you over to an officer, and you will be thrown into prison.

Discipleship means allegiance to the suffering Christ, and it is therefore not all surprising that Christians should be called upon to suffer. In fact it is a joy and not a token of his grace.

Is Peace Possible?
Speaker - Owen Mason
Sermon Notes
Matthew 5:9 9“Blessed arethe peacemakers, forthey shall be calledsons of God.
1. Misconceptions about peacemaking.
- It is not pretending it does not exist.
- It is not appeasement.
Question:
- Are you a peace maker?
- Are you a peace keeper?
2. Why be a peacemaker?
- Because unresolved conflict:
- Blocks my fellowship with God.
1 John 4:20-21 20If anyone says, “I love God,” andhates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannotlove Godwhom he has not seen.21Andthis commandment we have from him:whoever loves God must also love his brother.
1 John 1:3-4 3that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeedour fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.4And we are writing these things sothat ourjoy may be complete.
- Prevents prayer from being answered.
- Hinders my happiness.
Job 18:4 4You whotear yourself in your anger,
shall the earth be forsaken for you,
orthe rock be removed out of its place?
3. How to be a peacemaker.
P.E.A.C.E.
- Plan a peace conference.
Matthew 5:23-24 23So ifyou are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you,24leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
- Empathize with their feelings.
Philippians 2:4 4Let each of youlook not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others
- Attack the problem not the person.
- Cooperate as much as possible.
Romans 12:18 18If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
James 3:17 17Butthe wisdom from above is first pure, thenpeaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial andsincere.
- Empathize reconciliation not resolution.
2 Corinthians 5:18 18All this is from God,who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave usthe ministry of reconciliation;
Colossians 3:15 15And letthe peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were calledin one body. Andbe thankful.

Ephesians 5:25 25Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church andgave himself up for her,
1 Peter 3:7 7Likewise,husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weakervessel, since they are heirs with youof the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered

Matthew 6:2-3 2“Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they maybe praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they havereceived their reward.3But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
- Praying
Matthew 6:5-6 5“And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they loveto stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others.Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.6But when you pray,go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
- Fasting
Matthew 6:16-18 16“Andwhen you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by others.Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.17But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face,18that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
1 Thessalonians 2:4 4but just as we have been approved by Godto be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, notto please man, but to please Godwho tests our hearts.
3. Realign my priorities
Exodus 20:3 3“You shall have no other gods before me.
How do I know my priorities?
Three Tests
1. Look at my activities
Matthew 6:19 19“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, wheremoth and rustdestroy and where thievesbreak in and steal,
2. Look at my anxieties
Matthew 6:25 25“Therefore I tell you,do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
3. Look at my ambitions
Matthew 6:31-33 31Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’32Forthe Gentiles seek after all these things, andyour heavenly Father knows that you need them all.33Butseek firstthe kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Psalm 51:10 10Create in me aclean heart, O God, andrenew a rightspirit within me.

“Mercy” is love in action.
Psalm 145:8 8TheLordisgracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
2. The marks of mercy: if I am merciful…
- I’ll be patient with those who are peculiar.
1 Thessalonians 5:14 14And we urge you, brothers, admonishthe idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak,be patient with them all.

1 John 3:17-18 17Butif anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yetcloses his heart against him,how does God's love abide in him?18Little children, let us notlove in word or talk but in deed andin truth.

- I’ll do good to my enemies.
Luke 6:33,35-36 33And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 35Butlove your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, andyou will be sons ofthe Most High, forhe is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.36Be merciful, even asyour Father is merciful.
3. The motive for mercy:

Giving Christmas Through Love

Sermon Notes
Matthew 5:5 5Blessed are themeek, for theyshall inherit the earth.
Proverbs 16:32 32Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
What is meekness.
Meekness is not weakness.
Meekness is strength under control.
Happy are those who do not over react.
How do I control my reactions?
2 Tomothy 1:7 7for God gave usa spirit not of fear butof power and love and self-control. Power controlled by love. Four ways will help:
When someone wants to serve you be understanding not demanding.
Philippians 2:4-5 4Let each of youlook not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.5Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,
1 Peter 3:4,7 4but let your adorning bethe hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious. 7Likewise,husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weakervessel, since they are heirs with youof the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.
When someone disappoints you be gentle not judgmental.
Romans 14:1 14As forthe one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions.
Galatians 6:1-2 6Brothers,if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him ina spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.2Bear one another's burdens, andso fulfillthe law of Christ.
When somebody disagrees with you be there without surrender.
Proverbs 15:1 15A soft answer turns away wrath, buta harsh word stirs up anger.
James 3:16-17 16For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.17Butthe wisdom from above is first pure, thenpeaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial andsincere.
2 Timothy 2:24-25 24Andthe Lord's servantmust not be quarrelsome butkind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil,25correcting his opponentswith gentleness. Godmay perhaps grant them repentanceleading to a knowledge of the truth,
When someone corrects you be teachable not unreachable.
James 1:19 19Know this, my beloved brothers: let every personbe quick to hear,slow to speak,slow to anger;
Proverbs 13:18 18Poverty and disgrace come to him whoignores instruction, but whoeverheeds reproof is honored.

Matthew 5: 4”Blessed arethose who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
How to experience God’s comfort
1. Realize God is with you.
Psalm 34:18 18TheLordis near tothe brokenhearted and savesthe crushed in spirit.
Remember the following:

- God cares.
Nahum 1:7 7TheLordis good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.
- God wants to help.
Hebrews 4:16 16Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
2. Release the hurt.
Ephesians 3:16-20 16I pray that out of his glorious richeshe may strengthen you with powerthrough his Spirit in your inner being,17so that Christ may dwell in your heartsthrough faith. And I pray that you, being rootedand established in love,18may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people,to grasp how wide and long and high and deepis the love of Christ,19and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filledto the measure of all the fullness of God. 20Now to him who is ableto do immeasurably more than all we askor imagine, according to his powerthat is at work within us,21to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
How?
Stop focusing on what is lost and start focusing on what is left.
Isaiah 43:18 18“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.
Romans 12:19 19Beloved,never avenge yourselves, but leave itto the wrath of God, for it is written,“Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”

- Holy spirit.
Romans 15:13 13May the God of hope fill you with alljoy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
- God’s word.
Psalm 119: 25, 52 25My soul clings to the dust; give me lifeaccording to your word! 52When I think of your rules from of old, I take comfort, OLord.
- God’s people.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 3Blessed be theGod and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies andGod of all comfort,4who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
Revelation 21:4 4He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, anddeath shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

Searching For Happiness
Speaker - Owen Mason
Sermon Notes
Matthew 5:3-12 3“Blessed arethe poor in spirit, fortheirs is the kingdom of heaven.4“Blessed arethose who mourn, for they shall be comforted. 5“Blessed are themeek, for theyshall inherit the earth.
6“Blessed are those who hunger andthirstfor righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
7“Blessed arethe merciful, for they shall receive mercy. 8“Blessed arethe pure in heart, forthey shall see God.
9“Blessed arethe peacemakers, forthey shall be calledsons[a]of God. 10“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, fortheirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falselyon my account.12Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, forso they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
The Popular Idea of happiness:
Having right circumstances.
Ecclesiastes 2:1-17
Ecclesiastes 2:1 2Isaid in my heart, “Come now, I will test you with pleasure; enjoy yourself.” But behold, this also was vanity.
Dead ends:
Accumulating Things. (Vs. 7,8)
7I bought male and female slaves, and hadslaves who were born in my house. I had also great possessions ofherds and flocks, more than any who had been before me in Jerusalem.8I also gathered for myself silver andgold and the treasure ofkings andprovinces. I gotsingers, both men and women, and manyconcubines, the delight of the sons of man.
Experiencing Pleasures. (Vs. 3,10)
3Isearched with my heart how to cheer my body with wine—my heart still guiding me with wisdom—and how to lay hold onfolly, till I might see what was good for the children of man to do under heaven during the few days of their life.
10And whatever my eyes desired I did not keep from them. I kept my heart from no pleasure, for my heartfound pleasure in all my toil, and this was myreward for all my toil.
Achieving success . (Vs. 4-6,9)
4I made great works. Ibuilt houses and plantedvineyards for myself.5I made myselfgardens and parks, and planted in them all kinds of fruit trees.6I made myself pools from which to water the forest of growing trees.
9So I became great andsurpassed all who were before me in Jerusalem. Also mywisdom remained with me.
Ecclesiastes 2:17 17So I hated life, because what is done under the sun was grievous to me, forall is vanity and a striving after wind.
Gods way to happiness:
Having the right attitude.
Matthew 5:3-12 3“Blessed arethe poor in spirit, fortheirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4“Blessed arethose who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
9“Blessed arethe peacemakers, forthey shall be calledsonsof God.
Blessed means Happy.
The first step of happiness:
Be Humble.
How Humility increases my happiness:
It reduces Stress.
It improves my relationship.
It releases God’s Power.
James 4:6 6Buthe gives more grace. Therefore it says,“God opposes the proud butgives grace to the humble.”
Matthew 5:3 3“Blessed arethe poor in spirit, fortheirs is the kingdom of heaven.
John 13:17 17If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

How Do You Respond to Affliction?

How Do You Respond to Affliction?
Speaker - Owen Mason
Sermon Notes
Genesis 37:3-11 3Now Israel loved Joseph more than any other of his sons, because he wasthe son of his old age. And he made hima robe of many colors.4But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peacefully to him. 5Now Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers they hated him even more.6He said to them, “Hear this dream that I have dreamed:7Behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and behold,my sheaf arose and stood upright. And behold, your sheaves gathered around it andbowed down to my sheaf.”8His brothers said to him, “Are you indeed to reign over us? Or are you indeed to rule over us?” So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words. 9Then he dreamed another dream and told it to his brothers and said, “Behold, I have dreamed another dream. Behold, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”10But when he told it to his father and to his brothers, his father rebuked him and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I andyour mother and your brothers indeed cometo bow ourselves to the ground before you?”11Andhis brothers were jealous of him,but his father kept the saying in mind.
Acts 12:6-10 6Now when Herod was about to bring him out, on that very night, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries before the door were guarding the prison.7And behold,an angel of the Lordstood next to him, and a light shone in the cell.He struck Peter on the side and woke him, saying, “Get up quickly.” Andthe chains fell off his hands.8And the angel said to him, “Dress yourself andput on your sandals.” And he did so. And he said to him, “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me.”9And he went out and followed him. He did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, butthought he was seeing a vision.10When they had passed the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate leading into the city.It opened for them of its own accord, and they went out and went along one street, and immediately the angel left him.
Are you fruitful when facing rejection?
Genesis 37:4-5 4But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peacefully to him. 5Now Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers they hated him even more.
Are you fruitful when facing false accusation?
Genesis 39:6-20 6So he left all that he had in Joseph's charge, and because of him he had no concern about anything but the food he ate.
Now Joseph washandsome in form and appearance.7And after a time his master's wife cast her eyes on Joseph and said, “Lie with me.”8But he refused and said to his master's wife, “Behold, because of me my master has no concern about anything in the house, andhe has put everything that he has in my charge.9He is not greater in this house than I am, nor has he kept back anything from me except you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness andsin against God?”10And as she spoke to Joseph day after day, hewould not listen to her, to lie beside her or to be with her. 11But one day, when he went into the house to do his work and none of the men of the house was there in the house,12she caught him by his garment, saying, “Lie with me.” But he left his garment in her hand and fled and got out of the house.13And as soon as she saw that he had left his garment in her hand and had fled out of the house,14she called to the men of her household and said to them, “See, he has brought among us a Hebrew to laugh at us. He came in to me to lie with me, and I cried out with a loud voice.15And as soon as he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried out, he left his garment beside me and fled and got out of the house.”16Then she laid up his garment by her until his master came home,17and she told him the same story, saying, “The Hebrew servant, whom you have brought among us, came in to me to laugh at me.18But as soon as I lifted up my voice and cried, he left his garment beside me and fled out of the house.” 19As soon as his master heard the words that his wife spoke to him, “This is the way your servant treated me,” his anger was kindled.20And Joseph's master took him andput him into theprison, the place where the king's prisoners were confined, and he was there in prison.
Genesis 39:13-18 13And as soon as she saw that he had left his garment in her hand and had fled out of the house,14she called to the men of her household and said to them, “See, he has brought among us a Hebrew to laugh at us. He came in to me to lie with me, and I cried out with a loud voice.15And as soon as he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried out, he left his garment beside me and fled and got out of the house.”16Then she laid up his garment by her until his master came home,17and she told him the same story, saying, “The Hebrew servant, whom you have brought among us, came in to me to laugh at me.18But as soon as I lifted up my voice and cried, he left his garment beside me and fled out of the house.”
Are you fruitful in isolation?
Genesis 40:4-19 4The captain of the guard appointed Joseph to be with them, and he attended them. They continued for some time in custody. 5And one night they both dreamed—the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were confined in the prison—each his own dream, and each dream with its own interpretation.6When Joseph came to them in the morning, he saw that they were troubled.7So he asked Pharaoh's officers who were with him in custody in his master's house,“Why are your faces downcast today?”8They said to him,“We have had dreams, and there is no one to interpret them.” And Joseph said to them,“Do not interpretations belong to God? Please tell them to me.” 9So the chief cupbearer told his dream to Joseph and said to him, “In my dream there was a vine before me,10and on the vine there were three branches. As soon as it budded, its blossoms shot forth, and the clusters ripened into grapes.11Pharaoh's cup was in my hand, and I took the grapes and pressed them into Pharaoh's cup and placed the cup in Pharaoh's hand.”12Then Joseph said to him,“This is its interpretation:the three branches are three days.13In three days Pharaoh willlift up your head and restore you to your office, and you shall place Pharaoh's cup in his hand as formerly, when you were his cupbearer.14Only remember me, when it is well with you, and please do me the kindness to mention me to Pharaoh, and so get me out of this house.15ForI was indeed stolen out of the land of the Hebrews, andhere also I have done nothing that they should put me into the pit.” 16When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was favorable, he said to Joseph, “I also had a dream: there were three cake baskets on my head,17and in the uppermost basket there were all sorts of baked food for Pharaoh, but the birds were eating it out of the basket on my head.”18And Joseph answered and said,“This is its interpretation: the three baskets are three days.19In three days Pharaoh will lift up your head—from you!—andhang you on a tree. And the birds will eat the flesh from you.”
Genesis 40:23 23Yet the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph, but forgot him.
Genesis 41:9-13 9Then the chief cupbearer said to Pharaoh, “I remember my offenses today.10When Pharaoh wasangry with his servantsand put me and the chief baker in custody in the house of the captain of the guard,11we dreamed on the same night, he and I, each having a dream with its own interpretation.12A young Hebrew was there with us, a servant of the captain of the guard. When we told him,he interpreted our dreams to us, giving an interpretation to each man according to his dream.13Andas he interpreted to us, so it came about. I was restored to my office, and the baker was hanged.”

Acts 12:4-17 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.
Proverbs 3:5 3 Trust in theLordwith all your heart, anddo not lean on your own understanding.
Proverbs 19:17 17Whoever is generous to the poor lends to theLord ,and hewill repay him for hisdeed.
We access the door by trusting in Jesus
Romans 8:29-32 29For those whom heforeknew he alsopredestinedto be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might bethe firstborn among many brothers.30And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he alsojustified, and those whom he justified he alsoglorified. 31What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can beagainst us?32He who did not spare his own Son butgave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
Hebrews 4:14-16 14Since then we havea great high priestwho has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God,let us hold fast our confession.15For we do not have a high priestwho is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has beentempted as we are,yet without sin.16Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
We access the door by Praying for God’s will.
John 11:41-42 41So they took away the stone. And Jesuslifted up his eyes and said,“Father, I thank you that you have heard me.42I knew that you always hear me, but I said thison account of the people standing around, that they may believe that you sent me.”
John 5:14 14Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him,“See, you are well!Sin no more, that nothing worse may happen to you.”
James 4:2 2You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask.
We access the door because of Spiritual Blessings.
Ephesians 1:3 3Blessed bethe God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessingin the heavenly places,
John 5:19 19So Jesus said to them,“Truly, truly, I say to you,the Soncan do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Fatherdoes, that the Son does likewise.
John 5:30 30“I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, andmy judgment is just, becauseI seek not my own willbut the will of him who sent me.
John 20:19-27 19On the eveningof that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples werefor fear of the Jews,Jesus came and stood among them and said to them,“Peace be with you.”20When he had said this,he showed them his hands and his side. Thenthe disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.21Jesus said to them again,“Peace be with you. Asthe Father has sent me,even so I am sending you.”22And when he had said this, hebreathed on them and said to them,“Receive the Holy Spirit.23If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.” 24NowThomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came.25So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them,“Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.” 26Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them.Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said,“Peace be with you.”27Then he said to Thomas,“Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.”
Acts 5:18-25 18they arrested the apostles andput them in the public prison.19But during the nightan angel of the Lordopened the prison doors and brought them out, and said,20“Go and stand in the temple and speak to the people allthe words ofthisLife.”21And when they heard this, they entered the templeat daybreak and began to teach.
Now when the high priest came, and those who were with him, they called together the council, all the senate of the people of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.22But when the officers came, they did not find them in the prison, so they returned and reported,23“We found the prison securely locked and the guards standing at the doors, but when we opened them we found no one inside.”24Now whenthe captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these words, they were greatly perplexed about them, wondering what this would come to.25And someone came and told them, “Look! The men whom you put in prisonare standing in the temple and teaching the people.”
James 1:17 17Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down fromthe Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.

God's Grace Is Enough!

Speaker - Adam Light
Sermon Notes
Mark 1:9-11 9In those days Jesuscame from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.10And immediately coming up out of the water, He saw the heavensopening, and the Spirit, like a dove, descending upon Him;11and a voice came from the heavens: “You are My beloved Son; in You Iam well pleased.”
Encounter God
1. God wants to know you before you serve him.
Expect His Grace
2. The first thing God sees in us is the grace he has deposited in us.
Romans 8:15 15For youhave not received a spirit of slaveryleading to fear again, but youhave receiveda spirit of adoption as sonsand daughtersby which we cry out, “Abba!Father!”
2 Samuel 9:1-7 1Then David said, “Is thereanyone still left of the house of Saul,so that I could show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?”2Nowthere wasa servant of the house of Saul whose name was Ziba, and they summoned him to David; and the king said to him, “Are youZiba?” And he said, “I amyour servant.”3Then the king said, “Is there no one remaining of the house of Saul to whom I could show thekindness of God?” And Ziba said to the king, “There is still a son of Jonathan, one who is disabled in both feet.”4So the king said to him, “Where is he?” And Ziba said to the king, “Behold, he isin the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo-debar.”5Then King David sentmessengers who brought him from the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo-debar.6Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, came to David andfell on his face and prostrated himself. And David said, “Mephibosheth.” And he said, “Here is your servant!”7Then David said to him, “Do not be afraid, forI will assuredly show kindness to you for the sake of your father Jonathan, and Iwill restore to you all theland of yourgrandfather Saul; andyou yourself shalleat at my table regularly.”
Experience His rest
3. The one thing needed is resting in Him.
Luke 10:40-42 40ButMartha was distracted withall her preparations; and she came upto Himand said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do the servingby myself? Then tell her to help me.”41But the Lord answered and said to her,“Martha, Martha, you areworried and distracted by many things;42butonlyone thing is necessary; forMary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”
