Well golly, I found a video from several weeks ago that I didn't know I had, so I just did a quick optimize and am uploading it before the month is out. Don't know how THAT happened!

Today I dragged out one of my older music books, one that I had bought a number of years ago but never really went through or played. So I turned on the camera as I was looking through it and playing a few songs in it. Don't know why I hadn't cracked it open before, there's some good stuff in there! Anyway, I did the same as last week, just played and let the camera roll, then cut out all the junk to leave a few songs I wanted to share.

Pete had an appointment in Cadillac so we took the opportunity for a day trip, and this is how it went!

The other day I found a music book that I forgot I had. I hadn't seen it in years! It's just simple basic hymns - up a notch from the fakebooks I typically like to play from but still pretty basic. So as I was going through the book to refresh my memory of the songs in it I decided to turn on my phone and record some of it, which I then chopped up into this video. I also used that opportunity to try some of my new registrations; I'm rebuilding my registration library (close to 1000 registrations) from scratch since the Tyros 5 is so different from the PSR-S950 on which I built them. Anyway, for what it's worth, here are some little snippets of my afternoon.

SURPRISE! My sister comes up to Michigan for a visit and we surprise my daughter, then spend the afternoon with her family.

We took a trip to Midland for a Costco shopping and a visit to a certain laundromat for old times' sake. Plus a new-to-us thrift store and Qdoba!

I decided to record this morning as I was having my coffee right after getting out of bed. I wouldn't usually do that but the poi boiz were being so stinkin cute I had to do it.

The last couple days of February we, apparently, were under a winter storm warning. But we didn't know that, we were expecting a couple of inches of snow and that was it. So we found ourselves a dozen miles from home, having lunch at our favorite restaurant, when it hit. This video shares the wonders of the beautiful snowfall.

We went to one of the many Amish businesses in our area during the start of a winter storm, and, though it is usually packed, there was hardly anyone else there! So I took the opportunity to do some recording. I was about halfway through the store when I realized I had nearly 30 minutes of video, and I don't know many people who would watch that much shopping! Of course once I did the editing, and sped up the slower parts a little bit, the result is much shorter, but still plenty long! I will record part II the next time we shop there and it isn't TOO busy. It is a great store and we go there often, they have a great variety of things we never see anywhere else too!

We were predicted to have a big snow storm on these 2 days, so I recorded a vlog in which I could include it. There are also lots of wildlife herein.

Another walk to the river across our yard with my service dog Maisie; using her and my walker I am hoping to gain some of the strength I have lost over the last couple of years, God willing!

It was a beautiful day so I took Maisie and my walker and walked out to see the river from where we are now parked/living on the property, having never seen this part of it before. (But first, a minute of the silly turkeys outside!) This was a long amble for me, so I was happy to have reached my goal!

The wind was pretty violent earlier in the day and I recorded it blowing the tops of our tall pines outside of my window. From where I sit in my recliner I am looking up at them, and they looked almost angry as the wind blew. (NOTE that you may want to lower your volume, especially if you are wearing headphones!)

We got the chance to spend time with our daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids yesterday; here are a few clips.

We lived in this motorhome for 5 years but it was time for a change...so we bought this Nuwa Hitchhiker Wide Body Premier in November and it suits our current life so much better! We did find a buyer for the Hurricane Motorhome; he doesn't drive, and so had it towed to his property, where he also plans to live in it full-time.

We had been looking for a table to replace the card table we had temporarily set up in front of these windows. Then it occurred to us that a table was NOT the best choice for our purposes...so we started looking into "cockatial storage ottmans". It didn't take long to find this one! It is perfect for our needs! It's low enough that we can see out through the entire back window...storage for the grandkids' toys and other things...will work as a table for them to play on when they're here...extra seating for guests/kids...and a GREAT place for the dogs to relax, or watch the wildlife! So much more practical than a table for us!

Had a blast playing this one today, just kept piling up the sounds to see how far I could take it, now that I have the proper speakers set up. And wow, there was a big pile, and no distortion or static! I normally don't have so many things going on at once, but it's kind of cool that I could if I wanted to!

I share the things we bought at 3 thrift stores, Costco, and do some box openings from iHerb.com, VitaCost.com, and Carewell.com . (We also bought some things at Soldan's pet store but they were in the car, so weren't included.) Though we received a total of 7 boxes while we were gone, I didn't have to open all of them. This was originally about 40 minutes of "film" and I edited out everything I possibly could to get it down to a reasonable length.

I had a doctor's appointment in Alma, MI in the morning. Rather than go directly home we decided to take a little detour to Midland, MI for some thrift store shopping, some time at my favorite pet store, and a Costco run. I also talk about what transpired with my cardiology appointment

Maisie loves when I've eaten the last of the yogurt!

It is down in the single digits this morning (-1°F wind chill) and the little critters are gathering around the corn (and black oilers) pile! We also have a bird feeding station in another part of the yard, but hubby Pete puts this little pile out so that I can see them from the window next to my recliner while I have my morning coffee.

As I came down the stairs after I woke up I thought I should take a little video of my first impresssions "the day after" - this is that!

Come, Holy Spirit, Dove Divine is a song I've been working on because I love it. I've tried to get a near-perfect play-through all day, and deleted several GBs of recordings. Finally I just decided that next one is what I'm posting - good or bad! BUT as I always say, I'm not a performer, I just like to share things from my life (good or bad) and playing my keyboard is a big part. So here it is for what it's worth...
