Exodus 17:8-16, God Will Utterly Blot Out Those Who Hate Israel
Continuing their journey from Egypt to the Promised Land, the Israelites encounter the Amalek people who come out to fight them in Rephidim. Pastor Kevin shows how the Amalekites and their descendants continued to threaten the Jewish people throughout their history. They are also a type of all peoples to the present day who are inspired by Satan to hate and strive to destroy the Jewish people, and only the complete destruction of Israel’s enemies will bring lasting peace. Although still future to us, we know that one day, God “will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven” (Exodus 17:14).

Exodus 13:17 - 14:31, Oct 8, 2023, So They Were Afraid
Pastor Kevin leads us in the historical study of when God parted the Red Sea to allow the Jews to start their journey to the Promised Land. This teaching was on the day after Hamas launched thousands of missiles at Israel, invaded southern Israeli cities while killing hundreds of civilians, and taking hundreds of men, women and children as hostages
In Moses’ day, when the Jews safely reached the Arabian shore, God brought the parted waters down upon the entire Egyptian army, killing them all. Why? - Because of Pharaoh’s pride when he rejected God’s command to let God’s people go.
This miracle is a fact of history and a warning to all those who want to destroy the Jewish people. Thirty-five-hundred years ago it was Pharaoh who thought he could kill the Jews he had only days earlier released from slavery because of the tenth plague (death of the first born).
This week, with the help of Iran and other nations of the world, the Muslim Hamas and Hizbullah leaders think the time has arrived for them to wipe the Jewish state of Israel off of the map. The same God who parted the Red Sea is able to keep His Jews from being cast out of the Promised Land that God brought them back into after two thousand years of being scattered.
Throughout today’s study, Kevin compares these “then and now” scenarios, based on the prophetic promises of God pertaining to the future wars of Psalm 83, Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38-39.

James 2:14-26, Understanding Faith and Works
Today’s topical message addresses the roles of faith and good works in the life of the believer. Drawing on Scriptures that can seem self-contradictory, Pastor Dustin shows how these passages actually complement each other when taken in context and exhorts believers to make the most of every opportunity to work for Jesus while there is still time. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10 NKJV).

Judges 11:12-33, Oct 22, 2023, Conflicts Between Israel and Her Arab Neighbors
In this topical message, Pastor Kevin addresses the now two-week-old war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, stressing the importance of having a biblical view of this conflict. He takes us on a tour of Jewish history from the time of the Exodus to the present day, using biblical, secular, and contemporary sources to demonstrate that, while Jews, Arabs, and other people groups have always lived in this tiny corner of the world, never has there been any sovereign nation except Israel here, named Palestine or otherwise, nor did the Jews “kick out” Arabs that lived here after the formation of the modern state of Israel in May 1948.
Pastor Kevin explains that the existing hatred of the Arab / Muslim peoples towards the Jews is inspired by Satan, just as he has inspired others throughout history to try to exterminate God’s chosen people, the Jews. Pastor Kevin explains that even though the modern state of Israel is living in rejection of God and His laws, God will preserve the Jews for His Name’s sake (Ezekiel 36:22-24). We eagerly await the day when the Jews, as well as many Arabs / Muslims, will turn to Jesus in repentance and faith (Ezekiel 36:25-38) and, until then, must share the gospel of Jesus Christ and truth about Israel with all who will listen. Being on the right side of history means being on God’s side!

Exodus 16:1-36, Jesus is the True Manna
Exodus 16 relates the familiar account of God’s provision of manna for the Israelites to sustain them on their journey from Egypt to the Promised Land. Pastor Dustin draws parallels between this physical “bread from heaven” (Exodus 16:4) and Jesus, the “true bread from heaven” (John 5:32, Whom God provided 1500 years later as our Salvation and Sustenance. As God tested the Israelites to see whether they would obey Him, so He tests believers today. May we obey God’s command to trust Him completely, even more so as the days grow darker until He comes.
