Rescued pit bull with incredible story loves new squeaky toy
Beauregard is a lucky old dog who has found a home at the Black Dog Farm and Rescue. It was a small miracle that he was found and given a second chance.
Beauregard was completely alone, surviving somehow without any help from anyone. With an injured leg, he was limping his way to a creek to get a drink of water.
As luck would have it, he picked the right moment because a car was driving past at that time. And the occupants of the car happened to be Jim and Jennifer, the owners of a beautiful sanctuary and rescue called Black Dog Farm and Rescue. Jim's treats and Jennifer's soft voice made it easy to trust these people and Beauregard was obviously hungry and in desperate need of help.
Beau limped over to Jennifer with blood covered ears. After a few treats, he followed Jennifer around the truck and into the horse trailer that they were pulling. Jim closed the door and Jennifer rode in the trailer with Beau the rest of the way home.
Beauregard didn't seem to mind. He was happy to find loving people and treats. Beau's first day was spent at the veterinary clinic getting his paw looked after. He had been caught in a coyote trap. It seems that he was stuck and had to free himself at the expense of part of his paw. The tears on his ears could have been from barbed wire or an attack.
It's impossible to know exactly how old Beau is. His teeth were badly neglected and he was in rough shape when he was found. But he's found his forever home at the Black Dog Farm and Rescue. All he wants now is cuddles and noisy squeaky toys. Beau picked this toy out of the box himself and now he and his buddie, "Piggy" are inseparable.
Black Dog Farm and Rescue is located in Texas. They take in the neediest and most hopeless cases that nobody else can or will help. Often, they are abandoned due to medical needs and expense. Other times, they are simply discarded animals who deserve much better treatment than what they had been getting. But when these beautiful souls find their way to Jim and Jennifer, they will always get the love and care that they deserve.
This beautiful sanctuary relies on the kindness and support from animal lovers all over the world. They gratefully accept donations. They can be found on Facebook, Rumble, and YouTube.
Anyone wishing to help them work their magic can comment on the Rumble video or reach out through Facebook.

Rescued cow comes running when called by his name
Nigel is one of the loveable characters that have found their second chance at a magical sanctuary called Black Dog Farm and Rescue in Texas. He loves life and he loves the people who run the farm. Jennifer and Jim started this farm out of an extreme love for animals. It began with dogs, and particularly black dogs, who are much more likely to end up abandoned or euthanized than any other dogs. Then came the cats that also needed a loving home. And now, this amazing farm takes in dogs, cats, cows, hens, guinea pigs and any creature who needs love or medical care.
Most of the animals who find their way here are unwanted, or their owners were unwilling or unable to provide the costly care that they require. Some need more effort than anyone else will put into their recovery. But almost every one thrives when it finds its way to this beautiful piece of paradise.
Many of the animals here are made whole again and then taken to carefully selected forever homes. Some have been so badly abused that they need to heal and learn to trust again. When they are ready, they find a new life and a new chance with loving families. And a few will remain here forever, finding that this is where they belong.
Nigel is one of those animals who will always live at Black Dog Farm and Rescue. When the pandemic hit, beef auctions were scarce in Texas and Nigel was no longer valuable to the farmer who owned him. Sadly, Nigel could not stay on a farm where the owner could not afford to feed him for nothing. The farmer approached this rescue and offered him up. It was an act of kindness that this gentle soul truly deserved. And Nigel has never looked back, He even has new best friends here and all his days are happy ones.
Jennifer treats her animals like family and they respond to her gentle words and kind heart. When she calls Nigel, he runs happily to greet her, as we see in this video.
Nigel is a cow full of playfulness and he even has a sense of humour. He is the perfect fit for the rest of the farm family.
Black Dog Farm and Rescue gratefully accepts donations to help them work their little miracles. You can sponsor Nigel or any of the other animals here, or you can simply buy him a nice dinner or a new toy. Find Black Dog Farm and Rescue on Facebook and enjoy the stories and updates, or look into how you can help.

Puppy drags toy bunny into his lair and adorably attacks it
This is Kobe and he is a rescued puppy who has found a second chance at the Black Dog Farm and Rescue in Texas. Kobe is a happy little puppy who doesn't know life outside of this wonderful sanctuary where he lives. He was born here after his mother was found in desperate need of help.
Kobe is showered with love and affection. He has space to explore and to play, as a puppy should be able to do. But life for Kobe wasn't always going to be so perfect. His mother, Faith, had a very tough start in life.
Faith was found abandoned and pregnant, ready to have her pups without any help from anyone. But somebody took pity on her and called Black Dog Farm for help. The owners, Jennifer and Jim rushed out to pick Faith up and bring her to their sanctuary. They found her in a rough neighborhood with a piece of plywood leaning on some bricks for shelter. She was chained in the yard and was obviously getting no affection and very little food. She was days away from giving birth. With a few kind words, Faith was eager to get into a kennel and then into the truck with Jennifer and Jim.
But two miles down the road, Jim pulled over and Jennifer brought Faith up to the front of the truck to sit on her lap. Since that day, Faith goes everywhere on Jennifer's lap. Faith arrived at Black Dog Farm in Texas and made herself at home. She gave birth to 6 beautiful and healthy pups. Despite being less than a year old herself, Faith was a devoted mother to her little family. She nursed them and watched over them protectively as they played and grew. All six pups went on to carefully selected forever homes but Faith had found her forever home right here on the farm. She has become so attached to Jennifer that she just would not thrive anywhere else. And she makes the perfect ambassador at this little piece of Paradise.
Faith's puppy, Kobe, can be seen in this video as he is introduced to a new toy bunny. Kobe is training to be a big, protective dog and he is testing out his ability to growl and drag his toy into his lair where he pretends to devour it. There are few things as adorable as a tiny puppy pretending to be a tough guy!
Black Dog Farm and Rescue can be found on Facebook. They help the most needy and most challenged animals become all that they can be, and all that they deserve. Please follow them and enjoy their stories and posts. And please feel free to support them so that they can continue the amazing work that they do.

Rescued Dog Will Never Give Up Trying To Befriend Grumpy Cats
Faline is a beautiful dog with a personality to match. She has a love for people and all animals and her heart is as big as Texas, where she actually lives, at the Black Dog Farm and Rescue. She tries in the most adorable way to befriend these cats at the farm, as she tries to befriend all of the newcomers. She is like the welcoming committee, even though it is not always as well received as Faline hopes for. Black Dog Farm and Rescue began with Faline. This loveable soul was the first rescue, but she was also doing some rescuing herself.
Jennifer and Jim run the rescue operation and they got Faline out of the need to provide her with a safe home, but also to help their son who suffers with autism. He needed a companion like Faline. Jennifer was also suffering from some health problems and the love that Faline provided instantly made all of their situations much more comfortable. Faline was the perfect fit for their family.
As other animals found their way to Jennifer and Jim's homes, they opened their hearts and began helping cats, dogs and other animals. They were growing and they needed to find a bigger place fix what they had discovered was a bigger problem than first realized. More animals needed shelter and love than they had ever imagined. Faline was doing her job to welcome all the newcomers with charm and enthusiasm that could not have been better.
Jennifer and Jim moved to Texas and opened their farm up to cows, chickens and almost any other animal in need. They take the animals with medical issues or problems that others are not willing or able to help with. It is the most desperate of cases that find their way to this wonderful sanctuary.
In typical fashion for Faline, she can be seen here trying adorably to play with the cats at the farm. She imitates their movements and lifts her paws as if this is a game, but the cats are not as amused as she is. She never gives up and she turns on the charm while she tries to approach them. If they will allow it, she will also cuddle up close for some affection, but that opportunity eludes her most days.
Black Dog Farm and Rescue can be found on Facebook, YouTube and on Rumble. Their posts and videos are heart warming, funny, occasionally sad, but always worth following. And of course, they gratefully accept donations for food and medical care to help them accomplish the magic that happens in this wonderful place.

Cow adorably nudges brother along to get his treats
Benny Nigel and Claire are three very happy cows these days, but it wasn't always this way. They all began their lives on typical farms, where they were destined to become food. Benny and Nigel were born just as Covid hit and meat processing plants were scaling back operations. Farms must run as a business and it was an unfortunate truth that these two beautiful souls were no longer worth the food they eating. The farmer could keep them and lose money, or he could euthanize them and cut his losses. Claire was in a similar situation and she was destined for the slaughterhouse.
Jennifer and Jim run the Black Dog Farm and Rescue in Texas and they heard what was about to happen to Claire, Benny, and Nigel. They couldn't allow the calves to die so they brought them here. These cows are like giant farm puppies and they are loved and valued here. They are treated more like pets or family members, and their future is a long and happy one.
Here, we can see the social dynamics and the friendships that have developed. The cows have personalities that are far more complex and beautiful than most people realize. When it's treat time, Claire actually nudges her brother adorably, seeming to want him to go and get his share. As they gather around the fence, they are as motivated by the affection that is handed out as they are by the crunchy snacks. The cows here learn their names quickly and they come when called. They are eager to interact with the human caregivers. They are also eager to play and interact with each other. This is what happens when a cow is showered with kindness and given the chance to roam and play with enough space and enough food.
At this wonderful sanctuary, animals come here to find the help they need, as well as a forever home. Nigel, Benny, and Claire have been here almost a year and they have been soaking up the love and feasting on the ample supply of food. They have learned to trust their humans completely.
This sanctuary takes in the most needy animals with the most bleak chances at life. For many, this is their last chance at the life that they deserve. Black Dog Farm can be found on Facebook. They do amazing work, which is only possible with the support of friends, family and other animal lovers. Please check out their page and consider helping them do the work that these little creatures so richly deserve.

Goat with disability has very cuddly friendship with rescued cat
These two beautiful animals have found a second chance at the Black Dog Farm and Rescue in Texas. Hemingway is a huge cat with extra toes (polydactyl). He's a 23 pound lovebug who cuddles and sits in laps for as many hours each day as he can get away with. And now, he has found a cuddly friend in Judi, one of the newest arrivals at the sanctuary. She's a tiny, underdeveloped goat who has spastic paresis, a condition that renders her back legs almost useless.
Judi manages to walk on her front legs as if she is doing a handstand. She receives multiple sessions of physiotherapy and massage each day to help with her comfort level.
Because Judi requires so much care, she lives in the house with the dogs and cats. This means that she must wear a doggy diaper to prevent messes. She has become very attached to Hemingway and she nudges him and pokes him with her nose as they cuddle. Hemingway is a gentle soul and he tolerates this very well.
Black Dog Farm and Rescue was created to give the most needy and desperate animals a second chance. They help dogs, cats, cows, goats, chickens, and even guinea pigs. This wonderful farm is a rescue for animals whose treatment would be too costly or too difficult for most people to manage. And they take in their share of animals that are simply unwanted or abandoned by people who never deserved a pet in the first place.
Many animals here are placed in carefully selected forever homes where they receive the love and care that they deserve. Others find their forever home right here. Jim and Jennifer run this sanctuary with their two children. Judi has become so attached to 13 year old Kennedy that she cries pitifully if Kennedy leaves the room, even briefly.
Black Dog Farm and Rescue is active on Facebook and their posts are inspirational, funny, and occasionally sad. But many of the stories are about triumph and love and the good that can be done with determination and a true love for animals. Jennifer and her family have hearts of gold and they accomplish the impossible for these wonderful rescues. They are always grateful for any financial support that is offered.

Massive duck swarm covers entire front lawn when bird feeder is filled
This homeowner in Iowa filled her bird feeder daily for all the little song birds in her neighbourhood. When she added corn, she was in for a surprise. A few ducks found the corn and gobbled it up like they were starving. In fact, they might have been. It was an extremely cold winter and the kind lady with the feeder, Jennifer, knew they needed a little help. Almost right after the first ducks found the food supply, business blossomed. It started with a few, but they told their friends and the friends told the other friends. Soon, word of mouth or rather, "word of beak" got around and it seemed like all the ducks in Iowa were descending on this front lawn to gobble up the seed. Jennifer and her husband were happy to feed them all! They were spending $50 per week on corn and $20 on other seed, but their feathered friends had very little food elsewhere. They began showing up at 7am for breakfast and 5pm for dinner. A few of the originals actually waited at the garage door each morning.
Since this video was recorded, the animal lover residents moved to Texas to realize their dream of opening an animal sanctuary. Jennifer and Jim bought a magical little farm where the saddest and most needy can find the help they need. Most of their rescues are dogs and cats that nobody else could or would care for. Some have staggering medical costs and others just need more care than the average person can provide. Often they need to be nursed back to health with round the clock treatments and feedings. Only the most dedicated of people could manage what they do regularly.
Jennifer and Jim's sanctuary has grown quickly. They have numerous dogs, cats, cows, goats and even a guinea pig and some hens. The whole family is involved in the care and they pour their heart and soul into providing love to those who were going to be at the end of their lives.
There is no such thing as a bad dog, but for some reason, black dogs don't always find homes. They are far more likely to end up in shelters or to be euthanized for lack of a home. Jennifer's farm is aptly named "Black Dog Farm and Rescue" in honour of Faline, their first rescue. She's a beautiful soul who has provided as much love as she has been given. And those who are not wanted elsewhere are wanted here, enough to make up for what they didn't have before. Many of the animals find their way to carefully selected forever homes, but some become permanent residents.
The Black Dog Farm and Rescue has been very grateful for the generosity of other animal lovers, which has helped them with their costs. If anyone wants to help them work their magic for these deserving souls, please find them on Facebook.

Rescued Bull Terrier Attempts To Befriend Grumpy Cat
Faline is a beautiful 3 year old Staffordshire bull terrier who is now living the good life on a wonderful piece of paradise known as Black Dog Farm and Rescue. Faline is the original rescue dog and she believes she is the princess of the farm. But Faline wasn't just being rescued. She was also performing her own sort of rescue.
This farm is run by a woman named Jennifer who has a heart as big as her home state. She and her family have been rescuing the saddest and most needy cases for a few years. When the family's chocolate lab died, they were heart broken. Jennifer's son, Kieran has autism and he was particularly affected by the loss of their family friend. He dreamed that his beloved dog, Riley told him it was ok to get another dog. Faline seemed like she would be the ideal emotional support dog for Kieran. The two of them needed each other.
Faline has been a wonderful fit at this farm and she tries hard to make friends with all of the cats, and with Maggie in particular. Maggie does her best to look angry but she actually tolerates Faline quite well. Dogs come and go on this farm, being nursed back to health, often receiving enormous and costly veterinary care. Sometimes they just need love and attention as much as medical help. When these gentle animals have been mended, they are taken to carefully selected forever homes where they will get the love and care that a dog deserves. Faline loves them all and showers them with attention.
Faline has proven to be a huge comfort for Kieran, and for Jennifer who suffers from a few painful medical conditions. Despite this, she and her husband Jim pour a lot of effort into rescuing dogs, cows, goats, guinea pigs, bunnies, and hens. They don't seem to be able to turn away any animal in need.
This amazing farm is powered by the love of a family, and by donations from family and friends. To become a member, pledge support, or simply to learn more about their amazing animals, visit them on Facebook.

Rescued puppies have a sad story with a beautiful ending
This is a litter of puppies with an incredible story. They have never known anything but the perfect life on the farm where they were born. But it wasn't going to be that way. They were very nearly born into a life of despair, neglect, and abuse.
Faith is the devoted mother of these gorgeous husky/shepherd cross pups. She was found abandoned and pregnant, ready to have her pups without any help from anyone. She acted like an abused and discarded dog. It was as if she was just being forgotten. Faith was just days away from giving birth.
Faith arrived at Black Dog Farm in Texas and made herself at home that first night. She gave birth to these 6 beautiful and healthy pups.
These pups have all found loving families who give them the life that they deserve. They even held a virtual birthday party for the pups when they all reached one year.
Black Dog Farm and Rescue can be found on Facebook. They help the most needy and most challenged animals become all that they can be, and all that they deserve. Please follow them and enjoy their stories and posts. And please feel free to support them so that they can continue the amazing work that they do.

Hungry Kitten Adorably Falls Asleep During His Feeding
These tiny kittens are getting a helping hand at a beautiful animal sanctuary called the Black Dog Farm and Rescue in Texas. This shelter takes in and cares for the most needy and the most neglected animals, like Dougal, a truly adorable little kitten.
He's doing well now, but for Dougal and his family, their story nearly ended in tragedy before they were born. Their mother was an underweight and poorly nourished cat who was allowed to become pregnant far too early in her young life. The owner found her through Facebook, advertised as a "free kitten". But soon after he took her home, she became pregnant. The owner took the mother to a shelter and abandoned her. Life at a shelter is usually short for pregnant cats, and for their babies as they are often the first ones sacrificed to solve the problems of overcrowding and lacking funds. Miraculously, the young mother's story came to the attention of Jennifer and Jim at the Black Dog Farm and Rescue. They couldn't let this mother and her babies be euthanized.
Jennifer and Jim took the cat home and named her Diana, after the author of the popular book and TV series, Outlander. Two weeks later, Diana had her babies, Roger MacKenzie, Jenny Fraser Murray, Claire Beauchamp Fraser, James (Jamie) Alexander MacKenzie, and this sweet soul, Dougal MacKenzie.
Diana was small and she was already struggling. She became very sick and was unable to provide her kittens with enough milk. Jennifer and Jim refused to give up on these adorable babies. Jennifer syringe fed them every two hours for three weeks until they were strong enough to eat gruel (milk replacer). Although their stories nearly ended in the worst way, they are now thriving and growing bigger by the day. Jennifer and Jim have found carefully selected forever homes for each of these beautiful babies. Every one will have a loving family and proper care.
Here, we see Dougal enjoying his feeding and gulping down his dinner. But Dougal is a tired little boy and he can barely keep his eyes open. He's hungry and he's eager to eat, but his eyes are closing, even though his mouth is working hard to fill his tiny belly.
No animal should be treated like Diana was. Black Dog Farm and Rescue continues to do the work they do only because of help and support from animal lovers like them. They refuse to give up on any creature who wants to live. Please support their rescue so they can provide food and medical care to mend beautiful souls like Diana and help them find their forever homes. Highland Cow Runs For Treats And It's Too Adorable
Claire is one of the happiest residents at the Black Dog Farm and Rescue in Texas. She's an adorable young highland cow who has found a safe place and a forever home. She is loving life so much that she actually runs and shakes her head in anticipation when the treats are offered.
These cows live on a magical farm in Texas known as Black Dog Farm and Rescue. It's a place where animals of all kinds find sanctuary and love. Here, they have been living the good life, but it wasn't always so easy for these gentle beasts. Each of them has found their way here due to medical issues of other problems that made them too expensive for their owners to keep them on the farm where they once lived. In the farming world, an animal that costs more than they are valued at must have their time cut short.
But at this wonderful sanctuary, animals come here to find the help they need, as well as a forever home. Claire has been here almost a year and she has been soaking up the love and feasting on the ample supply of food. She and the other cows play and interact with the family that runs this farm. They have learned to trust their humans completely.
Black Dog Farm and Rescue began with Faline, a black pit bull who had been neglected and abandoned. She responded so well to the kind voices and gentle hands of Jennifer and Jim, that they were inspired to do more for the beautiful souls who also need help. They opened their sanctuary in Texas and began doing what seemed impossible. They heal the broken animals and care for the most desperate cases, giving them the chance that they deserve.
Black Dog Farm can be found on Facebook. They do amazing work, which is only possible with the support of friends, family and other animal lovers. Please check out their page and consider helping them do the work that these little creatures so richly deserve.

Rescued calves have a ball learning to drink from a hose
These calves have just found a second chance at life. They were living on a beef farm, destined to end up on a butcher's block within months. But the slaughterhouses in Texas shut down due to Covid 19 and the farmer who owned them was unable to take them to the market. He also knew that he could not afford to feed them indefinitely either. Tragically, an animal that is not marketable is considered a liability on a beef farm, and these two were simply going to be killed and buried.
The owners of Black Dog Farm and Rescue got wind of what was about to happen and they hurried over to the farm to rescue these calves from a horrible fate. They bought the calves from the farmer and took them to their sanctuary. Although they are a financial liability on this farm too, it doesn't matter here in this wonderful piece of paradise.
The ear tags were removed and the calves were given names; Nigel and Benny. They were shown love and affection, given treats and lots of food, and room to run and play. Nigel and Benny responded immediately to the kindness that they were shown, and they were full of joy to be able to run around like giant farm puppies. They chase each other and roll on the ground with joy every day.
And something else that they are learning is how to drink from the hose. They have troughs full of fresh water at all times, but the calves are curious and when they saw the hose they wanted to know what it was all about. Like kids, drinking from the hose on a hot summer day, these two are all for the experience.
Jennifer was a little generous with the spray when it was Benny's turn and he got more than he expected. But Nigel didn't let that ruin his fun!
Black Dog Farm and Rescue takes the most needy and desperate animals and gives them a safe place. Follow them on Facebook, Rumble and YouTube for regular updates.
They are also very grateful for any donations that can be used to help foster animals like Benny and Nigel.

Beautiful transformation of starving dog rescued from euthanasia
Matilda is a beautiful soul who was one of the saddest cases at a shelter in Texas where the kennels were overflowing with abandoned animals. These were dogs and cats with little hope of ever being loved. Somehow, their owners had given up on them or grown tired of the responsibility. Some were simply turned in at the shelter and left to wonder what they might have done wrong. How a loyal pet could be subjected to this heart break and confusion is difficult to imagine. Yet, it happens hundreds of times each day in all states and provinces in North America.
Matilda was a number. She didn't even have a name. She was a young mother, looking after her 5 pups, and refusing to give up on them the way she had been given up on. The shelter could not provide the health care or medical attention that Matilda deserved, and she was covered in feces, mud, and fleas. She had heartworm and her fur was a mess. Matilda's pups were adopted and they all found forever homes, but Matilda herself was a dog who had no chance of finding love. Looking the way she did, nobody was going to see what a beautiful animal she was.
But Matilda was noticed when Jennifer and Jim arrived at this shelter to pick up JJ to take him to their sanctuary, The Black Dog Farm and Rescue. JJ was a kitten who was in desperate need of a home. He had serious medical issues, and sadly, it was too late by the time JJ was rescued. He took his last breaths a few days after arriving at The Black Dog Farm and Rescue. But when Jennifer and Jim picked up JJ, they fell in love with Matilda and they promised her that she would have a home with them. Having heartworm and looking as rough as she did, Jennifer knew this was Matilda's last chance to live. Black Dog Farm was already over their capacity, but they couldn't leave her to die.
Matilda was loaded into the truck and driven two hours to her new rescue. She was given a bath, some food, medical treatment and love. She responded beautifully and her tail wags constantly.
Looking at Matilda now, her beauty is obvious. A dog like her is dramatically transformed when she has a gentle hand a little love.
No animal should be treated like this. Black Dog Farm and Rescue continues to do the work they do only because of help and support from animal lovers like them. They refuse to give up. Please support their rescue so they can provide food and medical care to mend beautiful souls like Matilda and help them find their forever homes. Rescued goat wants to eat all day long!
Floyd is a very happy goat now that he has found his forever home at the Black Dog Farm and Rescue. The other goats here would completely agree with Floyd too. Black Dog Farm and Rescue is a beautiful sanctuary in Texas where the most needy and the most hopeless animals find a second chance at life, love, and a forever home. Most of the animals that land here have been neglected, mistreated, or abandoned in some form until they were found by Jennifer and Jim and their family.
Floyd was found on a very small property where nearly 20 goats shared less than 1/8th of an acre to graze and exercise. It's heart breaking to see animals so crowded and the stress that they experience under such conditions causes many health and psychological issues. It's cruelty to keep goats in a tiny enclosure.
Floyd had grown big and was no longer cute enough for his owner. He was destined to end up wherever she could dump him and his life would be over soon after. As Jennifer and Jim negotiated for Floyd's freedom, it became clear that the rest of the goats needed to be rescued as well. Finn and Fergus were two males that were not needed because the owner had another male for breeding. They were considered worthless and disposable. They were added to the escape plan.
The goat owner mentioned that "Roweena" was too crabby and no longer needed for breeding, so she was up for adoption. With the agreement that Roweena's daughter, "Fiona" be included, the owner reluctantly agreed. Fiona was worth keeping, but the package arrangement was agreeable. Roweena was worth less than nothing.
Two more were headed for auction in the coming days and they were scooped up and named "Ronnie and Reggie Kray, after the legendary London mobsters of the 1950s. (All animals at Black Dog Farm and Rescue receive wonderful and imaginative names.)
Two more goats had been bought as a 4H project and were suddenly unwanted. The "warden" of the little farm let them be included in this "prison break".
In order to get rid of the unwanted animals, a few others were included and there were a total of 9 goats in the getaway vehicle when all was said and done.
These goats enjoy nutritious food, ample room to run and play, and a parkour construction for mental stimulation. They respond to their names and they enjoy grazing freely in the sunshine. They have even been microchipped, as true pets often are. The goats enjoy visitors and a grocery delivery man who comes to the farm enjoys giving them treats and petting them on his rounds.
These goats have long and healthy lives ahead of them,. And they even have a family.
Black Dog Farm and Rescue seeks the perfect forever homes for all of their rescues and they carefully match animals to loving forever homes. Or else the animals simply don't leave. The most needy and comples cases will often find their forever homes here, in this little piece of heaven.
They opened their sanctuary in Texas and began doing what seemed impossible. They heal the broken animals and care for the most desperate cases, giving them the chance that they deserve.
Black Dog Farm and Rescue (Texas) can be found on Facebook. They do amazing work, which is only possible with the support of friends, family and other animal lovers. Please check out their page and consider helping them do the work that these little creatures so richly deserve.

Goat With Neurological Damage Jumps For Joy At Sanctuary
Judi is a goat who was born with neurological problems that made it impossible for her to walk or lead a normal life. Destined to be bred profit, she would be of no use on her original farm. She had not yet known the joy of sunshine on her face, or running in a meadow. Miraculously, she was found by Jennifer and Jim who run the Black Dog Farm and Rescue in Texas. She was taken home, fed by hand, and given a new chance at life.

Judi required daily massages and rehabilitative therapy to keep her legs muscles from atrophying. The discomfort of taking even a few assisted steps in the early days left her exhausted and in need of a lot of TLC. But, with consistent effort and a gradual increase in her exercise, Judi learned to stand, then to walk unaided. She saw the other animals running and she was eager to keep up. With encouragement and support, Judi is now able to run around, even though it slow and clumsy, in comparison with the other goats here.
But Judi doesn't care how she looks when she romps and plays. Here, she is excited to see her human friends return to the yard and she tries to leap with joy. She lands awkwardly and completely loses her balance, but that does not deter this amazing little goat. She rights herself and runs toward her rescuers with happiness.

Cat Desperately Tries to Befriend Rescued Goat
Lucy, a very friendly cat is trying her best to welcome Judi, a new arrival at the Black Dog Farm and Rescue. Lucy is part of a litter of three kittens that arrived at this sanctuary in Texas when they were just three days old. Unwanted and uncared for, Lucy and her litter mates were abandoned and left to die. Without their mother, or human intervention, they would not have made it through the night. Jennifer and Jim took them in at the Black Dog Farm and Rescue, knowing that they would need frequent bottle feedings around the clock. This is what they do at Black Dog and Jennifer and Jim are no strangers to the night shifts.
Lucy has thrived here and she is often referred to as "Parkour Kitty" for her habit of climbing anything from ledges and railings to Christmas trees.
Lucy also considers herself the ambassador of Black Dog Farm and she tries to befriend and welcome all creatures. She will cuddle with anything warm, even a got like Judi.
Judi is new here and she has some very big challenges. She suffers from neurological damage and she needs a lot of physiotherapy and extra help. Even walking is difficult without assistance, but her legs are getting stronger with exercise and massage. Judi is an indoor goat so she wears a diaper to help with her hygiene. As she settled in at her new home, Lucy decided she would try to engage in a friendly game or two. She began patting Judi wherever she could reach. Judi is a little suspicious of the attention at this point so her response to this is a headbutt.
It only took Judi a few days to get used to cuddling with cats as we can see. Very soon after Lucy's welcome, Judi was sharing a couch on the front porch with Hemingway, a 23 pound cuddly cat who has found a forever home at this beautiful animal paradise.
Black Dog Farm and Rescue accepts some of the neediest and most desperate animals. Many are permanently adopted, and some move on. But every single animal that comes into their care will be provided a carefully selected forever home, or they simply never leave.
The farm is a wonderful place with acres for the animals to run and play. They are provided with vet care and excellent nutrition.
Socialization and mental stimulation are important here as well, and the animals thrive and respond well to the kindness and love that they find here.
Please look them up on Facebook and follow the heart warming stories or see what you can do to help them accomplish the magic that they make happen for these deserving souls.

Curious cows have adorable reaction to the latest sanctuary arrival
These curious cows live on a magical farm in Texas known as Black Dog Farm and Rescue.
Nigel, Benny, and Claire have been here almost a year and they have been soaking up the love and feasting on the ample supply of food. They play and they interact with the family that runs this farm. They have learned to trust their humans completely.
These three cows are understandably curious when a new arrival comes to the sanctuary. Walter is a tiny calf who suffers from dwarfism, a flattened face, and an upward turned patella. He came from the farm across the road where his days were numbered. His conditions and the care he would require were going to be overwhelming for the farmer, but Jennifer, Jim and her family knew that they could provide all the support that this little fellow needed at their sanctuary. They brought Walter home and his second chance at life began. Understandably, he misses his mother and he is frightened and feeling alone. As he cries in the barn and his mother calls out from across the road, Walter's new farm family has come to greet him and check him out. They approach with adorable curiosity and some hesitation.
This little creature is loud and he is very strange to the other cows. But very soon, he will be welcomed and treated like royalty. His life here will be long and happy and he will always be among friends.
Black Dog Farm can be found on Facebook. They do amazing work, which is only possible with the support of friends, family and other animal lovers. Please check out their page and consider helping them do the work that these little creatures so richly deserve.

Bulldog adorably struggles to stay awake in kitchen chair
Odin is a beautiful soul who has found his forever home with a loving family that treats him extremely well. Odin feels so well loved and so comfortable that he climbs up on his favourite kitchen chair just to be close to his family when they gather around the table. But Odin has had a big day of playing and running around. He is tired now and he struggles adorably to keep his eyes open. He wants to drift off and sleep, but he’s not ready to get down off his chair and go to his bed quite yet.
Odin's family can’t resist pulling out the camera to record such a comical moment as he fights to keep his eyelids from lowering. He has even started to gently snore as he gets more tired.
Odin is a very lucky dog but not all dogs find such loving families as he has. Many dogs are abandoned and neglected and they find their way to shelters where they wait for love to find them. Black Dog Farm and Rescue in Texas is among the best shelters in North America. They take in the most needy and most hopeless cases, providing them with adequate love and care, along with medical treatment so that those gentle souls can find a soft place to land. As they wait for adoption, they are mended and trained, loved and pampered, and they learn to trust again. Some will stay at the farm forever and many others will be placed in carefully selected homes.
The people at Black Dog Farm and Rescue work miracles, refusing to give up on any animal that also refuse to give up. Black Dog Farm can be found on Facebook. They do amazing things, which is only possible with the support of friends, family and other animal lovers. Please check out their page and consider helping them do the work that these little creatures so richly deserve.

Rescued Goat Preciously Reacts To Meeting Her Human At School
Judie is a rescue goat who was never meant to live a full life as she is. She was born with serious neurological issues and would require veterinary care and attention that the farmer who owned her could not give her. Judi was a goat who was bred for profit and this rendered her useless. But Jennifer and Jim, who own an animal sanctuary called Black Dog Farm and Rescue (Texas) found her and they knew that she deserved a chance to run and play in a meadow and to feel the warmth of the sunshine on her face. They brought Judi back to their sanctuary and worked with her daily to help her walk and gain strength.
Judi needs physical therapy, massage, veterinary care, and love from a gentle hand. Judi immediately bonded with Jennifer and Jim's daughter , Kennedy and the two became inseparable. Judi became accustomed to having Kennedy around all day and she became upset when Kennedy left for school in the fall each day.
Jennifer decided to bring Judi to school to meet Kennedy. She might have been the only goat to be chauffeured to school to meet her person. Judi lets out a bleat of delight when she sees Kennedy approaching and the two friends greet each other through the window in the most adorable way.
Kennedy is not sure if she is forgiven for being away at school and leaving Judi behind. She thinks Judi has her ears back out of resentment. But a little cuddle time on the back porch at home assures Kennedy that all is forgiven as Judi falls asleep contentedly.

Rescued Goat Loves Chasing Her Family
Judi is a beautiful soul who was given a second chance at life when she found her way to Black Dog Farm and Rescue in Texas. She has neurological damage that made walking impossible for her in her first months. Yet, here she is chasing one of the young family members at this wonderful sanctuary. This is playtime for Judi and she loves this time as much as anything. Her version of winning the game is to catch Kennedy, her best friend, and headbutt her. Judi responds when Kennedy tags her and she runs after Kennedy, kicking up her legs with great enthusiasm. When she is chased, Judi will also run away, understanding that she must avoid being tagged. Judi is so attached to Kennedy that she bleats and calls when Kennedy is not near.
Judi's condition is known as spastic paresis. At one year of age, she also has arthritis and a severely limited range of motion. Her front legs barely bend.
Jennifer and Jim run this sanctuary, along with help from their children. Together, they provide Judi with massage and physiotherapy. After proper treatment, Judi actually feels well enough to play and jump with joy. Judi has responded well to treatment and has found ways to move and to get up on her feet, or to lie down, despite her limb and neurological troubles. Judi loves life and she loves the other animals here on the farm. Judi spends her days with the animals but she comes indoor at night. She has her own bed and access to food and water, just like the dogs and cats that also stay inside. Judi's bed is beside Kennedy's so that she can sleep with her best friend. Judi is friends with everyone at the Black Dog Farm, including the cats and Louis, a rescued bunny.
The progress that Judi has made is both amazing and heart warming. With love and the dedication of her human saviors, Judi is thriving. This farm takes in the most needy and most desperate cases. They work miracles, refusing to give up on any animal that also refuse to give up. Black Dog Farm can be found on Facebook. They do amazing work, which is only possible with the support of friends, family and other animal lovers. Dwarf Calf Still Loves His Treats A Year After Being Rescued
Walter is a calf who was not meant to live. He is a sweet soul who had so many disadvantages that he was called 'hopeless' by the beef farmer who owned him. Farmers can't afford to keep an animal who will need more help than he is valued at. It's understandable that Walter couldn't stay, but one look at his beautiful face would tell anyone that he deserved a life and proper care, despite his health problems.
Walter was born with dwarfism, improper facial bone development, neurological issues and joint pain. He was going to need a lot of care, and he was going to b more trouble than he was worth for the farmer who owned him. The cost of vet care would quickly exceed the profit that he would bring and Walter was called a 'liability'. He was scheduled to be put down immediately, as if he was simply the number on his ear tag.
But Walter had been born on a farm across the road from a wonderful animal sanctuary called Black Dog Farm and Rescue. This family takes in the hopeless and the most needy creatures and mends them, giving them love, proper care, and a chance to find a forever home. Walter will always need a little extra love and more care than most people can give, so he will live out his days here with his new friends, Benny, Nigel, and Claire. They are the other rescued cows who call this home. Walter's number tag has been removed and he has a name. He gets treats, food, playtime, and even a good wash when he needs it to keep him clean and healthy.
Walter is a nervous little man, weighing half what he should at his age, but he will eventually grow bigger and stronger. He has fit in nicely with the other animals here and he will enjoy companionship and more space than he would ever have on his first farm. On his first night, he could be heard sadly bellowing for his mother who called back from the farm across the road. The two were distraught to be separated when Walter was only a few days old. But Walter's mother would be relieved if she could understand that Walter has a second chance now and he will be well cared for.
Black Dog Farm and Rescue does incredible work, but it is only possible through the generosity of friends, family, and donations from animal lovers who want to make a difference. Find Black Dog Farm and Rescue on Facebook to follow their adventures. And please consider helping them with a gift that will put food in the trough for sweet souls like Walter.

Dogs React With Complete Joy When Garden Hose Appears
These are two dogs with an incredible story. They have never known anything but the perfect life on the farm where they were born. But it wasn't going to be that way. They were very nearly born into a life of despair, neglect, and abuse. Looking at their playful and joyful personalities, you would never know how close they came to such a different existence.
Jennifer has brought out the hose to fill some water buckets for the animals on a hot day. When the dogs showed great interest in the hose, she decided to play some water games with them. Their reaction was beautiful.
Faith is the devoted mother of these gorgeous husky/shepherd cross pups. She was found abandoned and pregnant, ready to have her pups without any help from anyone. She acted like an abused and discarded dog. It was as if she was just being forgotten. Faith was just days away from giving birth.
Faith arrived at Black Dog Farm in Texas and made herself at home that first night. She gave birth to these 6 beautiful and healthy pups.

Rescued puppy tries so hard to befriend unimpressed cat
This is Kobe, a brave little rescued puppy who is full of enthusiasm and joy, and he wants to make friends with everyone. The cat, however, not so much...
Kobe was one of the first in the litter to try his luck with the much larger, Alfie, also a rescue with a heart warming story. Alfie had been dumped at a high kill shelter in Houston, abandoned by a family that forgot how to be loyal to such a loving soul. Alfie also had a snapped femur, which was unexplained at the time.
Alfie was going to need expensive surgery and care and despite being handsome and charming, he was not going to be adopted.
But Alfie was found by Black Dog Farm and Rescue in Texas. He was affectionate and loving from the moment he was picked up. Even through his surgeries and recoveries, all he wanted was love, and he had plenty to give back.
Black Dog Farm and Rescue provides homes for dogs, cats, cows, hens, and other animals. They take on the most costly and desperate cases, reluctant to give up on anything that wants to live. And animals like these, who haven't given up on people.
Kobe never knew life before Black Dog Farm. He was born on this farm when his mother, Faith was brought here, pregnant and needing love and care. Faith was a devoted mother who cared for her babies like a true mother. Alfie watched the puppies grow and they grew on him too. Kobe and Alfie have become extremely good friends. They play constantly, always being careful to never hurt the other.
Black Dog Farm runs, in part, due to the generosity and support of animal lovers around the world. Follow them on Rumble, YouTube, Facebook and please, consider making a contribution that helps them perform their miracles. They would love your support, no matter how much or how little.
