Gorilla is Bananas... Im His Target!!! Over And Over Again from beginning to end of this video he runs and bashes into this super thick window every time I turn around. First a ruNing bash, then a fake out, then a slow stalking walk, lingering behind me. As I get down to leave he gets up so I return and he looks as if he may wonder off, but not so fast. This is often one of his tricks. Acting as if he is no longer paying attention, wandering off a bit, picking up something to put in his mouth only to return with as much energy as in the very first burst he makes in this clip. Crazy Athletic Silverback Taps Window with His Teeth to Get to Me Then Jumps On Top! He's The King of The World!! Or at least Omaha!! You've NEVER seen anything like this before. Kijito is QUITE the charachter. Gentle and observant if he has small children around otherwise he can be a very ornery and active 20 year old. We had been visiting regularly and boy does he like to pick on me. Here he tosses handfuls of sod beneath my window then takes a seat behind the large bubble window I'm laying back in. He then starts rapidly tapping his teeth on the window over and over getting frustrated like a child trying to open a plastic egg out of a quarter machine. The looks he gives me... I couldnt help but laugh. He was so curios and trying so hard to gain access (tried to open the window hinge earlier like a door latch) Then as I start to think he's going to wander off he makes an incredibly athletic leap to the top of my window declaring his "ownership"? Lol we have never seen him do this before or since. Please forgive the portion of the video where my husband runs to another part of the building to get a better view. It was worth it. Nothing short of amazing.

Pregnant Giraffe Training: Blood Draws 101 and We Got To Help!! The Race is on for Giraffe Baby 200 at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs. They have not one but TWO pregnant giraffes, Muziki and Laikipia. Both having mated within the same week early last year. So who will go into labor first near the end of April 2018? We dont know... But we now know how they train their expectant mothers for upcoming blood draws! We wandered into the exhibit just in time to be asked to help provide a distraction for the other females that weren't in need of this training. Tim was happy to oblige in feeding so many handfuls of romaine lettuce and rye cracker treats to the single ladies while I watched zoo staffers use targets, clickers, needless syringes along with touch of hand to guide the soon-to-be new mothers and get them used to the upcoming procedures.

An Elephant Fart Wouldn't Sound That Cute!! No Its Elephants "Purring"... After this elephant finishes stripping the bark from her log she starts walking laps in her enclosure... At about 1:38 I think I'm hearing something... Then my husband says she farted!! He heard it too but I didnt think Id been hearing continual back and forth farting between 2 elephants. Its difficult at times to hear over the commotion of the zoo guests but you can most certainly hear these ladies rumbling back and forth sounding like massive deep purring

Gorilla Snacks On Snowball, Throws It At Another & Gets Flipped Off!! This video starts off simply enough... A female western lowland gorilla grabs herself a handful of snow for an early March treat. We were delighted, had never had the chance to see that before! Pretty cool!! But just after she settles in near the window, another female emerges from the enclosure upright and running by. As she does so, the snowball becomes a weapon as it is flung towards the newcomer. Running away herself, disappearing from the scene not catching the "bird" the other gorilla throws right back at her.

When Gorillas Use Teamwork!! Tatu and Kijito teamed up on us. Tatu provides distraction approaching our window working some grass between his lips, then sliding in front of us across the entire window. He slips out of the way only for us to see Kijito make his charge straight for us striking the window with such incredible force. (It's multipaned he can't break through although he has cracked one layer before) We've seen them many times and know their behavior, we saw this coming and told others to stick around for a moment to witness the action. No, we never hit the window or beat our chests for their attention. It's all recognition. And it's amazing.

Tim thought he'd snag a selfie with Kijito in the background while at the zoo, but it appears that this gorilla is also sick and tired of people taking selfies. What a crazy reaction!

Viral Photo Bomb Gorilla Decides NOT To Scare A Child... Listen to the commentary starting @ :50 as the man recording tells another zoo guest what the gorilla is preparing to do. His comments are spot on. The action at 1:50 proves the so-called vicious, mean and angry Gorilla thinks about his actions knowing that he will generate a response. But maybe not the one he had originally intended. This incident occurred just before Tim captured the viral "Gorilla attacks selfie man" footage the same day.

Imagine going to the ZOO to visit all those exotic animals, only to have a 375 pound male gorilla lunge at you in his enclosure! That is what Kijito, the oldest silverback male at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha did, repeatedly - we might add - at the visitors in the gorilla enclosure. He sure likes to show that he is the alpha! Glass or not, that thing is scary! The man in the video doesn’t seem fazed at all by what the huge mammal is trying to achieve, but Kijito sure seems confused that he can’t reach his distant cousin on the other side. According to the ZOO’s CEO and executive director, the visitors aren’t doing anything to provoke the <a href="https://rumble.com/v483j7-youngster-gorillas-fight-then-dad-shows-up.html" target="_blank">gorillas</a>. “It’s just what male gorillas do. They just exude that dominance and they want to show that any way they can, and they make a lot of noise doing it." The clip shows the man looking at the male, as he is deep in thought, when suddenly the gorilla jumps at the glass and smacks himself senseless. Apparently, this is not unusual behavior for Kijito - about a year ago, the dude managed to slam himself so hard against a window, the glass pane cracked, but luckily didn't shatter. No one was injured.
