Our friends at Etter's SKOL Ranch offer an Air BNB bird feeding experience for their guests and this cheeky little fellow is one of their many golden mantle chipmunks that arrive to say hi and seek out peanuts and other treats to store away for their Colorado winter.

These ancestors of the mining donkeys from the gold rush days still roam the streets of Cripple Creek Colorado springs through fall. They get kept in a pasture with shelter for the winter. We visited them today and brought some treats

We were having so much fun playing catch in the snow with this cute Australian Cattle Dog, we didn't see it in there until it was in the air and the snow fell off. But this rough and tumble pup shook off the surprise and kept on playing. No, he wasn't hurt at all. Just enjoying another early winter day.

Feisty Cat's Blanket Sneak Attack On Other Cat. Koko is wound up this afternoon. Calamity Jane thought she'd noticed something funny about the blanket we hung in the doorway for the winter. Little did she know Koko was on the other side waiting for the right moment to attack.

Young Buck Mule Deer Walks Right Up To Me as I Try to Keep A Little Distance Between Us. We had gone up to Etter's Skol Ranch for some late November Disc Golf. It was a bluebird sky, light breeze, a beautiful day and Tim had just thrown a few practice discs at hole 1. Then from just behind us came this group of mule deer. And I'll be darned if that spikey young Buck didn't just walk right up on me. I was trying to see where I was to back up nice and slow. You can hear Tim remind me of a small log bench I could get behind, but it wasn't much of a barrier. The deer was docile enough at the moment but I didn't want to take any chances.

These two ornery Siamang Monkeys pick on a giant male orangutan. Pulling his hair makes him swat at them with cardboard he has picked up and chases after them a bit.

Our Manx is a tailless cat only having a little bobbed nub to offer next to no balance or support, so sometimes, unless she has something to snag with her claws, she just doesnt have the balance to pull off the simplest of cat behaviours... even with a tote for extra height!! Fortunately she has many places in here in which to do so but not the window. She spotted a young squirrel in the tree and wanted a closer look but just couldnt make the leap... poor girl.

Black Rhinos are incredible powerful and very endangered animals. I'll probably never make it on an African Safari so when we happened to be around just in time and on the right day for the Rhino experience I had to take advantage of the opportunity to feed this big guy a couple of carrot sticks. He's gorgeous. I was in total awe when I got so close... Stunning creeature
