Actor and comedian Robert Bacon has completely recreated the New York City subway map as a Super Mario World theme. Bacon wrote on his blog that it took him two months to make the 16-bit pixel by pixel recreation. Mapping the New York City subway system with its 840 miles of track and more than 450 stations was sure a demanding task.

If you want to find a new way to explore the New York City subway map re-imagined with a Super Mario World theme, try out the new pixel by pixel 16 bit version of the New York City subway map which is available in two sizes, 18x24 and 24x32 in a poster for sale via RIPT Apparel. Maps of major city subway systems designed in the style of Super Mario are available. The fixed paths and levels look like routes and stations. A rush hour subway commute can feel being like Mario running up and down the tube, kicking turtle-like creatures and carnivorous plants.

This is a cool way to explore the entire underworld of Mario and stroll up and down the well-known streets of New York City while humming the Mario theme song. You can find a link in the description.
