Bearded dragon shares special friendship with puppy

Buddy the adorable puppy met Blaze the red bearded dragon today and he was just so sweet and gentle with her. They exchanged kisses and just hung out with each other for ages! Blaze is a two year old Red Bearded Dragon Lizard. She is a female and is normally quite a shy reptile, but when she met Buddy the dog was very calm and even seemed to like him. She kept walking towards him and just hung out with him for a long time. She even gave him a few kisses! Buddy is a Welsh Collie and is now 7 months old. His owners can't believe how gentle he was around Blaze. He seemed to understand that she was fragile and kept carefully lying beside her, making sure not to hurt her. Their owners were very careful when they first introduced them since they didn't know how either would react, and they will off course always supervise them. What an unusual friendship, who would have thought it!

Wild iguana comes running for red peppers41s

Wild iguana comes running for red peppers

Cayman Islands were originally named after the sea turtles that inhabited the area but the name was later changed to Cayman Islands due to the presence of large lizards that dominated the landscape. Early explorers were actually seeing iguanas but they mistook them for caymans, a member of the alligator family. The native iguanas are large burrowing lizards that grow to an impressive three feet in length. With large claws and formidable teeth, a full grown iguana does not have many predators. They are omnivores, eating mainly vegetables, but they will happily eat birds, rodents, insects and even other lizards if the opportunity presents itself. These iguanas have become accustomed to humans because they reside near a research station and have been handled frequently in the course of studies and research that will ultimately assist in conservation and protection of the species. They have learned that humans will not harm them and can occasionally be a source of food. This giant beast comes running when he sees brightly colored red pepper slices in a bag. Attracted to brightly colored fruits and vegetables, he knows what the man has is likely delicious. Unless provoked, these lizards are gentle and have no reason to bite or attack people. If he is picked up however, he will turn into a savage bundle of claws and teeth and he will thrash and whip his powerful tail at any threat. Rows of pointed scales make his tail an effective weapon and it is enough to deter most animals. This lizard has been tagged with colored beads through the loose skin on his neck. The combination of the color and location of the beads can be used to identify him from a distance when researchers gather data about their mating and feeding habits. This information is crucial to protecting their habitat and predicting the effect of development on their populations.

Rabbit digging deep burrow reverses out when called1m01s

Rabbit digging deep burrow reverses out when called

Chikku is a very smart rabbit. She is eight months old and lives in Garhwa, India. You wouldn't expect a rabbit to be so well trained that it would come when called, but Chikku understands her name and responds. It's even more impressive that she does this even when she is in the middle of digging a deep burrow in the earth. Chikku can be seen here as she tunnels through soft dirt. Her owner, Mayank, recorded her as she began making a burrow in the garden in front of their home. She had dug quickly through the soil and was in a tunnel a few feet deep. We can see her back end as she busily scoops out dirt and pushes it behind her. She is an adorable sight as her little tail wiggles at the other end of the tunnel. She is working furiously but Mayank calls her and whistles. Amazingly, Chikku recognizes the call and scampers out of the hole backwards. She pops out and gives Mayank a look that seems to question why he disturbed her when she was so hard at work. As if deciding that it's break time she takes a few steps away from the hole, possibly done for the moment. Chikku is a wonderful family pet, spending most of her time in the house. She sleeps in a large cage that acts as her indoor den, although she has full run of the house during the day. She loves rice and pulses, which are a type of lentil. Blended together with a hint of spice, this is a delicious meal for a well loved little rabbit. After a good feast of her favorite food, she likes to stretch out in the garden in the front of the house and have a nap. Chikku is a very happy rabbit and her antics entertain the family.

Duck Greets His Best Friend Everyday After School40s

Duck Greets His Best Friend Everyday After School

They say that dogs are man's best friend, but we think it might be time to consider adding ducks to the list too! When you see this adorable duck waiting at the bus stop for his eight year old best friend to arrive home from school, you will no doubt believe that ducks can be a man's best friend, too! As the young boy walks towards the patiently awaiting duck, you can see the giant smile on the boy’s face. He kneels down towards the duck, and the happy bird immediately starts quacking his hellos. The duck bows his head and waits to be pat, which the boy does lovingly. Watch as the duck wags his tail like a dog and gently nibbles at the boy’s pant leg as it wanted to say "Where have you been all day long? I have been standing here waiting for you to come back!" As soon as he gets his loving face from the boy, he turns around and starts leading him up the driveway safely back home. The boy walks and the duck waddles all the way up the driveway in a routine that they have done together for a long time. Everyday around three o'clock, the duck knows that his best friend will be arriving home from school and boogies down the driveway to where the school bus will be dropping him off. Every day the boy greets the duck with a welcoming pat on the head, and the two make their way back to the farm house for dinner. This duck is a male Mallard Duck that can be found in North America, Eurasia, North Africa and has recently been introduced to New Zealand, Australia, Peru, Brazil, South Africa and many other areas around the world. Male mallards like this one have bright, shiny green heads and are grey on the wings and belly. Unlike a lot of other species of waterfowl, the Mallard sometimes cause grave concern since they are actually considered an invasive species in some regions. They are a very adaptable species as they can live in most climates. The Mallard are omnivores and are very flexible in their food choices and can eat a very large variety of food. They typically get their food by pecking around in the water and grazing in fields. They have also been known to each frogs and small fish. There are also some reports from Romania of a flock of Mallards hunting and eating small migratory birds. Ducks of all species and sizes must deal with a wide diversity of predators such as snakes, raccoons, opossums, skunks, large fish and even turtles. The most dangerous predator to a Mallard Duck is the common fox . It is good that this lucky ducky has found such a safe and caring home to live in with a best friend that obviously loves and him will take care of him. Baby Owl Sings Along With Its Owner1m07s

Baby Owl Sings Along With Its Owner

Having a pet owl could possibly be the coolest sidekick on the planet, but having a singing owl that will belt out duets with you while you do your kitchen housework it priceless! Listening to these two sing together will surely make your day and make you want to go out and get a singing owl of your own! Check out this dynamic duo sing a tune together. Every time the lady sings a melodic tune, the owl chirps in, singing the same part every time over and over again. At first, you just hear the beautiful melody of a lady singing a nice little song as her pet owl is perched on the windowsill, looking out at the world. As soon as she starts singing, the owl looks right at her as if to say "I love this song!" He patiently waits for his part, and comes in with a "ooowww ooowww" perfectly on time! Every time, right before it is his turn to sing, he looks at her for approval to make sure it is time to shine! As the song continues, the beautiful owl starts to walk toward his singing owner and nibble on her fingers and continue singing this amazing duet! The owl finally jumps up on her laid out hand and enjoys a nice petting while being sang to. The bond between these two is so obviously special. The owl's owner starts singing "I love you" and the owl just stares into her eyes lovingly while enjoying being pet and sang to. The singing owl you see in this video is a horned owl, with its large puffy ears and big yellow eyes . The best way to identify a horned owl is by the large, thick bodies and the two feathered tufts on the top of its head. Usually, great horned owls are nocturnal and sleep all day. But this owl has been domesticated and as you can see here is not only away during the lights hours, but has enough energy to pull off a singing duet with his owner. The great horned owl is also commonly called the tiger owl because of their beautiful and unique markings. Their color changes with the season, as well as by the area that each individual owl resides in. This species of owl lives primarily in America and Canada and can be seen throughout the entire year. The call of a great horned owl is usually a deep stuttering series of four or five hoots, but in this song, he is clearly and consistently singing two hoots each time he joins his owner. This shows that singing this song may be a trick that the owner has taught him or something he just learned on his own, trying to mimic his owner when she sings. We could listen to this beautiful and incredibly unique duet all day long and would love to hear more than just this one song! Have you ever seen an animal that could sing? Tell us about it in the comments.

Baby Parrot Joins Human For Pool Time Fun32s

Baby Parrot Joins Human For Pool Time Fun

Quite possibly the most adorable thing gracing the internet, this precious little baby cockatoo truly makes you let out an uncontrollable “Awwwwwwww!!!!” This is a very young baby cockatoo. As far as we can tell, it seems to be a Corella Cockatoo. The little angel in this video is just so cute as it tries to get to its daddy, who is relaxing in their backyard pool. It paces the side of the pool, trying to figure out how to get to its owner, but cannot seem to quite figure it out. Daddy comes to the rescue quickly, lifting his arm up to the little doll to act as a type of a “bridge.” The baby Cockatoo climbs onto his arm and makes its way to his shoulder. It does not stay very long, though. Maybe it reached dad’s shoulder and then looked around to realize it was completely surrounded by water and decided to go back. Dad, being a loving parent, gently glides it back over to the side of the pool. Even though the video stops there, if this little baby is anything like all other cockatoos, we can tell you what would have happened next: It would have paced the side of that pool again, and wanted to climb back over there on dad’s shoulder again. Then it would have wanted to go back to the concrete, and what’s next? Lather, Rinse, Repeat! Cockatoos are known for repeating behaviors and not being able to make up their minds! They are hilarious little creatures, and they are so much fun to be around. Cockatoos and other large parrot species are extremely intelligent and intuitive. They become very attached to their primary handler, often times even mistaking the handler for their mate. Because of this, many people consider these creatures to be one person animals, and some recommend that they are the only pet in the household as well. However, if they are trained from a young age to be used to being around other pets, they tend to do just fine. Even if you have 3 dogs and 4 cats living all together with a Cockatoo, believe it or not, they will all become close buddies! That means having a hilarious party at home. Cockatoos, and most other parrot species, tend to really like water. This is actually surprising to most people because they are birds, and most do not expect birds to enjoy water so much. They do, though! The cutest part of this video to us, though, is the little “head twirl” that the little one shows us! Cockatoos are famous for these little twirls where they dip their head and spin around. There are not enough descriptive words in the English language to describe this adorable little spinning action!!! They also usually let out a little “whoop” sound effect mid-twirl, which just adds to the cuteness! Oh my, we are just overloading on warm and fuzzy feelings! There is just nothing cuter than a baby Cockatoo and its moves and sound effects!!!

Friendly Raccoons Visit Deck Every Morning For Snacks13s

Friendly Raccoons Visit Deck Every Morning For Snacks

Everyone has their morning routine. You know, get out of bed, make coffee, take a hot shower, feed your raccoons! What....what? Every morning, these friendly and adorable raccoons come up on the porch looking for their breakfast of fresh fruits . They are no longer afraid of humans, and have become a part of the family, sharing a meal together every morning on the back porch! These raccoons have almost become like pets to these people, and who wouldn't want such cute and adorable pets? They seem completely calm and domesticated, nibbling on their chopped apples and bananas. We wouldn't advise bringing them inside though. Many people think that owning a wild animal as a pet would be fun and exciting, however, it can be quite a dangerous task, bringing them inside your home and introducing them to your family. Although it is possible to domesticate a raccoon, keeping one as a pet may be illegal in your area, and you can get into a lot of trouble and be issued fines for housing them. If you are serious about raising a pet raccoon, first check with your state or provincial laws to find out if you are even permitted to have one. it is advised to obtain one from a qualified breeder, which are not easy to find. Raccoons are mischievous creatures by nature, spending most of their time scavenging, playing and generally creating havoc wherever they go. They have sharp claws and sharp teeth and are unpredictable creatures, which is why it is usually inadvisable and illegal to have them as pets. Raccoons will completely destroy your home if left unattended, and are not good with other animals such as dogs and cats. They may seem fine and relaxed one minute and completely out of control and panicky the next. They are still wild animals, and should always be treated like ones. Raccoons have large appetites and tend to eat a very large variety of food. Here we see them eating fresh fruits with their hands like humans, but they will eat just about anything the come across. They will eat things like dog food, various types of insects, vegetables, fruits, and protein sources like chicken. They will also eat anything that they find in the garbage can or out of your cooler. Having flexible thumbs helps them get into most containers and they have even been known to be able to open up doors and come into your garage. Keeping food in a fridge won't even keep out a racoon if they get the smell of delicious food in there. Feeding these raccoons every morning might seem like a good idea, however, if they come for their breakfast one morning and there is nothing left for them, they might retaliate and create damage or try and get into the house through the screen door and make an attempt to feed themselves. Wild Life Authorities have caution against feeding wild animals because they might become overly intrusive and dependent on humans as a food source, loosing their natural ability for hunt for food themselves.

You may ask yourself, “How can adorable dogs and cats and action scenes all be combined into one video?” This precious, adorable video is the perfect video for you if you enjoy watching cute pets being playful. In this video, you will find a precious dog and a feisty cat paw and play with each other while hearing the theme music to “Rocky” in the background. Who doesn’t love adorable cats and dogs? Even more, who doesn’t love adorable cats and dogs playing? With the Rocky theme music playing in the background, the view is able to imagine these two adorable pets in a boxing ring going at it. We could even picture these two adorable animals with bright red boxing gloves on their paws during this precious moment caught on camera. For animal lovers and animal owners, it is definitely proof that dogs and cats can live harmoniously under one roof. Although they are play fighting, it is so sweet to watch how gentle the dog is with the cat. He carefully makes sure that he is gentle enough to not harm the cat, but keeps up the banter by continuously gnawing at the annoyed cat. The best part is knowing that the cat could easily end this banter with one swift paw, or the cat could also hiss or run off, leaving the sweet, little puppy in a cloud of kitty dust. Instead, the sweet little fur ball hangs in there and enjoys the fun with this cuddly, cute canine. Imagine how empty our lives would be without pets. Some of us enjoy only cats; some of us enjoy only dogs. Then, there is the rest of society who loves all pets under the sun. These are the ones, the owners, who get to enjoy precious , heartfelt moments like this when puppies and kittens can live and love together. What do you think of this video?
