Rowdy Baby Gorilla Gets Disciplined By Dad In Front Of Zoo Visitors

Shufai the baby gorilla was has a great time playing with some tree branches in Twycross ZOO until his father Oumbi decided to take them all away (since technically he's playing with his food). But when Shufai persists, Oumbi does a total dad move to let him know he's serious! The kid runs after his dad, while the 24-year-old Silverback gorilla gather all the branches from the enclosure and puts them away. Shufai’s older brother Lope knows well to stay away from dad’s path, but the gorilla youngster wants his toys back. In an effort to stop dad from removing all of his toys, Shufai tries to grab dad by the foot, but the elder puts him back in his place with a determined, but still very gentle nudge with the foot. Body language is a big deal with these giants and the baby knew that very instant that playtime is over! Instead of chasing after dad, the baby sits on his butt and contemplates his choices, before turning away and running after mom Ozala. Shufai was born on September 24, 2016 and is the third baby for 22-year-old mother Ozala and 24-year-old father Oumbi. As well as being a joyous occasion for zoo staff and visitors, the birth is an important part of conservation efforts to save the species, as the number of Western lowland gorillas in the wild has dramatically declined by more than 60% in the last 20-25 years, and scientists predict they will become extinct in the next 20 years or so.

Parrot Whistles Vintage Song From The 'Andy Griffith Show'

This is Einstein attempt and original rendition of the theme song from the The Andy Griffith Show. This show was a popular American situation comedy in the 1960's. It was about a small town sheriff and his family and friends living in Mayberry, North Carolina. The opening theme song for the show was a tune called "The Fishin' Hole". The words to the song were never sung, the tune was only whistled on the show. Einstein's owners whistle the song frequently and Einstein picked up on the happy sounding tune. He only belts out the first 8 or 9 notes and often they are out of sequence, but it's hilarious and you have to give him extra credit for trying! Einstein the Talking Texan Parrot is a silly, smart, and popular parrot who loves to talk and entertain! He likes to have conversations with his owners, talking and acting silly, and doing animal sound imitations. Watch him sing and dance in his video compilations! With his amazing talking abilities, and funny antics, Einstein's talking parrot's videos will keep you entertained for hours! Einstein parrot is also famous for some of his silly quotes and sayings. Camel youngster gets frightened, cries out for mamma17s

Camel youngster gets frightened, cries out for mamma

This was filmed in the deserts of Dubai. As part of a desert tour, tourists were dropped off at a small camel compound where tourist could pay to ride camels. The larger camels were locked up in a cage while the smaller baby camels roamed freely around the area. This baby camel was frightened by some tourists who had approached it hoping to get a selfie. The baby camel then walked over to the cage and started calling for its parents. The video isn't able to pick the sound up, but the tourists could hear an adult camel faintly returning the baby camels cries. It was a very sad moment and many of the tourists wouldn't go for a camel ride after experiencing this.

Woman Has Full Blown Conversation With A Herd Of Talkative Geese

We know that animals can communicate with each other, but have you ever seen one having a conversation with a human? Well, that’s what’s happening in this video. We know Huskies can be vocal, but hear this herd of geese get talkative with a woman. Can anyone translate this?! We have seen dogs who sound like they are speaking, including the very verbal Husky, who tells his owners that he loves them. But have you ever seen talkative geese? In this video we hear a woman whistling to a herd of geese and calling them over for some chat and pet time. As soon as they hear the woman calling for them, they start running and talking in their own geese language. They sound like they are having a full-blown conversation in some kind of a bird language. The ducks start quacking and engage in serious interaction with the lady, one very friendly duck comes straight to the woman, and gets talkative. This unique friendship is truly wonderful! This goose seems to have a whole bunch of things he needs to let the woman know, as they engage in a serious conversation. It is adorable to see this talkative goose take talking to a next level. Of course it’s unclear what the goose was attempting to verbalize, but the fact that he stayed around for a while is certainly surprising. What a special bond!

Flexible parrot demonstrates birdie yoga moves

Einstein is actually stretching, not doing yoga. However, when he stretches it does resemble yoga poses! Parrot and birds of all kinds stretch like this on a regular basis. They are on their feet 24/7 so a good stretch is important. Parrots stretch for the same reasons people do, to lubricate the joints, to release tension, and primarily because stretching feels good. They always stretch one wing and one leg on the same side of their body at the same time. They also do both sides. They instinctively know that stretching is an important activity. Einstein stretches like this first thing in the morning and at least 2 or 3 times during the day, especially after a nap! Einstein the Talking Texan Parrot is a silly, smart, and popular parrot who loves to talk and entertain! He likes to have conversations with his owners, talking and acting silly, and doing animal sound imitations. Watch him sing and dance in his video compilations! Monkey's Attempts At Eating With A Spoon Are Praiseworthy1m27s

Monkey's Attempts At Eating With A Spoon Are Praiseworthy

It is one of the things we learn in elementary school - the illustration of the March of Progress, as it is called, depicts the 25 million years of human evolution from apes. It shows the 15 human evolutionary forebears, which in turn have made the image subject of controversy. Scientists say that the early human evolution did not progress in any linear fashion and did not move along a "road" toward any predetermined "ideal form", so they label the image as being misleading. However, the fact that humans were once apes remains. Capuchin monkeys might be far from our prehistoric ancestors, but they do resemble tiny, hairy, human-like creatures, with opposable thumbs, meaning they can used them to grasp things with their hands. Like, say, a dinner spoon! Toby the Capuchin monkey has been taught by his owners to use the spoon when eating his meal, so that his hands can be clean to play around the house later. In this adorable video, we see Toby sitting in his highchair at the dinner table, munching on his fruity puree with a baby spoon. The tiny monkey tries his very best to use the utensil properly, but like every small creature that is still learning, Toby is having trouble with the spoon. At one point, he tries to sneak some food in his mouth with his hands, but mom is right there to correct him. As adorable as these animals are as pets, one has to wonder - why do they force this monkey to be something that it is not?

Gorilla Youngster Preciously Plays With Baby Brother

Meet the Lope the cheeky gorilla youngster from the Twycross Zoo in England. Enjoy as he gets chased all around his enclosure by his little brother Shufai. If you think that is cute, wait until you see both of them at the end of the video! Lope is a 4-year-old western lowland gorilla, a species that is labeled as critical on the IUCN list. He is the the second child of 22-year-old mother Ozala and 24-year-old dad Oumbi. Shufai, on the other hand, is his first younger brother, which made headlines last year on his birth. The 4- and 1-year-old, respectively, can be seen running around their enclosure in Twycross, just like human siblings would. It is an important aspect of a gorilla youngers’s behavior. Mom is close by to keep a watchful eye on the two sons, but she will never intervene, because this is also how they learn about the hierarchy in the troop. These rare primates are usually found in dense rainforests and swamps in Central Africa – but their populations in the wild have declined by more than 60% in the past two decades. Western lowland gorillas have been pushed to the brink of extinction by humans clearing their forests for timber, oil and gas, as well as poaching the animals for bushmeat and the illegal pet trade.

Best Friends Raccoon And Dog Enjoy Sweet Playtime

These interspecies friendships is what we love most about our job here. Watching endless hours of videos with all sorts of different animals cuddling and playing in harmony warms our hearts and makes us wish we had such pets around. Seeing how even sworn natural enemies can learn to love and respect each other really makes you put a finger to your forehead and think some things through. We have seen cats and dogs; we’ve seen cats and mice; even a dog, cat and rat have been found to live in perfect harmony as a priceless trio. So it might not come as a surprise to see a dog playing with a raccoon as if it were her own littermate! In this adorable video, Dawson the raccoon and Gracie the dog engage in a very entertaining wrestling match. It first, it is the dauntless masked bandit that sneaks up to the dog as she lay on the floor and minds her own damn business. Taught by all those years of watching cartoon, everyone’s first thought might be “now he’s gonna get it” but no; instead, Gracie just rolls around and starts biting him on the neck gently, like all dogs play. They bite and push each other around, but we all know that in the end they will remain BFF's forever!

Dog And Cat Politely Attempt To Steal Each Other's Food38s

Dog And Cat Politely Attempt To Steal Each Other's Food

Cats may be many things - hunters, cuddlers, fighters, attention-seekers, silly pranksters, but they are definitely not thieves, right? WRONG! When a cat sets her mind on something, she will get it, no matter the cost. It would seem that cats govern their lives by the saying “the end justifies the means”, just like this one. A Bengal cat is determined to steal the food right from under a puppy’s nose, even as the dog is still eating his food! The Golden Retriever puppy is minding his own business, munching on his kibble, but the cat is set on getting her share, even if there isn’t one! We love how the puppy doesn’t care one bit that someone is trying to steal his food, so he just moves with the bowl. Hilarious! Watching the feline impostor poking her paw in the bowl and pulling it closer to her makes us think of all those petty sibling squabbles, where we would see our sibling using or eating something that we desperately want, so we try and catch them when they’re not looking to get it for ourselves! Muahahahaha! Check out these two try their best to snatch up all the food in the bowl before the other one can. Guys - sharing is caring!

They do not allow themselves to be handled or touched by humans, and will run away if they are able. They typically remain hidden from humans, although some feral cats become more comfortable with people who regularly feed them. Even with long term attempts at socialization, feral cats usually remain fearful and avoidant of humans. However this cat created a special bond with the captivated zoo monkey. The little Capuchin monkey seems to really dote on the sleeping feline and she seems to be very patient and relaxed throughout the entire treatment. There are numerous stories about such extraordinary friendships in the animal kingdom. In fact, that apes in the wild have been known to actually adopt felines as cuddly pets of their own. Dog And Cat Engage In Friendly Wrestle Battle1m18s

Dog And Cat Engage In Friendly Wrestle Battle

The old saying that cats and dogs can't live together and can’t get along isn't true. You can have a pet dog and cat under the same roof, not just tolerating each other, but actually enjoying interacting and being part of the one family. Animals that live under the same roof form a pack and treat each other differently than they would other animals outside their familiar environment. They learn to peacefully coexist. If the cat stands its ground, normally the dog will ignore it. If the cat runs, then the rules of the game change and the cat becomes a prey. This holds true in the house, too. Cats being the drama queens they are, will often entice the dog to chase it, by slinking around or running. One of the biggest mistakes a pet owner can make is to assume that when one animal is ready to play, the other is too. Playing is an important way for alliances and socialization to take place for cats and dogs, but both animals have to be willing to take part. In this hilarious video, it is obvious that these cat and dog learned how to play together without getting hurt. What at first seems a very intense wrestling match, turns out to be just a friendly tease. In the end they're still the best of friends! It is interesting, how most dogs love to “torture” their cats, usually in a non-violent way. It’s all done in good fun, similar like the siblings torturing each other. No harm meant. It is just a power struggle. Observe the playful behavior of these two animals, they simply cannot keep their paws off each other. This video is proof that dogs and cats can live in peace, and a little wrestle game never hurt nobody.

Rescued Baby Squirrel Nibbles On Woman’s Ear

Hurricane Irma caused significant influx of baby squirrels because their nests have been blown out during this natural disaster, leaving many baby squirrels homeless. It's the beginning of baby season, so it's just poor timing to have a hurricane at the beginning of squirrel season. Timing is key in both the rescue and the rehabilitation. For instance, the squirrels shouldn’t get used to being held because eventually they will need to be returned to the wild. It will be months before most of the baby squirrels can be released into the wild, for the smaller ones it will take at least three months. People who found baby squirrels have been nursing them back to health. So, if you find an orphaned baby squirrel, the first thing to do is to keep the squirrel warm and feed it something. Even though there are some people who will argue that a healthy squirrel should never be kept as a pet, and that the goal should always be to return a squirrel to the wild. Whether you agree or not, the argument is well-intended and should be considered. On the other hand, there are people who argue that in some cases squirrels can be kept as pets. Take this baby squirrel for example, she bonded with her lady human so much that she became her personal ear cleaner. Watch as this cute little Marsellus snacks on this person's ear. How adorable is this? This adorable little squirrel is nibbling on human’s ear like it is eating a delicious breakfast. “He is also making a purring sound in my ear, similar to a cat”, noted this woman. This is hurricane Irma baby that were blown out of our trees. Even just a quick peek of this tiny baby squirrel nibbling on woman’s ear got me thinking about domesticating one. Pet squirrel, anyone?
