The real questions that came our is ‘Aren’t we just kicking the can down the road? What is wrong with the State Legislature?’ In short, because I’m late in getting this program and newsletter out, Ohio is a targeted State. It is a political battleground in pushing the most evil abortion/human-rights amendment, which encompasses everything to do with manipulation of human reproductive organs and gender at any age, and without needing anyones permission. No different then when Obama/Holder were able to amend the Ohio Constitution regarding redistricting, so to is the battle over Issue 1 and with that the abortion amendment. The enemy has the money. The Citizenry and Churches have a pathetic apathetic perfunctory concern of these issues. One Issue or More Simply, Ohio Issue 1 is not one issue. It is significantly more. It has a complexity for not only Ohio but, as I noted, with Ohio being a test target, the ramifications will move to States with a Simple Majority of 50% + 1, to amend those constitutions with social and cultural evil. We know from various Old Testament Scripture that the Spirit of the Lord is manifested purposefully. In 1 Samuel is a plethora of instances of the giving and removal of God Spirit. More so, we know that the Holy Spirit is present for those in Christ since the day of Pentecost. With that reality, many, including myself, have been praying for decades, that the living God of the whole Bible would regenerate and reform His Church as well as reach those who have not recognized complete salvation is Jesus the Christ. We have seen over the course of this last week that there is a ‘declared’ revival at Asbury University in Kentucky. Thousands of Students and others are descending on Ashbury to see and even participate in what God is doing. It is being reported that many who have participated are returning to their campuses and beginning prayer and worship meetings similar to Ashbury. Make a note that there is a History of Revival at Ashbury as noted on their web site. What is most significant as reported by the Ashbury Student Body President, that there is a hunger for God in this generation. (see Tucker Carlson reports on Asbury University) This is a wonder that is remarkable in that it is extending beyond the Asbury campus. My prayer is that this brings reformation to the pulpits and historical, Biblical Reformation to the church such that the full extensibility of the Living God will affect every aspect of lives as was seen during ‘The First Great Awakening.’ Revival Substance - Edwards Not withstanding that God will do as He pleases and directs, my prayer is that there will be revival substance that follows the great spiritual, mindful, physical and emotionalism of the event. I thought the article by John D. Wilsey titled ‘The Many Faces of Christian Nationalism’ is a nice walk through history on this area of Political Theology. I titled this program Christian Nationalism 7.0 in consideration of the seven distinct sections that are time stamps in the American story of Christianity being the influencer in governing the nation as well as the source of Patriotism – love of country. I do a quick analysis of the paper by Wilsey. I have two areas where I have some disagreement with him. Those being his analysis of Lincolnian Unionism and Wilsonian Idealism. I do not consider either of these to be representative of positive eras of Christian Nationalism but more of the sort that used Christian references to justify their progressivism. This is especially true with Woodrow Wilson and his side kick John Foster Dulles. Italy – A Return to Christian Nationalism? How can a Christian think about or react to the nuances of economics? Well, in the 20th and now the 21st centuries, it has been what the experts from major institutions or think tanks have to say? Constitution Economics Chair A number of years ago I was the Chairperson of the Constitutional Economics group in a small think tank. My challenge was to look at U. S. economics from a foundational and Constitutional perspective. This required more than understanding the historical theories of 18th Century economics. This required looking at the personal lives of the various Founders from the pre-revolution period through the ratification of the Constitution and into the first fifty years of the Constitution being in effect. The intent of this Constitutional Economics group was to compare modern economic policy to that which demanded the Constitutional Convention from the Annapolis Convention of 1786. With the development of a new nation, the mechanisms of commerce were critical not only at the States inter-relational needs but also from a local to international inter-relational needs. One consideration that was already a failure at the inception of our new nation is what I missed at as a member of that think tank: What was a Biblical view of economics? Although there was much pulpit peaching and discussions considering the question of ‘what was Liberty?’ - very little has been paid attention to the moral questions surrounding economics and business in general. Aidan is more than an emerging leader, he is well engaged in the fray of ideological strife in the educational system. A high school junior, Aidan has been a founding member of and at the helm for ‘The American Conservative Youth Union’ since the school district he resides in rejected the on campus request for a Turning Point USA club presence. I want to break down what I summarize as significant takeaways for this weeks program but you need to hear from Aidan to get the breath of what these Patriots are looking for: Vision, Purpose, Principled Solutions and Execution. In respect to our citizenry aged below 40, I am always making inquires as to why so few engage with TEA Party or other citizen groups. Most often I am told that the majority of the groups are made up of ‘old angry men and women who cannot come together for effecting change. The people in the groups lack unity and actionable vision with almost enthusiasm.’ Now I partially agree with that. Most who participate in the TEA Party or other citizen group movements are angry with frustration as to the despotism and tyranny of those bureaucrats and elected. That anger is problematic from its roots in almost three generations of allowing the ‘experts’ in education and politics to control the problem development and control the perceived solution set. Long story very short, Citizens gave up their full authority and responsibility of overseeing those who govern right after the Civil War and even more so after WW I. My interview with author, Phd candidate and Assistant Professor of Politics, Gordon Dakota (Koty) Arnold will bring to light facts about Madison that set me afire. If you really are interested in why secular politics is as it is in our present, then you must examine Madison the same way that Koty does. Not only did I learn from the article that Koty wrote (see reference #1) about Madison being more dangerous to religious liberty than Jefferson but I researched his research on my own. Koty is absolutely correct in his conclusions that Madison - ‘James Madison did not envision that America was or ever could be in any sense a Christian nation, but he instead believed that it was a fundamentally secular republic. He saw the nation as a composite of individuals of distinct religious traditions, and he believed, as a devoted student of John Locke, that the aims of the state were concerned only with the preservation of property rights. “Government is instituted to protect property of every sort,” Madison avowed, “as well that which lies in the various rights of individuals… This being the end of government, that alone is a just government, which impartially secures to every man, whatever is his own.”53 At best, Madison sees Christianity as a religion that perhaps provides a useful moral and ethical system for individuals to order their private lives around, but he does not believe that it provides any meaningful guidance about politics or society. If Madison is to be believed in his “Memorial” and his “Detached Memoranda,” God does not concern himself with the actions of political communities because, if He exists at all, He is only interested in the individual’s inner spiritual life…’ But before I continue down the path of Madison’s intent to destroy Christian involvement in all spheres of public life, let me share this from Madison’s professor at Princeton, Rev. I know, for the last fifty years, most of you were able to see this year approaching like a fully loaded coal locomotive bellowing smoke and steam, heading right at you…. NOT. Most Citizens didn’t see the track being laid even though they were the minions hammering the nails into the ties. These subtle Hydra’s of destruction, so well made up with rosy blush, large fake eye lashes, blue and purple eye shadow and that deep red lipstick; have the mesmerizing hallucinogens of pride, envy, deceit and blissful ignorance in each ‘serpent’ lock of hair. Yes, here in these United States we have many hydras: in the churches, in local governments, in the various states governments, all bureaucracies and fully infested at all levels of the Federal government. To defeat these hydras, you would be expecting as many Hercules to burst into the Lernean swamps of the afore mentioned locations. It is not to be so, there is no mythical hero that could win the day over these real monsters of governance. Too many, including so called conservatives and Christian conservatives, have been living in the realm of myth, science fiction and fantasy. When the predicted facts are revealed, then reality proves to have been shining bright regardless of the swamp fog bellowing over the minds of those who take the easy way and end as the Dead Men of Dunharrow. Conclusion First: In our 2024 living history, it is difficult in the era of digital gaggles to find a flock to form up with. It seems that there are at least sexdecillian (1051) internet sources for you to garner your needed decision making information from. Yet here you are. Taking into account that large number of recourses, I decided that to address ‘Why Are You Surprised And Angry,’ I will take this program to reference a number of my favorites. I hope to quell your anger and give you several of my more favorable gaggles to fly with. With all that has been predicted since the writings of the Anti-federalists, Why are you surprised and angry at our present time and situations? This program is not just a review of 2023 through the views of most noble pundit protagonists of the day. But I will incite you with a number of other notable reviews. This past Tuesday the US Senate presumably completed the passage of the Radical Respect for Marriage Act. Now we know that SCOTUS took an immoral position in 2015 with Obergefell v. Hodges, which my state, Ohio, was one of the petitioning States in this case. SCOTUS ruled against the citizens and Constitutions of Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, and Tennessee. With this immoral law soon to become reality, the question of Two Religions goes well beyond economics. In this weeks program I give you a strong provocation regarding modern economics is morally determined by the statists, including most evangelicals, instead of being morally determined by God centered worldview thinkers and policy makers. Just remember, that morality can be legislated. The question is: Whose and which morality? In the first instance of Webster’s 1828 Dictionary the definition is ‘To annul; to deprive of validity; to destroy.’ Modern online dictionaries define null as ‘having no legal or binding force; invalid.’ What is happening with the modern bureaucracies at all levels is that the Constitution has no ‘binding force.’ Even the Courts act by their political theology and not by the original intent concept of Constitutionalism. There are two clear points that I am talking about on this weeks program as I close the year dealing with Political Theology. They are living their religions out in the open and making policy based on their beliefs. Let me ask this, Is it not so that the ‘social justice’ movement, critical race theory, critical social justice, environmentalism, just the science, gospel only evangelicalism, major denominational theology and all the forms of isms; are religions based on their underlying theologies? The fact is that the political theology is not being heard but in a few pulpits in our present time. This is unlike the Foundation of the nation. More in a minute.
