Because the hyperspeed rails only work in one direction, an additional rail will be needed in the opposite direction. This helps keep the power of the copper-augmented rails balanced. Hey Minecrafters! The Overworld just got a little spookier! This update adds a new enormous procedurally generated dungeon, the Crypt! Download the Game Changer 3 Datapack for Minecraft Java 1.14.3: https://www.tyruswoo.com/minecraft/game-changer/crypt/ The first fusion structure, the Crypt, adds 64 unique structure pieces to be found, including rooms, hallways, stairs, pits, enemies, and treasures. Individual tombs generate, as branches from the rooms and hallways. The crypt is procedurally generated so that each time it is unique. Even if you’ve found all 64 structure pieces, the tombs, enemies, and treasures are randomized, so that each instance of the Crypt has its own layout and surprises. The Crypt is currently about as common as abandoned mineshafts when using the maximum structure density. Finding crypts feels like having more strongholds to explore, only harder and more exciting! The Crypt is balanced to be a fairly early dungeon experience, so I expect you’ll be able to handle it with iron gear, if you are careful. Just watch out for the tombs hidden behind corners! Features of the Game Changer 3 include: - Structure Generator: Includes Density settings, Biome Caves options, and a Protect function to keep your base(s) safe from structure generation. - Mob Transformer: This can modify any mob into any other mob. This can be used to give mobs special characteristics. Currently, it increases the speed of zombies and gives creepers a 10% chance of spawning in as charged creepers. I intend to do much more with this, so let me know if you have a custom mob suggestion! - Hyperspeed Minecart Rails: Very fast rails for the ultimate railway! Requires a powered rail on top of a treasure block (gold, iron, emerald, or diamond), on top of a magenta glazed terracotta arrow pointing the direction to give a hyperspeed boost. - Sleep Options: Default sleep, 1-Player Sleep, Never Pass the Night, Always Night, Always Day. - Health Display when pressing Tab, and above other players’ heads. - Ultra Hard Core (UHC) Health: Natural Regeneration On is the default and allows eating food to restore health. Turn Natural Regeneration Off to only allow healing from magic foods/potions or beacon effects (Ultra Hard Core health). - Doom Mode: Activate at your own risk! I will keep improving on each of these features, but the Structure Generator and the Mob Transformer are the main two modules that you can expect to receive major updates. If you have suggestions for improvements or for other modules, or if you have a bug report with anything in the Game Changer 3, please let me know! This project is still in alpha snapshot stages! The main reason for this is that many more structures are needed to get to the desired variety of structures. Also, there is a lot of untapped potential in the Mob Transformer. I hope you enjoy! So we can have Polar Bear Rider mobs! Yay! Also, the new Mob Transformer component of the Game Changer allows for us to make Polar Bear Riders as a random mob in the wild. Be careful using this, though, because the bears will remain, even after the enemy riders de-spawn. Hey Minecrafters! With structure blocks, you can create your own structures! You can even have them naturally generate in your world, using the Tyruswoo Game Changer! In this video, we cover how to create your own structure and optimize it for natural generation, including: - How to use Corner blocks, Save blocks, and Load blocks. - Building tips for naturally generated structures, including the usefulness of having basements. - Random loot for chests, using loot tables. - Mob spawners. - Structure voids. - How to prepare your Load block for your Structure Pack. Useful Commands for Designing Structures The following commands work in Minecraft 1.12 (Java Edition). Use these commands to help you create your structures! To get a structure block: /give @p minecraft:structure_block To get a structure void: /give @p minecraft:structure_void To get a command block: /give @p minecraft:command_block To get a dungeon chest with random loot, use this command: /setblock ~ ~1 ~ minecraft:chest 0 replace {LootTable:”minecraft:chests/simple_dungeon”} After you’ve made the chest, use CTRL + Scroll click to grab it. If you open it, the randomness will be lost. To get a mob spawner: /give @p minecraft:mob_spawner Use a spawn egg on the mob spawner to change what it spawns. Custom Loot Tables For custom loot tables, you can use one of these loot table generators: - Mr. Pingoin’s Custom Loot Table Generator - MC Tools Loot Table Generator To learn more about loot tables, you can watch the custom loot table tutorial by TheBalliBoy. (Note: You may need to turn up the sound, because it is a very quiet video.) Custom Mobs and Spawners For custom mob spawners or custom mobs, you can use the MC Tools Custom Mob Generator. Here are a few tips for using the MC Tools Custom Mob Generator: - If you want to summon a boss mob, you may want a persistent mob, and you need to choose “Command/summon” and click “Persistent” until it has an X. - Note: If you use a mob spawner, do not make the mobs persistent. (Otherwise, the mobs will spawn, and never de-spawn!) - Also, you’ll need to use a command block to summon these mobs or mob spawners in, since the command will likely be too long for the chat window. How Do I Make My Structures Naturally Generate? To make your structure naturally generate in your world as you explore, you can use the Tyruswoo Game Changer. It uses a Structure Generator that allows you to add your own structures! Despite being as simple as possible, the Game Changer is still complex. Hey Minecraft Engineers! Using the Nested Structures technique, we can compact even HUGE structures into just a single structure block! There is no longer any need to be limited by the 32x32x32 maximum volume of a structure block. Make structures that are any size you want, and store them (nested) within a single structure block! Redstone for Nested Structures: Nested structures were originally made possible with the introduction of structure blocks in Minecraft 1.10. The following video was made in Minecraft 1.11 and shows how to use this technique to compress enormous structures into a single structure load block! Observers for Nested Structures: Update: May 4, 2017 Observer blocks offer a great alternative to the ways we link nested structures together! The bug that most commonly occurs with nested structures, beginning in about Minecraft 1.14 and onward, especially with large nested structures, is this: Sometimes a structure block and command block will get placed, but then not activated when the observer block is placed! Ick! That’s a gross bug! Functions avoid this bug by containing all information to both place a structure block and load the structure block, all within one function, all contained in a single command block. That way, if the command block appears at all, it will run the function, which also erases itself, eliminating the evidence of our nested structures loading magic. I use the function managed nested structures technique to spawn large and complex structures for the Game Changer, including structures such as the Crypt. Without using functions for nested structures, the Crypt would leave creative-only blocks scattered around the survival experience. How to Make Function Managed Nested Structures: 1. For function managed nested structures to work, a function must be prepared for each structure to be placed. The function should do the following: - Place a structure block (with data containing the structure name and relative coordinates). - Use a redstone block to load the structure block. - Clean up: Erase the structure block, command block, and redstone block. - Here is an example command for placing a structure block with data inside (as of Minecraft 1.16 command syntax). setblock ~ ~ ~ minecraft:structure_block{name:”tyruswoo:crypt/udnesw”,mode:”LOAD”,posX:-6,posY:0,posZ:-6} Note the structure name, structure block being in load mode, and the structure’s coordinates relative to the structure block. 2. Inside the command block, type the command to run the associated function that will load the appropriate structure. 3. Make sure the command block is in “Always Active” mode, at the time when you same the structure piece. - Caution: For this to not run the function while you are preparing the command block, make sure you build the structure pieces in a world that does not have the associated functions! 4. Save the structure pieces, including any pieces that have nested command blocks. 5. Transport the files to the world where you want the nested structures to generate, and be sure the functions are present in that world to run the command block’s associated function for linking the nested structures. 6. Once this is all complete, loading in the first structure piece will cause the always-active single-use (orange) command block to run the function as soon as the command block is placed (i.e. when the command block appears nested within the first structure piece). 7. Congrats! You have a nested structure using functions! This is the most bug-free way to make nested structures! The results of this technique are excellent in that the same function can also erase the evidence, and there are never any bugs of creative-only blocks (structure blocks or command blocks) left behind unactivated. This item elevator is excellent for survival gameplay, and includes the following features: - Input items at any height! - Automatic item detection - Infinite height expandable design - Compact 3×4 footprint - Cheap resource cost - Decoration-friendly - Optional lights - Optional on/off switch - Bug free and lag free! Although other item elevators may be notorious for bugs or known to cause lag, the Flying Badger design avoids lag and errors by using a hopper clock, avoiding torch burn-out and glitch-utilizing mechanisms, and making optimal use of standard redstone mechanics.
