INDIANAPOLIS — — Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston scored 22 points apiece, Caitlin Clark had her second career double-double and the Indiana Fever won their third-straight game with an 88-81 victory over the Washington Mystics on Wednesday night.
Clark had 18 points and a career-high 12 rebounds plus six assists and four steals for the Fever (5-10). She also had six turnovers. NaLyssa Smith added 11 points and Erica Wheeler had nine points off the bench in a big second half.
Indiana, which has won five of seven has its first four-game winning streak at home since August of 2015.
Ariel Atkins had 27 points to lead the Mystics (2-12)
Down nine entering the fourth quarter, Washington started with a 9-2 run, pulling within 70-68 on a three-point play by Emily Engstler with seven minutes to go. Wheeler quickly answered with a jumper, Clark had a steal that led to Wheeler feeding Mitchell for a layup and then Clark hit a 3 off a Wheeler assist to make it 77-68 with 5:05 left.
Wheeler’s pullup at 3:25 pushed the lead to 82-71. Clark’s two free throws with 12 seconds remaining wrapped it up.
Indiana never trailed but was never up by more than seven in the first half before settling for a 46-53 lead at the break. The Fever shot 55% and Smith, Mitchell and Boston were all in double figures with Clark adding nine with eight rebounds.
Atkins had 15 and Samuelson 13 for the Mystics, who were 0 for 8 from 3-point range in the first quarter and then drilled six in the second. They finished with 11 on 34 attempts (32%).

Angel foul on Caitlin was a basketball play upgraded to Flagrant 1! There was more to the game also 😳
And here we go and I was on YouTube you can’t believe the ridiculous THUMBNAILS
All mpg them are CLICKBAIT TITLES. So it seems like these folks are definitely not basketball people because if Angel Reese, Aja Wilson,Skylar Diggums Smith and Kelsey Plum very hard fouls WE NEED THE SAME ENERGY!
You all know that wasn’t the only play. And Clark didn’t get hit that hard. DAMN

Caitlin Clark scores 23, leading Fever to 2nd win over Sky this WNBA season….
The rivalry that WNBA fans have been hoping to see between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese developed further Sunday afternoon as the Indiana Fever defeated the Chicago Sky, 91-83, in a fiercely contested matchup.
Clark scored 23 points on 7-for-11 shooting from the floor, adding eight rebounds and nine assists. She started off hot for the Fever, making her first three shots and scoring seven points in the first quarter. That matched her entire scoring total from Thursday’s win over the Atlanta Dream.
Angel Reese couldn’t beat foul trouble
Reese was limited by foul trouble, going to the bench with four personals after picking up three in the third quarter. That included being called for a flagrant foul upon review after hitting Clark in the head on a drive to the basket.
The foul trouble stalled what appeared to be a good game for Reese, who led the Sky with nine points at halftime. She finished with 11 points, a team-high 13 rebounds and five assists.
Marina Mabrey led Chicago with 22 points, while Chennedy Carter followed with 18 and Dana Evans finished with 12. Kamilla Cardoso scored 10 and grabbed 10 boards, initially helping the Sky to assert their frontcourt advantage over Indiana.

Indiana Fever’s matchup with Chicago Sky to air on CBS4 Sunday….
INDIANAPOLIS — CBS4 will air the Indiana Fever’s matchup with the Chicago Sky on Sunday.
The contest is scheduled to tip off at noon at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and it is one of two Fever games that will be on CBS4 over the next three weeks. CBS is also scheduled to broadcast the Fever’s matchup with the New York Liberty on July 6.
Sunday’s game will pit Indiana’s rookie point guard, Caitlin Clark, against the Sky’s 2024 lottery draft picks, center Kamilla Cardoso and forward Angel Reese.
Clark, who was the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s WNBA Draft, leads all rookies with 15.6 points per game. Reese has scored the second-most points among rookies this year with 12.2 a game.
Cardoso is sixth on the list of the league’s leading rookie scorers with 8.8 points per contest. Cardoso, however, she has missed six of the Sky’s 12 games with an injury.
Reese and Cardoso rank first and third among WNBA rookies in rebounds per game. The duo is averaging 10 and 5.7 boards per game, respectively. Clark is the WNBA’s rookie assists leader with six a contest.

Angel Reese Thrills WNBA Fans with 5th Straight Double-Double in Sky Loss vs. Mystics…
Although the Chicago Sky narrowly fell to the Washington Mystics on Friday night by the final score of 83-81, Angel Reese wrapped up another impressive game.
While Chicago entered the contest with a losing record, it was still a disappointing defeat at the hands of a Mystics team that only earned one win in their first 13 games of the season.
However, Reese finished with her fifth consecutive double-double by scoring 10 points and pulling down 14 rebounds. Although she struggled a bit from the field by shooting 3-10 overall, she came up with several clutch buckets in the fourth quarter.
This included a layup and a foul that cut Chicago’s deficit to a mere two points with just over one minute remaining in the contest.
Fellow Sky rookie Kamilla Cardoso made a positive impact as well, finishing Friday’s contest with 12 points on 4-5 shooting.
After scoring a career-high 20 points against the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday, Reese has continued to look more comfortable with each passing game in her brief WNBA career. Fans were pleased with her effort despite the loss:
Angel Reese’s last five games:

Former WNBA player Nancy Lieberman , Caitlin Clark should be on the Olympic team to gain experience!
Here we go former WNBA player Nancy Lieberman wants Caitlin Clark to be in the Olympic team to gain experience.
Seriously what about Cameron Brink, Angel Reese and others t who are in the same rookie class as Clark?
Clark has no defense, she is not a point guard, but here the serious issue, Clark will not be a starter, she not gonna get the minutes, but her clueless fans will bitch and argue.
And if she gets 5 minutes the new report will be CAITLIN CLARK LEADS THE TEAM TI A GOLD MEDAL😳😳😳😳
Nancy you need to stop this mess because you know she not ready or qualified to be in this team.

The WNBA Rookie Class Angel, Caitlin , Cameron! Give them time they will be fine.!!!!
With all the talk this year about the WNBA it seems like all of a sudden these new fans of Caitlin Clatk are dislike by many who feel like they are just fans of Clark instead of basketball.
Many are experiencing racism because of the situation from 2 years ago between Angel Reese & Caitlin Clatk.
And this created a division with real basketball fans and fobs who are Clark fans.
But it fair to be a fan of whoever you like but let’s be fans of the sport and players.
It time that everyone cookout and stop trying to put this players against that player.
These young ladies have enough things to do as in adjusting to the WNBA straight out of College.
Salute to all 144 players in the WNBA and the Rookie Class of 2024

WNBAB #49 The Caitlin Clark Story
WNBAB #49
The Caitlin Clark Story
University of Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark already stands alone as the greatest scorer in NCAA Division I history—for both men’s and women’s basketball. Now, her focus is on winning an elusive national championship.
For the second straight year, Clark—who, earlier this season, passed “Pistol Pete” Maravich for most career points in D-1 hoops—has led the Hawkeyes to the Final Four of the NCAA women’s tournament. The star guard and her team face perennial power Connecticut and its top player, Paige Bueckers, on Friday with a trip to the championship game on the line.
Clark, a 22-year-old senior, rose to national prominence last year with a record-setting March Madness performance. She became the first player to record a triple-double with 40 or more points in tournament history, men’s or women’s, and led Iowa to the national championship game against LSU.
That momentum carried over into 2024, as Clark passed current WNBA player Kelsey Plum and Maravich on their respective scoring lists and now has 3,900 career points. That includes 41 points in Iowa’s most recent game, a 94-87 Elite Eight victory in a heated rematch with LSU.
This year’s March Madness tournament will be the last for Clark. On February 29, she declared for the upcoming WNBA draft and became the presumptive favorite to join the Indiana Fever as the first overall selection. Here’s everything you need to know about Clark’s career as a hoops phenom, as well as her highly-anticipated college finale.

UNCASVILLE, Conn. — The Connecticut Sun trounced the Indiana Fever 89-72 on Monday, at one point leading by as many as 28 points and ultimately leaving Fever coach Christie Sides upset with her team’s effort.
“I’m going to start with how you can’t, at this level, coach effort,” Sides said to begin her postgame news conference at Mohegan Sun Arena. “I felt like we were just trying to ask them to keep playing hard, play hard. You can’t start there. You can’t play in this league if you have to coach effort. It’s just too hard.”

WNBA’s best Sun dismantle Fever, as Caitlin Clark, 3 more starters benched in blowout loss!
UNCASVILLE, Conn. — The Indiana Fever suffered a blowout loss at the hands of the Connecticut Sun on Monday night, falling 89-72 at Mohegan Sun Arena.
The Fever drop to 3-10 on the season, while the Sun improve to 10-1 — the best record in the league.
Defending without fouling
Fever coach Christie Sides emphasized pregame her team needs to defend without fouling — the Sun shot shot 30 free throws in their 88-84 win in Indiana earlier this season, and that ended up deciding the game.
“Defending without fouling, I mean, we put them on the line 30 times at home in that game, so we could just cut that in half,” Sides said.
But Connecticut is the best team in the league right now, and it knows how to draw fouls. They drew 10 fouls in the first half, shooting 13 free throws. Guard DiJonai Carrington alone got to the line seven times in the first half, making six. As a team, the Fever only had six total free throw attempts in the first half.
Connecticut’s prowess in drawing fouls also led to foul trouble for the Fever. Caitlin Clark drew her fourth foul of the game at the 6-minute mark of the third quarter, and she ended up sitting for the rest of the third.

Team USA 2024, So who was supposed to get CUT for Caitlin Clark?
These Caitlin Clark fans are CLUELESS!
Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark has drawn plenty of early attention — particularly TV viewers and ticket buyers — this WNBA season. She also seems to have caught the attention of her fellow players.
The hard foul over the weekend by Chicago Sky guard Chennedy Carter brought renewed attention on the 2024 WNBA No. 1 draft pick and how others around the league are focusing their efforts on stopping her.
With nearly one-third of the WNBA season done, Clark has been fouled 46 times, the third-most in the league. None was more impactful than Saturday’s when Carter leveled the Fever guard with a shoulder block in the third quarter. The play was deemed a common foul during the game but later upgraded to a flagrant-1 violation Sunday.
Chicago Sky coach Teresa Weatherspoon called out her player on Monday for the “not appropriate” foul on Clark.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — To keep the Washington Mystics winless on the season, the Indiana Fever closed out a gritty, 85-83, win in front of a crowd of 20,333 at Capital One Arena on Friday night.
Indiana’s win pushes them to 3-9 on the season, while the Mystics are 0-11 — now the third-longest losing streak to start a season in WNBA history, passing the 2018 Fever.
Fever hang on, keep Mystics winless
The Fever were up, 82-79, when NaLyssa Smith was called for a clear path foul with just over a minute left in the game. That foul could have been a five-point swing — Washington got two free throw attempts and possession. It could’ve been something that gave Indiana its 10th loss of the season, and Washington its first win of the year.

Angel Reese and Chennedy Carter lead Sky over zMystics!
Chicago Sky guard Chennedy Carter is launching a convincing campaign for the 2024 WNBA Sixth Woman of the Year Award.
Carter combined with Sky rookie Angel Reese for 41 points in a 79-71 Thursday night road win over Aaliyah Edwards and the Washington Mystics.
Reese led Sky starters with 16 points, 11 rebounds and five steals:
The Mystics fall to a franchise-record 0-10 with the loss.
Washington will fight for its first win of the season tomorrow during another home game against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
The Sky meanwhile improve to 4-5 with the victory. Reese and Carter will look to help Chicago hit .500 with a win at home Saturday against the Atlanta Dream.

WNBA LAS VEGAS ACES AJA WILSON STANDING ON THE TOP?
Salute to @aja22wilson for her great performance against the @dallaswings
This definitely was a hard fought game

ARLINGTON, Texas — A’ja Wilson had 36 points, 12 rebounds and 6 steals to help the Las Vegas Aces beat the Dallas Wings 95-81 on Wednesday night.
Wilson became the first player in WNBA history to have at least 35 points, 10 rebounds and 5 steals in a game. She also is the first with at least 35 points and 5 steals in multiple games.
Wednesday’s outing was her 10th career game with at least 30 points and 10 rebounds, and she became the seventh WNBA player with 10 or more such games, joining Tina Charles, Breanna Stewart, Lauren Jackson, Candace Parker, Lisa Leslie and Brittney Griner.
Wilson’s performance came in a physical game that left her face bloodied when she was hit multiple times while driving to the hoop, and that drew frustrations from the Aces, with coach Becky Hammon receiving a technical.
“I just take what the defense gives me and just the flow of the game,” Wilson said. “My teammates really just kept me afloat.”

Clark vs Reese How it all got started 2 years ago, this subject was a CRICKETS!
Funny how all these Johnny come last so call fans who are totally CLUET!
Sad how many who are blogging on YouTube 2 months ago they never posted anything about the WNBA, now everyone and every 🤡 with a cancer post is nothing but CC, not basketball.
Like J stated before CC is a good basketball player, she playing in a women league, not NCAA.
Time will tell how all the rookies in this class will GROW!

MONICA McNUTT NEEDS HER OWN SHOW & PLATFORM!

As we witness this week Monica McNutt expressed herself to Stephen A.Smith about the WNBA.
Smith definitely take this lightly to where he-addressed this on his own podcast 😳😳😳😳😳
Who is Monica McNutt
McNutt was born on October 24, 1989, in Suitland, Maryland. She played high school basketball at the Academy of the Holy Cross in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference, where she averaged more than 11 points per game and led the team in free throw percentage, field goal percentage and three-point field goal percentage. She was named MVP of the Maryland Private School Tournament. At Georgetown she earned Second Team All-Big East honors as a junior, when she averaged 11.2 points per game and led the team with 73 steals.
McNutt began working at ESPN in 2019 as an ACC Network studio and game analyst, where her role slowly grew to include SportsCenter, WNBA coverage, and more. Prior to joining ESPN, McNutt worked at WJLA ABC7 in Washington, D.C., The American Sports Network, BeIN Sports and NBC Sports Washington. In addition to her ESPN duties, McNutt is a studio analyst for the New York Knicks and hosts MSG PM on MSG Networks. Skylar-Diggins_Smith lead team to Victory! WNBA Black on Black hard fouls, where the OUTCRY?
Last night games were definitely exciting. Liberty bd Sky in which the Liberty won. The Sky definitely fought back but rss as n out of time.
Meanwhile Angel Reese who had another double-double needs help on the insife.
But it seems the haters wanna discredit her and discuss her being ejected with 2 techs.
😳😳😳😳😳😳
And let’s discuss the Black on Black hard fouls because it been going on for years and eventually something is definitely going to happen real bad.

ELLE DUNCAN SPEAKS OUT, ANGEL REESE IS THE MAIN REASON CC IS NOTICE!
We all need to keep it 💯 and look at this whole scenario without involving RACE
But let’s be honest without Angel Reese hand gesture toward Caitlan Clark no one was laying this any attention.
Yes when Clark did it they called it SWAG, REESE did it and it was called GHETTO😳😳😳
Even though Clark and IOWA lost to LSU this was building up because how South Carolina another all black team was treated and talked about.
The local media from IOWA and others made this about RACE.
Sad that the -st lady wanted to also invite the losing team to the White House along with the champs LSU
😳😳😳😳😳😳
ELLE DUNCAN said it best and she makes more sense then anyone speaking with a microphone on any sport show.
Sad how when Angel Reese was slam to the hardwood the outcry was CRICKETS, Clark gets hip check public outcry and yes that was NOT A BASKETBALL PLAY, but Clark had elbow Carter in the play before.
These new CC fans are not real basketball fans 😂😂 they just want her to hit 3’s.
The Fever are 2-9 and this is the WNBA, NOT NCAA
Shoutout to Indiana Fever Kelsey Mitchell for leading her team to a win over the Chicago Sky but didn’t get any mention basically because these CC Fans are bot basketball FANS!
