Eco Company really likes these food assignments!

Eco Company meets 7 high school students spending 4 weeks of their summer on Santa Cruz Island island as part of an internship program. On the first day our crew finds them hiking around the mountain looking for Santa Cruz Island Foxes! The fox is on the endangered spices list.

The Santa Cruz Island summer interns help to set up hidden cameras in locations around the island to capture images of potential invasive species that are not desirable on the island. They get some pretty interesting videos!

The manufacture and distribution of new clothing takes a lot of resources and a lot of energy. But there are other ways to be in style while saving money and protecting the planet. Jalena finds one place and gets some real bargains.

In part 2 of our profile of Santa Monica High School's award winning Team Marine, we follow the students into the classroom. There they regularly run water quality tests, work to lobby against single use plastic bags...and recently built a solar boat!

A non-profit agency that is provides urban youth 18 years and up with special job training to help them join the green work force! These young adults are getting experience installing solar panels on residential roofs. More than hands on experience, they gain a brighter future.

At NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory they do a lot more than make unmanned spacecrafts. The scientists here spend a lot of time studying the earth, and specifically, climate change and greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
