Just rescued two more feral kittens from the park where I met my cat, Heidi, two years ago! On the way home from the gym last night, I rode my bike through the park and found and fed this black furball. However, the kitten was very cautious and kept climbing a tree to maintain distance. Today, I returned and found the black kitten with a brown-and-black litter mate! A couple walking through the park with their baby helped me with the black kitten. The other one came right up to me and let me pick her up. The no-kill cat shelters are closed for tonight, so I'll try them again in the morning. Heidi is not happy about fostering these kittens, but seems okay with them staying downstairs. She hissed at our guests and is being extra clingy. That helps me to give them up for adoption and avoid becoming an even crazier cat daddy! Yesterday was my first protest in a while! We visited City Hall, where we yelled at the mayor from outside the gate. 😁 After he left, we happened upon another activist group’s demonstration against violent crime in NYC. Right on the steps of City Hall! They invited us to speak, so I said a few words about the injustices of taxation and gun control—both of which are unconstitutional restrictions on our ability to protect and invest in our communities. Later, we visited the Ed Sullivan Theater, where Stephen Colbert was interviewing Vice President Kamala Harris.
