Adventure is out there!

On 10/30/2023 a SpaceX Falcon 9 launched from Cape Canaveral carrying a load of Starlink satellites. In the video you can see a light pillar form in the sky above the launch, typically caused by ice crystals light pillars are an atmospheric optical phenomenon where a vertical beam of light appears to extend above a light source. You can also see the1st stage booster landing way out in the distance near the tree line.

On 11 Feb, 2023, I flew from Orlando to Denver and ran my GoPro in time lapse mode the entire flight!

There was some very dynamic atmospheric shear yesterday evening and since we're so close to Halloween I decided to go with a creepier soundtrack!

On the evening of September 2nd, 2022, thunderstorms popped up over the Denver metro area bringing with it quite the light show!

While kayak fishing at Gross Reservoir in Boulder County, Colorado I was lucky enough to watch a Bald Eagle snatch a trout from the water!

On the evening of 27 July & into the early morning of 28 July monsoonal moisture fed some very active nocturnal thunderstorms. This may be one of the coolest time lapses I've done so far and even the International Space Station makes a visit! (min 3:05)

While kayak fishing in Estes Park a little thunderstorm popped up and decided to drop pea sized hail on me as I was getting off the lake!

As far as I know Tomky Fish Farms is the only place along the front range of Colorado where you can see fireflies aka "lightning bugs" and this evening was no exception!

On the evening of 30 June, 2022, a roll cloud passed over Brighton, CO.

While doing some kayak fishing at Jackson Lake State Park in Orchard, Colorado the local tornado sirens sounded! It was just a test but what a sound!

The wiper fishing at Jackson Lake State Park was on fire today! All today's fish were caught with the same Rapala Glass Shad Rap and even after losing a treble hook it still caught fish! *Wiper are type a hybrid bass and a cross between a White Bass and a Striped Bass*

On the evening of 16 June, 2022, a severe storm popped up over southern Weld (Lochbuie) & northern Adams County (Brighton) bringing with it 1 inch hail, 82 mph wind gusts, several funnel clouds and tons of lightning!

June 7th was very active weather wise with multiple severe & tornado warned storm cells that moved southeast through Sidney, Nebraska, Holyoke, Colorado, & Atwood, Kansas. Several weak landspouts were reported and I captured a couple nice ground circulations!

I chased a beautiful storm from Eads down to Two Buttes, CO. The storm produced large hail, storm winds, and even a brief tornado!

This was my first chase of the 2022 storm season and it took me from eastern Colorado through Nebraska & Kansas! This storm complex produced copious amounts of lightning, hail, some flooding and even a brief tornado and while I missed the tornado I did catch a brief weak funnel in Kansas.

On the night of May 30th, 2022, the Tau Herculids lit up the night sky with quite a few meteors! With this GoPro time-lapse I was able to capture a few meteors, some satellites, and a few passing aircraft.

Between the 18th and 21st of May a late spring storm hit the state of Colorado with high winds and in some locations several feet of snow!

During the Spring 2022 Take a Kid Fishing Days tournament the wind was gusting up to 80 MPH and kicking up lots of dust!

On 12/30/2021 high winds caused a grass fire to grow out of control and blew smoke and dust through the Brighton/Lochbuie, CO area. The following day on New Years Eve the same area received around 3 inches of snow.

While doing some ice fishing a young Pronghorn decided to come see if the fish were biting!

On 19 August, 2021 severe storms developed over the Denver metro area. While I could not go and chase them this time I was able to record some video!
