In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, “Twerk” the kitten has garnered internet fame with a video that has gone viral. And yes, Twerk is a very special kitten, besides being adorable and playful as most kittens get to be. This little gal, however is unique, and although she wasn’t born perfect, who really cares? The three-month old kitten was brought to the East End shelter of the Humane Animal Rescue earlier in July because her previous owner was moving. According to the shelter, the mini kitty suffers from Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a neurological disorder that results in involuntary movements and shakes. So what? Twerk seems to be quite the dancer, and her disability doesn’t seem to bother her at all – purring, dancing and being generally a happy kitty.

A son decided to share the heart-warming moment he gave his mother a robot cat after she had to give up her pet cat of nine years. Virginia Smith, who suffers from mild dementia as well as mobility problems and needs 24-hour care, had owned cats for as long as her son James Allen Smith could even remember. However, two years ago, following the death of their father, James and his brother realized Virginia’s health was deteriorating. In the beginning, she was in assisted living facilities, but eventually moved into an adult family home in Seattle – and sadly the 81-year-old was forced to leave her cat with her son back in Texas.

This is an adorable but sad video clip. What caught our attention here at The Best Cat Page isn’t the action of a stray dog cuddling with a stray cat, but rather this … the dog could have easily decided to go and hang with the other dogs. Instead, he decided to stay put apparently to keep the stray ginger cat company or to possibly just keep it warm and protected … or both! So many people are under the impression that animals like cats and dogs don’t have thought processes or even emotions. Seems to us that believe system is a bit primitive.
