Ian Smith is the co-owner of Atilis Gym in New Jersey, which has openly and publicly defied the state's draconian lockdown orders. He and his business partner have been arrested, had their business license pulled, and have been fined over a million dollars. (They’re still being fined over $15,000 a day). He made a decision to take a public stand — because someone had to do it. He’s doing what millions of men are afraid to do, and I think he deserves to be recognized and applauded for it. The Striker god-archetype, The Champion of Order, integrates the myths of warrior gods and heroes -- from Apollo the Far-Striker to the Strikers that particularly inspired this video, the Maruts from the Rig Veda. The Striker Thunderbolt symbol seen in the video represents two crossed thunder weapons, meant to evoke both Zeus’ keraunos and Indra’s vajra. They extend outward like spear points from the ordered center — the sun, the fire, the sacred point of orientation from which all hierarchies of values emanate. The sharpened tips of the thunderbolts face the perimeter to champion order, driven by the primal and eternal masculine virtues of strength, courage, mastery, and honor. This is an insignia of warriors and heroes, of men who summon their own might to overcome physical challenges and physical chaos.
