Compassion and courage in caring for and fighting for the imprisoned J-6 protestors by the Northern Neck Patriots The peaceful protestors who rose to protect our elections from being stolen on Jan 6th have been maligned, abused and imprisoned on charges which cannot be proven. Even the charge of trespassing cannot be proven as video evidence implicates police assisted protesters to enter the Capital. These people have not even had their day in court and now we have proof that exculpatory evidence has been withheld in some cases with the blessings of the DC judges, showing a peaceful and orderly demonstration and protest. Our own Northern Neck Patriots have been a godsend and a true blessing to these forgotten heroes. They have been their advocates in dealing with the injustices and abuses that they have endured. This is an edited version of the presentation given by Xi Van Fleet at the Virginia Tea Party Winter Summit 2023 on December 2nd. Xi Van Fleet describes herself as “Chinese by birth; American by choice, survivor of Mao’s Cultural Revolution, defender of liberty.” She was born in China, lived through the Cultural Revolution, and was sent to work in the countryside at the age of 16. After Mao’s death she was able to go to college to study English and has lived in the United States since 1986. In 2021, she delivered a school board speech in Loudoun County, Virginia against Critical Race Theory that went viral and ignited national conservative media attention. She now devotes her time and energy full time to warning about the parallels between Mao’s Cultural Revolution in China and what’s unfolding in America today. Since going public with her message, Xi Van Fleet has appeared on Fox News, Newsmax and radio shows such as Glenn Beck and podcasts across the country. Her book "Mao's America" describes the parallels between the cultural Revolution in China and the upheaval in America today. The comparison is no accident. As a former local Tea Party Chairman, I've become increasingly interested in the question of "What is the role of the Tea Party in 2023 (and beyond)? Enter Reagan George. Reagan has written a very penetrating document called "TEA PARTY 2.0?" And, he has an accompanying survey to go along with it. When I received a copy at our last summit I quickly realized that this was critically on point and I wanted to learn more. When he and I finally caught up and began the discussion I further realized that this isn't a simple topic. IMPORTANT When Reagan touches on what the RPV State Central Committee did to itself (and by extension everyone else) when the Tea Party showed up in 2009... I found it to be both a point of dismay and stunning. It was well worth a "double sip"! Take time to listen through as we skim a few topics. Be assured there is more to come!

The Virginia Tea Party always tries to present members with engaging and relevant summits twice a year. Our next summit is June 10th at the Sheraton Airport Hotel (same as last time), 5501 Eubank Rd., Sandston, VA 23150, 804-226-6400 with the same low price of $40, which includes a box lunch. As we all know, America is currently facing many enemies, some like China, are readily apparent but others are often hidden from us. In keeping with this idea, we developed our June summit as the Enemies: Seen and Unseen. We begin our summit with a presentation by Congressman Bob Good, followed by a a Q&A. The seen enemy of China will be presented to us by Commander John Hooper, US Coast Guard retired who is an expert on China. He will share with us information on how China is a threat to our homeland. In view of the recent “weather” balloon, this will be a very interesting presentation. Now who are the enemies that are unseen, lurking behind facades of government? China Joe, of course readily comes to mind!! However, there are others who pretend to be patriots but are secretly working against the best interests of our Congress and our statehouses. To address this we have Congressman Bob Good who held up the appointment of Speaker McCarthy until certain agreements were made. In our own statehouse in Richmond there are many others who hide behind a cloak of conservatism, but are really “woke” leftists, unseen enemies. To address this problem, we have two speakers from Americans For Prosperity, C. J. Sailor, Director of AFP for Virginia and Matt Davison, Assistant Director of AFP. They have spent many months examining all the General Assembly races and the candidates for the November election and will give us their assessment along with suggestions for how we as Tea Party folks can make sure we elect the guys in “white hats” to the GA in November.
