Old 8mm footage of switching operations on the Pere Marquette Railroad circa. 1940's. No sound. Shots of 0-8-0 steam locomotive switchers #241 and #254. Great shot of steam engine #254 being turned on a turntable. Experts tell me that this was shot at Pere Marquette's Ottawa Yard south of Erie, MI. It was a semi hump yard and the yard tower / office was east of the main line and west of the yard. The coaling dock was 300 tons. This yard was later abandoned after the PM / C&O Merger.

Drilling a new water well. Filmed at Lawrence Lucas house in 1953 on US Route 20 in Lemoyne, Perrysburg Twp, Wood County, Ohio by Frank Grabenstetter. House was just moved in from a dirt road to the North where IR420/280 now exists. Color - no sound.

Two tinplate trains running on an oval of 3 rail track through a tunnel with a small girl watching. Steam engine pulling mixed rolling stock and an electric trolly pulling passenger cars. I am not sure if these are Lionel and also not sure if they are O gauge or Standard gauge. Filmed by Frank and Pearl Grabenstetter - probably in the early 1950's.

This was filmed around 1940 by Frank Grabenstetter on his 8mm camera. I believe these trees were being cleared in preparation of putting in the US Route 20 (Fremont Pike) bridge overpass over the railroad tracks in Lemoyne, Ohio. The bridge goes over the CSX Railroad (formerly C&O-B&O), Lemoyne Road and Packer Creek. From info I can find the bridge was completed in 1941.

Old 8mm footage (1940's) from the Toledo Municipal Airport which is now called Toledo Executive Airport or Metcalf Field. Located on State Route 795 outside of Millbury Ohio near Walbridge, Ohio.

Beginning construction of creating an overpass bridge in Lemoyne, Ohio. This bridge carries US Route 20 traffic between Woodville and Stony Ridge and goes over the CSX (old C&O-B&O) Railroad line, Lemoyne Road and Packer Creek. Video shot by Frank Grabenstetter probably in the early 1950's. The Lemoyne School (now Stony Ridge Auction) is featured in some of the shots. Also Spud's Garage which sold gas and was a Chevrolet dealer (white block building - now Luckey Farmers gas depot). From info I can find the bridge was completed in 1941.

Crop dusting soybeans in Northwest Ohio. He may also be sowing a cover crop - not sure. This is a fairly normal sight in the area. Luther Gibbs or his son would be flying the plane.

Farmall A tractor after a bath. Built in 1942, this 'Little A' has been in my family its entire life. It's has a 4 cylinder engine developing around 18 hp. Yes, I know it doesn't have the correct decals for that year. Plan to fix that in the future. Also needs new tires. All in due time.

Cutting wheat with a wheat shocking machine at Five Points Steam Threshers Reunion. South of Perrysburg, Ohio. Wheat bundles are then gathered on wagons and taken to the wheat threshing machine. This video was shot in 2018.

Break time at an Ole' Zims Wagon Shed square dance is a time to cut loose, drink some beer and do some line dancing. Sawbuck Band calls all the square dances and they are scheduled from January thru April every year at Zims. Ole' Zims is located on Rt 590, Gibsonburg, Ohio.
