PyraFARM has been designed based on Richard Nelson's early pilot programs for large scale farm operations. This improved upgrade version is much better with proper ground layout, simpler and yet sturdy structure, smart and effortless "flying carpet" (mobile workplatorm with wheels on railway tracks), and optimized space usage. Today Richard, Yang and I had two sessions with 3D Sketchup design with Tim Allen of www.DownToTheWirewelding.com joining the first session. We worked on the details of Bubble Generator based on a whole week testing.

estoday, our design team met the local metal fabricator Tim Allen in Kelowna and discussed a few minor things about the metal structure. After that we looked at the site preparation and came up with a 3S solution: the Smartest, the Simplest, and the Smallest greenhouse design with a 10x10 footing plus underground pool built with gravels and a pond liner. Have not seen anything like in my past dealing with solar thermal and geo thermal. So smart, so simple, and so bloody easy. Thank Richard Nelson for this genius design! OK, after discussing with Richard Nelson, the inventor of SolaRoof with 6 patents, I have compiled all the videos I can get into this one video. For the DIY project that Harvey Rayner of England did, it is documented as a 2004 project but I miss labeled it as 2006. I am glad that I have found videos showing works between 1973 and 1982. I am working on a story in words, describing how Richard first got the vision and later on got the ideas to take actions on it. I have removed in this video the portion comparing the results of conventional Chinese style passive solar greenhouse and Richard Nelson's SolaRoof greenhouse. Too much information. This video solely focuses on the conversion, i.e. how to do the retrofit. Once you fully understand how SolaRoof greenhouse works, then the next action is obviously how to build one yourself or how to retrofit it to your existing greenhouse. Do you stilll have the frames sitting there collecting dust and snow? Yes, you can reuse it. Watch this video and you will know how to do it with your existing one out there. Enjoy!
