Sunday Stitches - Honeycomb stitch
I thought I would continue with the cozy cable stitch theme and show you the honeycomb stitch 🐝 It’s actually just a combination of Cable 4 Front and Cable 4 Back in a previous video, but it gives you this beautiful textured honeycomb pattern to your work 🍁❤️🍂

Knit with me while it snows
Another knit with me video! Portland, Oregon - where I currently live - got a decent amount of snow over the last couple of days. So I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to create a cozy and relaxing knit with me video.
Today I'm working on another blanket pattern idea. But I wanted to make a small sample swatch before I bought a bunch of new yarn. It's a fair isle pattern knitted in the round. When you're done knitting the pattern you sew the edges closed and then add a border to the edges. The nice thing about this technique is that you don't have to carry your floats or weave in your ends because it's all hidden inside the blanket!
Hope you enjoy!

Sunday Stitches: Basket Rib Stitch
Hello Everyone! Sorry it's been a while since my last video. But now that the holidays are over, I'm back at it with another stitch video. This week is the Basket Rib Stitch. A super versatile stitch that you can use for just about any type of project - from hats to blankets to dishcloths. Plus it's a pretty easy pattern!
Pattern:
Cast on a multiple of 2+1 (for this swatch I cast on 11 stitches: 5x2=10 +1 = 11)
Row 1: Knit all stitches
Row 2: Purl all stitches
Row 3: Knit 1, slip 1 purl wise; Repeat until the last stitch, Knit 1
Row 4: Knit 1, yarn front, slip 1 purl wise, yarn back; Repeat until the last stitch, Knit 1
Repeat these 4 rows until the item is the desired length.

Knit along with me - finishing Christmas gifts
I know it’s Sunday and I’m so sorry but no Sunday stitches today 😔 I’m frantically trying to finish up all my Christmas gifts 😬 So instead of my usual Sunday stitches I’m asking you to join me as I finish my knitting projects! I’m working on a pair of gloves and washcloths to go with some lovely soaps. And of course there is some Christmas music in the background to enjoy as well 🎄🎅🏻❤️

Knit with Me: Making a Blanket Pattern
Right now I am working on a blanket for the end of my bed. I’m using a pattern panel from a book called Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible that my brother got me for Christmas. Now I won’t be putting this pattern for sale on my Etsy shop because I feel that it would be plagiarizing this pattern from the book. It’s also quite an advanced book - not very beginner friendly at all. But I thought it might be relaxing to knit with me. I left the sounds of the knitting needles in as well because I know a ton of people (me included 🙋🏻♀️) love ASMR!
It is kind of a long video - so if you just want to see what the blanket looks like you can skip to the end. And obviously if you’re not into the sounds of the knitting needles you can always turn the volume down or mute it 😊

Sunday Stitches - Cable 4 Front & Back
Fall and Winter is when you start to see all those wonderful chunky knit patterns emerge, and many of those patterns use cable stitches. So I thought it would be a good idea to show how to do some basic cable stitches for this episode.
Cable 4 front(C4F) and cable 4 back (C4B) are two very common types of cable stitches and they are also very easy to do. You will need a cable needle to make the cable stitches. Cable needles are generally inexpensive and are worth investing in because you can create so many amazing patterns!

Sunday Stitches - Circle Cable Stitch
It’s the last Sunday Stitches for November 🤯 And I’m still on my cable stitch kick so I bring you the Circle Cable stitch. And this stitch uses Cable 6 front and back - so very similar to my previous cable stitch tutorials and pretty easy once you get the hang of it 🧶🍁🍂

This pattern is worked over 12 stitches on a background of reverse stockinette stitch - for this swatch I cast on 20 stitches (4 stitches of reverse stockinette on either side of the 12 stitches for the cable stitch)
Row 1: Purl 4, Knit 12, Purl 4
Row 2: Knit 4, Purl 12, Knit 4
Row 3: Purl 4, Cable 6 Back, Cable 6 Front, Purl 4
Row 4: Knit 4, Purl 12, Knit 4
Row 5: As row 1
Row 6: As row 2
Row 7: As row 1
Row 8: As row 2
Row 9: Purl 4, Cable 4 Front, Cable 4 Back, Purl 4
Row 10: Knit 4, Purl 12, Knit 4
Row 11: As row 1
Row 12: As row 2
Repeat these 12 rows until item is desired length. Note that the number of Purl/Knit stitches at the beginning and end of each row will vary depending on the number of stitches you use for the reverse stockinette stitch.
Enjoy!
