Angkor Wat has been on my bucket list long before I saw any Tomb Raider movies. This Wonder of The World enchanted me deeply. Enjoy this late 2019 recap and early 2020 update. In retrospect, I was only a few days away from getting on that plane to Kathmandu, Nepal, for a solo trek climbing the Himalayas, followed by adventures throughout India, a 7th Camino in Spain and then walking the Irish Way Camino in Ireland. The world locked down moments before I boarded my flight and I have been in the USA ever since. I am grateful to have climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 2019. What's next? As soon as our globe is open for travel, (as if it were 2019 without ridiculous restrictions) I'll be back out exploring! I will climb the Himalayan Mountains. Stay tuned. Fainting Goats! Animals are so fascinating... A family friend took us on a tour of their Goat Farm and I learned some very interesting things about this unique breed. Fainting goats suffer from myotonic dystrophy, which is why their muscles seize up and they fall over in a funny manner when excited or frightened. Sheep farmers originally bred this into goats to protect their herds of sheep. (Packs of coyotes would scare the goats, the goats would faint and the coyotes would attack them vs. the more valuable sheep.)
