The varnish procedure is finished.

I have begun the finishing process of 7 layers.

The saddle is where the gut anchor bend around the violin edge. At this point, I have already installed the neck which I have no video of.

Depth holes are in place. Now I have begun to gouge out the excess wood.

As I wait for the bottom liners to dry on the violin body, I continue my work on the maple bottom plate. The wood is much denser than the top plate of spruce. It takes a very sharp gouge and effort to get this done.

The liners need to be flush with the adjacent ribs.

I am cutting out small anchor grooves in the c-bout areas to help hold the upper liners.

The upper liners are shaped and glued in.

M5 vibration test is the most critical. It is to show a circle which it has. The middle portion cannot form because the sides are so steep but this is exactly what it should look like.

I have finished planing the underside of the top plate. The pin holes are beginning to fade. Now I'm finishing with the scrapers.
