Sandy, an acquaintance, stops and discovers the stranger and tells Milton to keep him a secret for his own safety. Joyce, another old woman discovering the stranger. The stranger is starting to repair his boat, but it doesn't seem to be moving fast. Milton's daughter finds out about her father's antics and writes him a mental examination telling him his abilities are rapidly declining and they should consider assisted living. This upsets her and goes crazy.
