See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.’” 2. 2 Timothy 2:22 (NKJV): "Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." 3. James 4:7 (NKJV): "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." 4. Ephesians 4:27 (NKJV): "nor give place to the devil." 5. Matthew 7:13-14 (NKJV): "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." Closing the wrong doors means consciously choosing the narrow gate, despite its difficulty and the fewer numbers who choose it. The theological depth here is immense; our salvation and sanctification are worked out as we choose, again and again, the narrow way of Christ over the broad ways of the world.

Jesus said to her, 'Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.' His mother said to the servants, 'Whatever He says to you, do it.' Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. Jesus said to them, 'Fill the waterpots with water.' And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, 'Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.' And they took it. When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. And he said to him, 'Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!' This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him."
