Coffee With Jesus | S4, Ep. 6: How Will War Impact Christians? (Part 1)
It happened right after breakfast. A thundering and loud BOOM shook a military base in Afghanistan. There was dust everywhere, like that of an enraged sandstorm. Shattered buildings, walls caved in, and a video revealed the story of how 1,500 pounds of high explosives threatened the lives of those in the military base.
War is scary. War seems to be everywhere. Christians around the world are feeling a sense of dread and anxiety. Is World War 3 about to start? Is Nuclear War imminent?
Israel has officially and formally declared war for the first time in 50 years. Russia has continued in its invasion of Ukraine. Azerbaijan is poised to invade its neighbor. What does this mean? What do we do when it seems like the world is on fire?
The first step is to take a deep breath and realized that God is in control. It may seem like a cliche, but sharing an experience from his time in Afghanistan, our host explains that God really is in control.
Listen to this episode to see how God carries us through the storms of this life. Do not let the storms of this life overwhelm you. Take comfort in the knowledge that God is in control, in every situation, and He will not only hear your cry, but rescue you.

Coffee With Jesus, S3 Ep. 22-23: Growing in Christ Jesus, Parts 1&2
In this episode of Coffee With Jesus, guest hosts Elizabeth Bristol and Christine Hobbs discuss practical ways to grow in your relationship with Jesus. Starting in Part 1, they talk about the three “C”s: Cannon, Communication and Commitment. Starting with Scripture, a Christian can get to know all about Christ.
Next, in Part 2, they talk about the different ways you can here God. Starting with prayer, a Christian can get to know all about from our Father and our Savior. It is important to learn everything we can about who our Savior is.
Then, as in any relationship, it is important to talk to Him. Sometimes it may be as simple as “help me!” and sometimes it may be a more in depth conversation. Regardless of how many words we use, it is important to talk to Him. Equally important is listening. To quiet ourselves and hear what Christ has to say.
Listen as Elizabeth and Christine share personal experiences from their own walk, and discover practical tips to grow in your own walk and relationship with Jesus Christ.

Coffee With Jesus, S2 Ep. 22: A Scar, a Smile, a Song
Sometimes songs transport us to moments in life. Other times, they keep speaking to us through the life journey itself.
In this episode of Coffee With Jesus, our host, Sara, shares her story and a song that God used to remind her of His purpose and ever-flowing hope amid tears, hurt, and prayers from the deep. Going through a health condition that shattered her dreams of having more kids, lifesaving transfusions, surgery, and further surgery complications, Sara found peace and strength.
Listen to this episode to know how a scar that once reminded Sara of shattered dreams and traumatic health events turned into a smile (from a little girl’s perspective).

Coffee With Jesus, S2 Ep. 17: How Do You Stop All-Consuming Anxiety?
The amount of constant decision-making we have to do every day is insane. It is aggravated by the things occurring in the world around us—things that we have no control of whatsoever. The worry we felt yesterday may have increased to stress today, and by tomorrow, anxiety may be taking over.
So, how can we stop anxiety when it shows up? We know God promised us peace beyond all understanding. Yet, how do we get there?
In this episode, our hosts Todd and Sara go over the blueprint to tackle anxiety when it shows up:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
Listen to this episode to learn a practical way to apply that verse to your day-to-day life. No problem is too big or too small for God to care about it. God cares about you.
So, do not be anxious; present your case to God through prayer and thanksgiving. He longs to hear your requests; let him help you.
