Great Plays and Philosophy

Discerning reality from illusion--or should we say from deception? And philosophy of death! And other stuff! There's just WAY too much to talk about with Hamlet and philosophy!

Justice, mercy, religion, and, yes, philosophy. (But actually mostly religion this time!)

Does injustice ever make anything better, even for the unjust man? And what about his victims? Is there justice for them--when, where, and how? PLEASE NOTE: At about 33.5 minutes, there is some technical problem. The words go something like this: “Oh, thank God. Macduff cut off his head. The murderer got killed. But is there really enough justice for Duncan, Banquo, Lady Macduff, Macduff kids?”

At one point I think I referred to the Great Text in Philosophy playlist instead of the Great Plays and Philosophy playlist. Anyway, a short commentary on a wonderful, ridiculous, hilarious little play.
