#Eclipse #Eclipse2024 #SolarEclipse I head out to Derby Vermont to see the Total Solar Eclipse, on Apr 8th, 2024. It was an awesome adventure, and of course, I just have to check out the local Dodge dealership, Northpoint CDJR in Derby, VT. I check out the Ram TRX, the last Supercharged Hemi versions. They have a gorgeous new one in red, and used one, both with fair prices. I also check out the brand new 2023 Dodge Durango Hellcat. Or course I spoke to the salesman, and debated buying it, since Dodge reintroduced rebates, cash back and the works. I think you can negotiate even further. But the big show is the eclipse. I am recording more in a home video style, talking about Eclipse facts, from the crescent shaped shadows, to the Moon and the shadow front, the darkness in the sky, even the temperature drop. I did my best using the eclipse glasses over the GoPro lense. I have seen three eclipses, but this one was by far the most spectacular, and most impactful on me. Its why Im chosing this moment to change the nature of this channel. It seems rather fitting. But, now, more than ever. Oil is thicker than blood! #Dodge #Charger #EV I redesign the new 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona as well as the 2025 Dodge Charger Sixpack to fix some of the questionable design choices, from the hatchback to the long nose and front overhang. First off, I take the Dodge Charger 2-door, removing the hatchback, changing the angle of the windshield, moving the sail panel forward, which also fixes the roof line and rear window. The biggest change comes with the shortening of the overhang, and making the nose smaller. A small tweek is the lower crease to make the car seem more supple. The 2024 Dodge Charger 4 door is the primary model, in other words, this design was created first, followed by the coupe. Still, the roofline needs correcting, the hatchback removed, adding a proper trunk, and of course, shortening the nose. The final design, I think, is actually a good looking car, that truly would follow in the footsteps of the prior Scat Packs and Hellcat Chargers. The fun part is the front fascia. The R-Wing is a missed opportunity to add pop-up headlights, a feature that has gained popularity in recent years. The R-Wing would actually prove useful in pedestrian collisions. And it looks awesome! The gas powered car, the Charger Sixpack, with the Hurricane Twin-Turbo inline-6 does not have the R-Wing, but that doesn’t mean it cannot take cues from the 1968-1970 Charger, with concealed headlamps. The prototype of the new Dodge Charger Daytona gives us the grill DNA, which can be moved to the grill, and over the headlights. I think this would be a very good look design. Ultimately, this is fairly useless I believe, since Dodge deliberately made the Sixpack ugly, to push what Stellantis wants. A purely EV based brand, regardless of what the customers, the Mopar Brotherhood wants. They forget that many of their non Muscle Cars are bought by us as well, supporting the brand we loved. But we are alienated. MotorTrend, presented by Hagerty, comes after several channels, like Butter Da Insider, Hemi Muscle, and possibly others for showing Jay Leno and Tim Kiniskis speaking, despite all this being perfectly legal, under Fair Use. As of publishing, nothing has changed, and MotorTrend is still coming after channels, though Butter is talking to Dodge, to find a solution. This is the kind of silencing that wont bode well for Dodge. If we can’t discuss Dodge, even for one of their most amazing cars, the 2023 Last Call Dodge Demon 170, then we cant talk about Dodge at all. Without us, there is even less chance of interest being generated, and cars will end up sitting at dealerships for months to years!
