Michael Senger, attorney and author of Snake Oil, has led the way in drawing attention to the role of the Chinese Communist Party in 2020 influencing nearly every country in the world to lock down economies in order to control a virus. Knut Wittkowski, PhD, is currently CEO of ASDERA and formerly a Rockefeller University researcher in biostatistics and epidemiology. He was also among the very first scientists to publicly oppose Covid mitigation strategies of lockdowns and closures in late March 2020. Here, in the first time they have spoken in public in two years, he is interviewed by Jeffrey Tucker of Brownstone Institute to reflect on his predictions and the incredible failure of public policy over this time. Dr. Wittkowski explains how he came to his early views, traces out the trajectory of a typical respiratory virus, and helps us understand how the political tactics used to contain the virus created exactly the conditions that enabled the virus to cause such carnage among vulnerable populations. David Stockman is the author of a new book on the history of the Trump presidency – Trump’s War on Capitalism – which assesses it on ground of fiscal and monetary responsibility. He concludes with a message that no one wants to hear: This presidency resulted in a vast and even unthinkable expansion of government spending and power. By any measure of what constitutes capitalism – a free commercial sector with limited government – the Trump term was an enormous failure. In this interview, he presents the core facts over spending, debt, and monetary policy, from the standpoint of the values traditionally claimed by Republicans. He concludes that the Trump administration shredded all those values. Stockman has a career-long record of non-partisan assessments of exactly this sort, telling truths that are wildly inconvenient to the prevailing political narrative.

Sunetra Gupta, epidemiologist at Oxford University and a prolific historian and novelist, speaks to Jeffrey Tucker of Brownstone Institute about the brutal attack on democracy and equality that came with lockdowns, and how they unleashed a reactionary spirit in the world in which we were all invited to divide society by class, race, profession, and political compliance with mandates.
