Every year, Rock County Christian School hosts a two-day retreat. This video features the portion of day 2 that was held on campus with the middle school students while the high school students are at a camp. Our message today was regarding a heart of thanksgiving and was brought to us by Pastor Dayetoven Raleigh and worship was led by the RCCS worship team under Tim Davila. This video is a recap of our recent ministry trip to Red Lake, MN. This trip was focused on documenting the Red Lake Outreach horse camp that featured the horses and staff from Destiny Youth Ranch. While there, we also filmed the progress at Chief Cornerstone Church as well as creating promotional materials to help raise funding for the building. Finally, we were honored to film promotional material footage for Camp Dellwater. This camp has been a huge blessing to our ministry as it was the first location where we ever filmed one of our Stories of Hope. Chief Cornerstone Church is located just outside of the Red Lake Reservation in Nothern, MN. Pastor Maynard Lavallie began this project years ago and has been carried on by family and friends since his passing in 2022. In the late 1800s, Chief Long Wolf was attending a special event for Queen Victoria in London, England with Buffalo Bill's Wild West show. Chief Long Wolf fell ill with pneumonia during the trip and passed away in London. Later in that same trip, a young Lakota girl named White Star tragically died after falling off of a horse. The decision was made to bury her on top of Chief Long Wolf so that he would symbolically embrace this young child. During the 1990s, an English woman came across some information regarding the story and reached out to the Lakota Times to see if they could help connect her with Long Wolf's family. Eventually, both bodies were exhumed and brought back to the Pine Ridge Reservation. This is the story told by his great-granddaughter, Mary Condon. While retracing the Trail of Tears, we were encouraged to stop by the Cherokee Removal Memorial Park in Birchwood, TN. While we were there, our friend, Jimmy Muskrat, shared his thoughts on seeing his family's name on the list of families that had come through Blythe Fairy as part of the Indian Removal Act. This was an incredible moment and an honor to be able to record Jimmy's story. I hope that it ministers to you as well! While traveling through Tennessee as we retraced the Trail of Tears, we stopped at the Cherokee Memorial Park in Meigs County, TN. Pastor Maynard LaVallie had an incredible passion for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ! One of Pastor Maynard's hopes was to see the completion of Transformation Acres. In 2022, Pastor Maynard left this earth after a long battle with cancer. While we mourned his passing, we also rejoiced with him as he met the ultimate goal of seeing his Father in Heaven! Just before his passing, he was able to see the shell of the church he had dreamed of. The construction of the church continues to move forward as friends and family take up this calling.
