A Mount Washington caregiver is accused of assaulting an elderly woman she was taking care of. The alleged abuse was caught on camera by the woman's son, who put the camera up because he noticed bruising and red marks on his mother.

The former 700 WLW host said he got the news in the spring of 2022 after he began experiencing weakness in the same arm and leg that the polio he had as a child weakened. "ALS is similar to polio in that they are motor-neuron diseases," he wrote. "The big difference is that not everyone who contracted polio died from it. ALS is a fatal disease."

Multiple Three Rivers School District students and a staff member are in the hospital after a crash Wednesday morning in Cleves near Taylor High School, the district said in a press release. The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of US 50 and Cooper Avenue. At least two vehicles are involved. First responders said a Taylor High School student was ejected from one of the vehicles. They said one person was airlifted to the hospital in a medical helicopter and that seven others were taken in ambulances. Hurricane Idalia strengthened to a dangerous Category 4 storm Wednesday morning as it steams toward Florida’s Big Bend region and threatens to unleash deadly storm surges and rainfall. Idalia was projected to come ashore early Wednesday as a Category 4 storm with sustained winds of at least 130 mph (209 kph) in the lightly populated Big Bend region, where the Florida Panhandle curves into the peninsula. The result could be a big blow to a state still dealing with lingering damage from last year’s Hurricane Ian.

The National Hurricane Center said Hurricane Idalia continued to strengthen late Tuesday evening. The storm is recording top sustained winds of 110 mph, making it a Category 2 hurricane on the verge of reaching Category 3 wind speeds of 111 mph.

Former Cincinnati mayors John Cranley and Mark Mallory have been working with the group and advocating for the design. Several community councils have also voted to support the plan. A memo from the management team, though, said the plan will cost a lot more than ODOT's.

The city said it is pursuing multiple solutions to parking problems. Officials said they have agreements with some nearby lot owners to allow for free public parking at certain times of the day. Hamilton also installed parking meters on Main Street earlier this summer and plans to add a lot with 52 more parking spots.

Robin Kramer, the mother of an 11-year-old girl beaten at a high school football game in Clermont County, said the 15-year-old who could be seen hitting and kicking her had bullied and threatened her for months.
