In this video, Robert Brown addresses why the Founding Fathers included Article V in the U.S. Constitution. He explains that an Article V convention, in and of itself, is neither good nor bad — rather, it is an extremely powerful tool that can do terrible destruction if in the wrong hands. Brown warns that “the wrong hands” include the vast majority of people involved in politics today, since the modern-day electorate is largely ignorant about the U.S. Constitution and the principles of liberty.

In this video, Robert Brown explains how states can nullify unconstitutional federal spending. He notes that states can do this by enacting a “State Sovereignty and Federal Tax Funds Act,” also referred to as an “escrow bill,” and by nullifying the Federal Reserve. Brown highlights legislation on both topics that state legislatures have introduced and/or enacted.

In this video, Peter Rykowski explains the constitutional principle of nullification and how it can be — and is being — used to rein in federal overreach. He explains that when the federal government usurps power not originally delegated to it by the federal Constitution, states can act to ensure that those usurpations are not enforced and, by extension, are null and void. Rykowski notes that nullification has been advocated and used multiple times in U.S. history, and he encourages citizens to inform their legislators and fellow citizens about it.

In this video, Robert Brown discusses the proper solution to federal overreach: Article VI of the U.S. Constitution. Article VI — the Constitution’s enforcement mechanism — requires all acts to be “made in Pursuance” of the U.S. Constitution, and it requires officials at any level of government to swear an oath “to support this Constitution.” Accordingly, state and local governments can (and must) nullify every federal act that violates the Constitution, and voters must hold their officials accountable, including by electing candidates who are serious about following their oaths and upholding the Constitution.

In this video, Peter Rykowski explains why a so-called Balanced Budget Amendment (BBA) — a popular excuse for an Article V constitutional convention — is a false solution for reining in federal overreach. He notes that virtually every BBA proposal includes loopholes that would allow Congress to continue massive federal spending, instead of balancing the budget. Rykowski also notes that enforcing the Constitution as currently written would eliminate our reckless-spending problem.

In this video, Christian Gomez explains why term limits — a popular excuse for an Article V constitutional convention — are a false solution for reining in federal overreach. He notes that the Founding Fathers rejected term limits, which would lead to perpetual lame-duck Congresses.

He notes the recent moral and educational decay in the United States, and explains that when a society abandons God and morality, it inevitably gives way to socialism and a more centralized government. Given this historical precedent, a modern-day convention could likewise dispense with the current Constitution and draft an entirely new one with a new method for ratification.
