Romans, Isaiah - Who Hath Believed Our Report? - From Moses to Messiah #15
The prophet Isaiah foretold of Christ, but he also prophesied that there would be people who would not be able to hear and receive the message. The rejection of Christ by the Jews was part of that prophecy, as well as the grace extended to the gentiles who can hear His word. God chooses who He will save, but those chosen should not be boastful or have a sense of entitlement. We cannot know who God choses; our job is to keep trusting and looking to Him.

Daniel 7 & 8 - Antichrist: Copycat and Pseudo Deliverer
There is information about the Antichrist in the prophecies of Daniel, and it is mirrored in the book of Revelation. Antichrist is a copycat, a perverter of the truth and a pseudo deliverer. He will be a peacemaker who speaks great words, but his words hide dark intentions. He will influence many people and subdue countries, and he will war against the saints. It is important to study these prophecies and to correct the bad information that has been propagated.

Types and Antitypes of Antichrist
In order to understand who the person of Antichrist will be, and what his mind is like, we begin by compiling a profile of him through the Old and New Testament: studying his names, and the types, and antitypes that point to him.

What Do We Do When We Don’t See Eye to Eye?
What should we do when we don’t see eye to eye? Specifically, what should you do when you vehemently disagree with your pastor? And what do you do if your pastor is me? If we’re really looking to understand, we first have to look to the Bible.

Revelation 17 & 18 - Who Is the Great Whore in the Book of Revelation?
Before one can understand who the great whore is in the book of Revelation, a lot of historical premise must be set from the book of Genesis. Learning about Nimrod, Babel, the tower of Babel, and Babylon sets the stage for understanding its symbolic meaning in the book of Revelation as it is referenced in connection with “the great whore.”

Pastor Melissa Scott exposed the truth about Who Is the Great Whore in the Book of Revelation?
Revelation 17 King James Version
1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.
6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

Romans 11 - Complacency and the Departure from the Ways of God - From Moses to Messiah #17
Do not take your salvation for granted and get complacent lest you engage in spiritual pride. It takes vigilance to stay by the stuff. In the Old Testament the children of Israel drifted away repeatedly and much of the church in America today has departed from the ways of God, but there is still time to return to Him. He promises a new covenant in which He will put His law in our hearts and forgive our iniquity. To those who take Him at His word and trust Him, He will be merciful.

Romans 11 - Election by Grace Is God’s Prerogative - From Moses to Messiah #16
A lesson from the Apostle Paul, as someone who once rejected Christ, shows us that we should not get puffed up in our calling as gentiles. God’s not done with the Jewish people, and we should not make the mistake of thinking we know who He’s going to save. The picture of election by grace shows us that it’s God’s prerogative to choose.

Romans 10 - You’re Not Born to Desire God - From Moses to Messiah #14
A lot of churches today present the message of “special sinners” or a “special way of salvation” and neither one of those is biblical. None of us are born to desire God, and none of us have “special sins.” We’re all born with a dark heart. We’re all sinners in need of salvation. We cannot save ourselves, and we must recognize that salvation doesn’t come by doing good deeds, or hearing words from a minister that make us “feel good.” It comes by hearing the words of faith.

Pastor Melissa Scott exposed the truth about You’re Not Born to Desire God.
Romans 10 King James Version
1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

Romans 9 - A Remnant Shall be Saved - From Moses to Messiah: The Biblical History of Judaism #13
In the book of Romans, Paul looks to the prophet Isaiah’s declaration about the children of Israel and proclaims that a remnant shall be saved, but not all. He addresses Jews that thought their salvation was automatic. They could not accept that Christ was the end of the law and that the gentiles could be saved without it. God wants trust, not perfection and for that trust there is eternal salvation through Him.

Romans 9:15-26 - God Will Have Mercy on Whom He Will - From Moses to Messiah #12
Why do some Jews still reject Christ? God has the right to choose whom He will save, whom He will show mercy, and whom He will reward. He also has the right to choose whom He will not. Don't assume you know which is which.

Pastor Melissa Scott exposed the truth about God Will Have Mercy on Whom He Will.
Romans 9:1-26 King James Version
1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,
2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.
3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:
4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.
10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;
11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.
13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.
26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.

Not All Israel Is of Israel - From Moses to Messiah: The Biblical History of Judaism #11
Many of Abraham’s seed believed they didn’t need salvation because they had the covenants, the promises, and the law. Although they were anticipating a Messiah, they rejected Christ and everything He had to say. Paul makes it clear as to “why” in the book of Romans: not all Israel is of Israel. Some of them had the capacity to respond; many did not. The same is true today, and until God gives the capacity, no one can receive.

John 1:11 - The Rejection of Christ - From Moses to Messiah: A Look at Judaism #10
Not all the Jews rejected Christ, but many of the spiritual leaders were against Him because they had no spiritual discernment and they perceived Him as a threat to their position. There were also many people who only followed Jesus for self-serving reasons. The rejection of Christ was foretold by God and there are still many people today who will not hear. The Apostle Paul is an example of one called by God, who rejected Christ until God turned him around. In the end, God will have those He desires to have whether Jew or Gentile.

Pastor Melissa Scott exposed the truth about The Rejection of Christ.
John 1:1-34 King James Version
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
19 And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?
20 And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.
21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.
24 And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.
25 And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?
26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;
27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.
28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.
29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.
31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.
32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.
33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

God has a plan for the future of the land of Israel, when He will reunite the people of the Northern and Southern Kingdoms. But we must also understand the history that shaped Judaism from the time of the exile to the fall of Jerusalem. God is not done with the Jewish people.

God Has a Perfect Plan - From Moses to Messiah: The Biblical History of Judaism #8
The ugly picture that God paints through the prophecies of Ezekiel helps us to understand just how low the children of Israel, specifically the southern kingdom of Judah, had fallen before they were carried into Babylonian captivity. They also show us God’s perfect plan for the future restoration of Israel, both northern and southern kingdoms.

The Crystallization of the Newfound Faith - From Moses to Messiah: The Biblical History of Judaism #7
The practices and identity of the Jewish people began to crystallize after their return from exile in Babylon. They began to strictly enforce the law and to separate themselves from the ways of the foreigners who ruled over them. This period also saw the addition of new laws and holidays, which the Jewish people strictly adhered to. They developed a national spirit and fought to protect their religion.

Let No One Dogmatize You
VF-2295 Colossians Series Chapter 2 #19
Since we are buried, dead and resurrected with Christ and set free from the law by Him, why would we stand by and let ourselves get dogmatized and be put under regulations by man? There is a long list of traditions that man has added on to the church, but they are not the word of God. Having a relationship with God is not keeping regulations but trusting Him and talking to Him.

Colossians 2 King James Version
1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

The Emergence of Judaism - Your Traditions Have Made Void the Word of God #14
The Jewish identity and practices of Judaism did not begin to emerge until after the return from Babylonian captivity. Although the priesthood had maintained certain practices and preserved the Hebrew tongue, most of the population had forgotten these things. During this time there were waves of religious zeal as well as disobedience among the people.

Matrilineal Descent Is Not Biblical - Your Traditions Have Made Void the Word of God #13
Every Jew that you encounter today will say that the mother must be Jewish in order for her child to be Jewish, yet there is no scriptural validation for this doctrine. Furthermore, the Biblical genealogies show that God focused on the father, not the mother. So, why is this error of matrilineal descent held by so many Jews today?

Let No One Rob You of Your Reward
What happened at the church in Colossae is still happening in the church today: adding onto the simplicity of the gospel. All of these add-ons seem to be super spiritual, like the worshiping of angels and marvelous visions, but in reality, they’re fake, and all they do is distract. Let no one rob you of your reward which comes by simple faith in Jesus Christ, cultivating a personal relationship with Him in the here and now.

Investigating the Origins of Judaism - Your Traditions Have Made Void the Word of God #12
The idea that all the descendants of Abraham are Jewish is wrong. The Bible says Abraham was the father of many nations, not just one. One of the seeds descending from him were a covenant line, but they were not always obedient to God, and they commingled with pagans. The idea that people are Jewish by matrilineal descent is not based on God’s word.

The Origin of Judaism: Have You Believed a Lie?
I will not tolerate people saying that I am hating on people or warping someone else’s faith. My only mission is to uncover the truth and present it as I find it. Understanding the past is important for the Christian because it will help us to understand the future.

Sabbathing: From Creation to Christianity
God’s Sabbath was when He rested from all His work on the seventh day of Creation, but the term “sabbath” is first used when God gave the children of Israel a day to rest from their work, which turned into a commemoration of their deliverance from Egypt. The sabbathing of the Christian is not limited to a single day but is a relationship of trusting Christ every day.

Were There “Jews” in Egypt at the Time of the Exodus?
Using both biblical and extra biblical records we can establish a hard date for the Exodus, and in doing so we can know what the people we have traditionally referred to as “Jews” were practicing, and how they were actually referred to at the time of the Exodus. This will help us clear up any cultural confusion and homogenization surrounding these people.

Jewish History: Not as Ancient as You Might Think
The religious history of God’s people and the Promised Land is complicated. Many peoples have occupied the land over the centuries, but God was focused on the line of Shem leading up to Christ. Not all of God’s people were Jewish, nor were they practicing Judaism. God promised to bless all the tribes of Israel, and He will reunite them one day.

Unfolding the History of Judaism
There is a lot of ignorance in academia regarding the terms “Israelites,” “Hebrews,” and “Jews.” Judaism did not exist until after the return from captivity, and God's people did not always have the same religious practices. Who is who, and who the land of Israel belongs to, is more complicated than we might think.
