Israel is at war, and its people need our prayers. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the recent attacks on Israel and Jerusalem. He offers insight on the war, our nation’s role, our responsibility to Israel and the Jewish people, and how antisemitism and the persecution of Christians are fueled by the same spirit: the spirit of antichrist. We’re living in tumultuous and deceptive times, and we need the power of the Holy Spirit to help us and guide us as we move forward. Pastor Allen offers practical examples of what this looks like by examining the lives of Abraham, Esther, and Joseph.

Jesus’ ministry began with just a few disciples, but He quickly found himself surrounded by crowds wherever He went. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson offers several lessons we can learn by examining Jesus’ interactions with those crowds. Jesus didn’t try to pacify the people or be accepted within the current culture. Instead, He followed the Spirit’s leading as He moved from place to place, performing miracles and speaking truth wherever He went. Pastor Allen offers specific ways we can step away from the crowd as we focus on following God and leading with our faith wherever He leads.

When Jesus interacted with crowds and the disciples, He didn’t treat everyone the same way. He drew close, strengthened, and invested in those who consistently choose to stand beside Him. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses how equity—equal outcomes for everyone—is not a biblical idea. God has a unique plan for each of our lives, and our response to Him shows whether we are trustworthy and faithful disciples—or not. As we examine the disciples’ lives, we see that following Jesus requires courage. It’s normal to feel frightened as we step forward in faith, but we need to be faithful to take that next step. Pastor Allen also discusses the importance of prayer and offers a simple way to make it a part of our daily interactions with our family, friends, and neighbors.

It’s time to stop blending in with the people around us and decide to whole-heartedly follow Jesus—even when that comes with a cost.
