The power of thot
What does "female power" look like? Do attractive young women have power over men? Is "sexual power" a thing? Are Instagram thots confident women who love their bodies? Is the "happy hooker" an empowered businesswoman, taking advantage of lonely, naive men? Do women become depressed and self-hating as they age and lose the male gaze? Do they struggle to compete with 20 year olds? Join myself, Mary Lou Singleton, and our dear Isabella Malbin, who is back with us again, on Wednesday, Nov 29 at 5PM PT/8PM ET to talk about what (actual) power looks like for women.

Where are all the women? Part 4: Why do progressive women sacrifice themselves to men's revolutions?
Feminists for Free Speech presents a new live stream series: Where Are All the Women? A question asked perpetually with regard to the gender identity debate and consequent attack on women's rights and free speech demands to know, "Where are all the women?!" We are, after all the ones losing our sex-based rights and sex-segregated spaces... Many want to know why "the women" have fallen silent? Why "the women" have fallen for movements that hurt their interests and rewrite their realities? Movements that endanger women and girls?
Well, we are here. Some of us anyway. We are long time feminists who have been banished into political homelessness. We have been speaking out for many years, but have been ignored. We are advocates for free speech, civil liberties, truth, open debate, and bodily autonomy.
On today's stream we are talking about progressive women defending not only gender identity ideology, but Hamas' attacks on Israelis.

Vancouver Island Speaks Out! Gender identity ideology, women's spaces, and parental rights
On October 1, 2023, we hosted a panel and Q&A discussing gender identity ideology, women's spaces, and parental rights. Initially, we had booked a space in Nanaimo, BC, but the venue owners cancelled, fearing "business suicide" on account of harassment and libel from activists in the area. We were very lucky to secure another venue last minute at the Saltaire Community Center in Ladysmith. On Saturday afternoon, the community centre began receiving constant emails threatening, harassing and bullying them. Because of these emails one of the hall managers (all volunteer run by community members) became worried and went down to check on the hall that night. When he arrived he found the front of the hall has been vandalized. The venue filed a report with the RCMP. The hall managers and CVRD board decided not to cancel our event, and it went forward peacefully.
Panelists were: Meghan Murphy, Janayh Wright, Bryony Dixon
Moderator: Gwen O’Mahony
Link to slideshow/resources: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1LXVEgLkUQKmOq6Sl2vwnPGoBW7CXt6O7/edit#slide=id.p1
We experienced further challenges with our next venue, booked for Wednesday, October 4th:
https://www.meghanmurphy.ca/p/the-cowichan-community-centre-has
We managed to secure another venue, but need the support of Canadians more than ever. Our speech is being silenced and it is time to fight.

Siddharth Kara on sex trafficking and the horrors of modern slavery in cobalt mines
Siddharth Kara is an author, researcher, and activist. He has been documenting the realities of modern slavery around the world, and pushing for accountability. Siddharth is the author of the devastating "Cobalt Red: How the Blood of the Congo Powers Our Lives," as well as "Sex Trafficking: Inside the Business of Modern Slavery," among other titles. I spoke with him about the realities of sex trafficking around the world and the horrors of the cobalt mines, which feed the West's endless hunger for new technologies, particularly in the form of "green" electric vehicles.

Where are all the women? Part 3
Feminists for Free Speech presents a new live stream series: Where Are All the Women? We are, after all the ones losing our sex-based rights and sex-segregated spaces... Many want to know why "the women" have fallen silent?
They haven't, of course. "The women" are, in fact, everywhere, but silenced (rather than "silent"), censored, banned from social media, and without platforms to speak out.

Mike Nayna on b******t PhDs, viral racism, and The Reformers
Mike Nayna is an Australian filmmaker. His 2016 short, "Digilante," caught viral cancel culture and race politics at a defining moment that challenged his assumptions as well as the narrative. The Evergreen Affair led him to James Lindsay, Peter Boghossian, and Helen Pluckrose, who famously produced the grievance studies hoax. Mike's most-recent project is a series of films called "The Reformers," which documents the grievance studies hoax and academia's grave failures.

An ex-john opens up about buying sex and why he became an advocate against the sex trade
Gene McConnell is an ex-john. At one time in his life, he had a porn addiction, was paying for sex regularly (while married), and even attempted to sexually assault a woman. Gene stopped himself, but the near-attempt and consequent arrest forced him down another path, towards dealing with his past trauma and related sex, anger, and emotional issues, as well as towards a life of talking to other men about his past, how he changed his life, and what was at the root of his exploitative behaviour and dehumanizing view of women.
Today, he tours college campuses, speaking to young men about pornography and prostitution, is the founder of Authentic Relationships International, is a youth pastor, and is married with three children.
I found Gene through a documentary film produced by Exodus Cry called Buying Her. He is featured in the film among a number of ex-johns who speak candidly about what they did to women in the sex trade, why, and how it impacted their life and the lives of others.

Shannon Hayes on choosing happiness over 'success'
Do you want to be the best and have the most? Or do you want to enjoy the journey? How much does "success" really matter and how can we choose a good, fulfilling, happy life over wealth while still making things work? I spoke with Shannon Hayes, "The Radical Homemaker" and the author of The Grassfed Gourmet, Radical Homemakers, and Redefining Rich. Shannon grew up on a farm in the Catskills, which she continues to run today with her family, along with the Sap Bush Hollow Farm Store & Cafe.

Karin Litzcke is an ex-NDP supporter now running for the Conservative Party of BC
Karin Litzcke is an ex-NDP supporter and Vancouverite now running as an MLA candidate for the Conservative Party of BC. I interviewed Karin in 2021 when she was running for the People's Party of Canada and was one of the only candidates pushing back against the Covid lockdowns and mandates as well as openly challenging gender identity ideology. Now, she's running in the BC provincial by-elections for the Mount Pleasant riding and is one of the only candidates in the province fighting to save women's sports, opposing gender identity ideology in schools, and advocating for better policy addressing the addiction and homelessness crisis in Vancouver.

Porn is hijacking your sexuality
Pornography has gone fully mainstream. It is seen as a harmless, normal, natural part of men's lives. Social media, the internet, dating apps and sites like OnlyFans have incorporated porn into our lives such that it is unavoidable. Kids are being exposed to porn at ever younger ages. Those who offer criticisms of porn are labelled as "sex-negative," old-fashioned, censorial, "shaming," or prudish.
That said, things seem to be changing as more and more men are waking up to the impact of porn on their mental health, relationships, sexualities, and lives. Men are talking to other men (and boys) about the harms of porn, opening up a new and necessary conversation.
Daniel Principe is Collective Shout’s youth advocate and educator. I spoke with him about his experience growing up with porn, why he stopped consuming it, and what the impact of porn has been on young people today.

Robin Dunbar on friends—the cure for all that ails us
Friends are fun, but they bring much more to our lives than just company. In his book, "Friends: Understanding the Power of our Most Important Relationships," Robin Dunbar explains why, beyond mental health benefits, friends, more than anything else, offer longer, healthier lives. (And no, online friends don't count.)
Robin is an anthropologist, evolutionary psychologist, head of the Social and Evolutionary Neuroscience Research Group at the University of Oxford and an author. I spoke with him about friends: why we need them, how we make them, what the magic number of friends is, and what to do if we find ourselves lacking.

San Francisco sucks: Leighton Woodhouse on addiction, crime, and the Twitter files
Leighton Woodhouse is a journalist, documentary filmmaker, and co-founder of Public on Substack, where he has been reporting on addiction, homelessness, prostitution, crime, and policing in San Francisco, as well as on the Twitter files. I spoke with Leighton about the situation in San Francisco and how it got so bad, as well as about his political trajectory, which (like mine) went from very left to questioning the ideologies and political views he'd long been unquestioning of.

Tucker is fired, Don Lemon is gone, Buzzfeed is dead (and maybe Vice?), plus no one trusts the media anymore anyway — is this the end of Big Media? Are independents the future? What on earth was Fox thinking? Is this a win for the left? I'll be live with Batya Ungar-Sargon, author of "Bad News: How Woke Media Is Undermining Democracy," Tuesday, May 2 at 6PM PT/9PM ET. Why is the Canadian government trying to regulate what you see online?
Justin Trudeau's Liberal Party is trying to push through a bill that would give the government the power to filter what Canadians see in their news feeds, on YouTube, and on social media. I spoke with journalist Rupa Subramanya about Bill C-11 and its consequences, should the bill become legislation, in early April. Rupa Subramanya is a reporter for The Free Press and a columnist at the National Post. Read her article, "Trudeau’s Battle Against a Free Internet":

Mary Harrington thinks feminism needs to go backwards, not forward
Has feminism gone too far? Mary Harrington, a UK writer, contributing editor at UnHerd, and author of "Feminism Against Progress," thinks so. In fact, she thinks we need to go back — way back. Industrialization, AI, cosmetic surgeries that chase youth eternally, and interventions like the pill have not offered women freedom or empowerment, leading us to wonder if things should have stopped with the first wave. Certainly, Mary believes we should be moving in an entirely different direction.
I spoke with Mary in early March about her anti-futuristic vision of the future.
