People are getting stupid, and now there is proof.
I'm Peter Serefine with another Liberty Minute.
This year’s spring edition of Intelligence Online reported on IQ tests of 18-60-year-olds. The online magazine has been doing this study for quite some time, and this year’s report was the first time the average IQ of Americans dropped.
Usually, the average IQ went up 3-5 points every decade. This time it went down.
Well, look at the age range, 18-60-year-olds. Anyone under 48 was educated entirely under the federal department of Education. Those who pre-date the Department of Education are aging out of the study.
Do we really need any more evidence that government, especially the federal government, should not be involved in educating our young people?
Instead of critical thinking young people are being taught sexuality. Logic and reason have become political correctness. History is now critical race theory.
This is starting to look like the plot of the movie Idiocracy.

Democrats want to regulate the SupremeCourt.
I'm Peter Serefine with another Liberty Minute.
So, Democrat lawmakers want to regulate the Supreme Court, a separate and equal branch of government. As a Constitutional originalist, I take issue with this concept as a whole. As a human being with a little common sense, I take issue with the particulars.
The US Constitution gave Congress the authority to establish any necessary courts beneath the Supreme Court, but that is where Congressional authority ends regarding the courts.
The Senate Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on the Federal Courts, Oversight, Agency Action, and Federal Rights, wants to mandate that justices be recused if they have any financial connection to a case.
Hmm, using that same logic, no member of Congress should ever be allowed to vote on any bill they have a financial connection to, but if that happened then how would Congress maintain their ability to become millionaires at a rate over two times higher than the rest of the population?
Congress, regulate yourselves effectively and then maybe we can talk about allowing you to assume power over the only branch of government that ever keeps you in check AT ALL.

It Is primary season again.
I'm Peter Serefine with another Liberty Minute.
Tuesday was primary day in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, my home state. That really got me thinking about the entire primary process.
Primaries are how the two main political parties, private organizations, decide who they will put on the ballot for the actual election.
The direct primary election is unique to the United States.
The current system has only been around since the 1970s, and somehow, it has become taxpayer funded. The 2016 primary elections cost taxpayers over $427 million.
To make that idea even worse, not everyone is allowed to participate in the taxpayer funded selection process. 26 million registered voters can't vote in primaries because they are not registered to one of the two big parties and live in closed primary states.
What's the solution? Make the parties pay for their own primaries or go back to caucuses. The parties pay for the process in every caucus state.
If you believe in limited government and are fed up with the uni-party. Visit https://constitutionparty.com/ and break out of the two-party illusion.

Tomorrow!
A More Tyrannical King publishes TOMORROW!
"In order to successfully fight the ideological war of the 2020s, it's critical to have easily-discussed, yet intellectually deep explanations of our current state. It's even more important to have simple, realistic solutions. A More Tyrannical King provides both and is a must-read for every engaged American--regardless of party--who wants to see the return of a Nation that works."

And so it begins.
I'm Peter Serefine with another Liberty Minute.
Representative Boebert’s resolution to impeach Resident Biden did not get the privileged status she was hoping for. Privilege status would have forced the House of Representative to vote on the resolution.
Instead, the impeachment was sent to committee. Technically that means the investigation has begun, but many bills and resolutions never come out of committee and effectively die.
I don't understand why any investigation is needed. Resident Biden stood at a podium and told us that all of his Constitutional advisors said the eviction moratorium during CoVid was unconstitutional but he was going to extend it anyway.
Like me, Biden is bound by an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and he openly admitted on camera he was not going to do that.
That alone should be enough to impeach any office holder at any level, regardless of party affiliation.

Let's talk debt vs. deficit
I'm Peter Serefine with another Liberty Minute.
The National Debt is like your credit card balance. It is the amount of money owed if you pay it off right now.
The National Debt Limit is like your credit limit. It is the maximum amount you are allowed to borrow.
The 14th Amendment says that the Public Debt shall not be questioned. It does NOT say that increasing the debt can't be challenged or questioned.
Every time we approach the debt limit, politicians on both sides say that we will default on our debt if we don't raise the limit.
That is only true if government keeps spending on everything they want.
Only two expenses are specifically authorized by the US Constitution, the Public Debt and National Defense.
Constitutionally, everything else is optional. Pay the debt payment and the National Defense expenses and budget what is left; no debt increase is needed.
Don't let politicians lie to you so they can keep spending your money with reckless abandon.

Governor DeSantis is officially in the presidential race.
I'm Peter Serefine with another Liberty Minute.
DeSantis used to be a pretty cookie cutter Republican. Since the Wuhan flu pandemic, he seems to have leaned pretty hard into the MAGA / conservative camp.
I don't know if he actually grew up to be a conservative or if he is just acting like one for political gain. Either way, I have a couple of suggestions for him:
Embrace your youth. We The People are tired of octogenarian politicians.
If you want to have any chance of winning the primaries, you need to win over a significant number of Trump supporters. One way might be to promise that when elected you'll pardon Trump and put an end to years of tax funded investigations.
If you have become more conservative over time, admit that. Make a public statement about your beliefs when you were in the House and how they've changed.
I'm not leaning towards any candidate, yet. I want all the candidates to put fight for the nomination.

Let's talk Biden-conomy
I'm Peter Serefine with another Liberty Minute.
Resident Biden and his team are standing behind their economic record as Biden kicks off his re-election campaign. Let's talk about some numbers.
$2.39 was the price of a gallon of regular gasoline on inauguration day, 2021.
$3.56 was the average price yesterday. That is a $1.17 or 49% increase which costs the average driver an additional $525 per year.
So, Biden-conomy is not good on gasoline.
2.65% was the rate for a 30-year mortgage when Biden took office.
7.51% is the 30-year fixed rate today. That is a 283% increase that costs home buyers and extra $528 per month on a $100,000 mortgage.
Add those together and the Biden-conomy costs the average home buyer with a car an extra $6861 per year.
Sure, unemployment is down, but Biden-flation is robbing all of us.

A big win for the first amendment
I'm Peter Serefine with another Liberty Minute.
U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty of Louisiana granted a preliminary injunction in the case of State of Missouri v. Joseph R Biden Jr. brought by the attorneys general of Louisiana and Missouri.
The injunction partially restrains the federal government from working with big tech companies to censor Americans’ speech on social media platforms.
Judge Terry Doughty has decided that the lawsuit is likely to win and issued the preliminary injunction.
Remember in July 2021 when Whitehouse Press Secretary Jen Psaki told the world that the administration was flagging content and informing social media companies? Well, anyone who has read the first amendment immediately realized that was unconstitutional. Two years later the courts are doing something.
If we don't have free speech we are not free citizens. This will likely be the biggest win for the right to free speech in over 100 years.
Now, where do I go to get my followers back after being canceled by YouTube and TikTok?
